Butter chicken

I absolutely love Bombay Darbar. I've ordered in and order take out multiple times and they never failed me. It's my favorite go to in the Grove by far. The food is delicious and great service and it always comes out on time. It's also a great scene too, once you're done eating, you can always walk around the Grove too.

I came here with a friend of mine for dinner after we had both driven by so many times without trying. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful, they have a huge menu, full bar, and tons of seating. The service was great, the workers were very nice and attentive. The food was super tasty, came in generous portions, and cane out quickly.

Garlic Basil Naan, Regular Naan and a Mango Lassi in the bg

We have been meaning to try this place for a while as I've passed it by multiple times and even seen their ads on social media, and finally made the trip. The place is spacious with a nice bar set-up and a lovely interior decor. We were seated immediately and got down to business. We ordered Samosas, Chicken Pakora, Paneer Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Regular and Garlic Basil Naan and a few Mango Lassis to help wash it all down. We got all dishes "Thali" style which includes basmati rice, vegetable curry of the day, and a naan bread for an extra $7. Everything came out quickly, tasty, and the serving sizes were generous, we definitely went home with leftovers. My personal favorites were the Paneer Tikka Masala, Chicken Pakora, and the Mango Lassi had the perfect mix of tangy and sweet. However, the end of our dinner ended on a slightly odd note. When the check arrived, our server informed us that cash was "appreciated" and with our bill of $101.13, we paid $120 in cash. Well, after about 10-15 minutes of waiting for our change and receipt, our server never came back to our table until we flagged him down to request it. Personally, it was odd that the receipt showed we "paid" the exact amount of $101.13 rather than the $120 we had provided. I'm guessing he assumed the remaining change was automatically the tip however that wasn't reflected on the check. It's the first time I've ever experienced anything like that, but alas, we would still like to come back here again as our experience was great before this whole check incident.

Naaan butter Chicken and shahi paneer

Omg! Garlic naan! Butter chicken! The shahi paneer is good as well. I got it delivered and it was my first time trying this place! I also got the cilantro naan but the garlic is better in my opinion!

This place really made my day. I haven't had good Indian food since I lived in Los Angeles, and I'm surprised by some of these reviews because the food here is so authentic and delicious!!! We got the chicken korma, butter chicken, the lamb kitchen special, coconut prawns, the basil garlic naan and the goat cheese naan were sooo goood. Just beware the goat cheese naan is a meal in itself! we also got the vegetable biryani. We had left overs but finished them for dinner that night. This place was great, and my server was so nice!

Can't believe I've never reviewed Bombay previously. We consider this restaurant our choice of Indian food across the board. We will literally drive across town from Elk Grove just to eat here. We typically order the same things regardless, which include. . . Veg Saag Alu Rice Garlic Basil Naan Vegetable Samosas The food is made correctly, deliciously, and quickly every time. The sauces are delicious as well. Pricing is fair for dining rates these days. Cocktails are delicious when we're in the mood for one. Parking is.... eh. It is Midtown. You have to kinda be very observant to find a good parking spot, but other than that.... We will return to Bombay over and over. Keep up the great work!!

Mushroom Masala (vegan). Used to be good but now it's greasy.

This place used to be good, but apparently their takeout game is so strong they don't really care about the dine-in service to customers any longer. Case in point, we went here for dinner after work recently and were basically ignored. Multiple times we had to flag down the servers (for things like water and to place our order to begin with) because they were too busy lining up styrofoam takeout containers to come check on us. To make things worse, I asked if the veggie biriyani could be made vegan by leaving the dairy out, the server checked with the kitchen (who said yes), and we still ended up with biriyani smothered in butter and had chunks of paneer throughout. Inedible to me and a waste of money. The mushroom masala, which was also my usual go to was also different, and pretty greasy. New cook maybe? Either way, if a restaurant doesn't care about getting me sick then I don't care to return.

I LOVE IT HERE!!! Amit is one of the best servers I've ever had. I feel so welcomed and look forward to eating here. The food is AMAZING. I literally dance in my seat while eating. Vegetarians will have plenty of great options. 11/10. Favorite spot for sure! We ordered: - Malai kofta - Paneer tikka masala - Vegetable biryani - Goat cheese naan - Roti - Mango lassi YUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

My husband and I finally tried this place after driving by it almost every day! It's much bigger than expected and when we walked in everyone was super nice and welcoming. We were sat really quickly since we came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It's really cute on the inside. They have table seating and a bar with a TV if you're coming alone. We ordered the combo appetizer plate, a basket of garlic naan, and split the butter chicken. It was more than enough food for the both of us as we had leftovers afterwards. Everything tasted delicious and had great flavor. My only complaint is I felt like there wasn't that much chicken in the butter chicken. I felt like I've had better chicken to sauce ratio at other places. They do prefer cash only and will remind you when they give you the bill but they still take card. It looks like they have pretty good lunch specials that run only Monday - Friday. I'd recommend stopping by!

We had the best time here this weekend! Our server Amit made our first experience here awesome. We had the butter chicken, tikka masala, samosas, and rice. 10/10. The restaurant was lively and we felt very welcomed. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!

We've been to Bombay Grill twice and neither experience was good. They seem to do quite a bit of service with Door Dash with a steady stream of delivery drivers coming in and out. Because of that, they seem to prioritize the delivery services to the detriment of their dine in patrons. Both visits we indicated that one of us was vegan and specifically asked to make sure the items we ordered were indeed vegan. The server assured us they would insure that no dairy products would be included in the biriyani we ordered. However, when we got the biriyani we saw cubes which we thought were tofu, but turned out to be paneer. That kinda ruined the meal for us as well as any chance we would return again. I ordered butter chicken which didn't look or taste like butter chicken. I got garlic naan which seemed to be the only saving grace to our meal.

Absolutely loveeeeee this place. The staff are so kind and make you feel at home. Some of the best Indian food in Sac, I don't want to go anywhere else. The food and service is consistently good and reasonably priced. The mojitos are my fav as well. The veggie pakoras are a must try! They also have a bar you can dine at which is cool.

The Butter chicken was delish..Highly recommended

Everest Curry in Sacramento was an absolute win…read more From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was clean, welcoming, and inviting. We were greeted by the sweetest waitress, who promptly took our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu without feeling rushed. For appetizers, we chose the Nepali samosas, mushroom pakora, and goat cheese naan--every single one was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Tikka Masala, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the Butter Chicken. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Paired with the garlic basil naan, it was perfection. A little piece of naan, a small scoop of basmati rice, and a drizzle of that rich, flavorful butter chicken was absolutely chef's kiss. The portions were generous, and I had plenty left over. Now I'm genuinely looking forward to lunch tomorrow so I can relive the experience all over again. If you're looking for incredible Indian and Nepali food in Sacramento, Everest Curry is definitely worth a visit.

The server (I guess...it was a buffet) greeted me warmly, and immediately got my drink order. Water was refilled, no complaints. The paintings were beautiful...and I caught myself looking at them for moments at a time. Now then...I'm working a lot of OT this week, and getting a cold. So, treat myself and help with a cold is two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The butter chicken tasted like lukewarm jarred sweet and sour sauce from a Chinese restaurant...no spice, but nothing resembling any butter chicken I've tried. The chicken curry was...salty...I guess, but not much other flavor. I literally was the first customer...and the samosas were not crispy at all....too soggy. Plate 2 wasn't much better. The goat curry was the most flavorable of anything, but not the best I've had. The tandoori chicken leg I had was borderline undercover. I NEEDED spice today, people ..kill this cold. While some of your patrons are Caucasian, we're American...not British. We like spice. For $24, I expect a buffet of much higher caliber.

The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long. My main critique would be the portion size. For about $20, the paneer came in a pretty small container. Usually, my husband and I can share a dish like that at other restaurants and feel full, but this one didn't quite hit the mark for the price. If you want a bang for your buck, this may not be the spot to go. Ambiance: small, cozy spot Service: server was nice and friendly Overall, this place has a lot of potential--just a few minor things here and there. My rating is based on the overall experience, including food, service, pricing, and portion size.

On a weekday night after work this was a cinch. I confirmed the Veggie Momos were in fact vegan (believe it or not lots of places sadly put dairy in them) and yes they are. Hooray! But why stop there? Our friendly server helped me navigate the other vegan items (there are several) so we also ordered some Veggie Pakora, Began Bartha, and Mushroom Masala to share. No surprise for me, the Veggie Momos were the star of the meal and had a tasty dipping sauce. Everything else was also good and had plenty of favor. I would definitely come back for more.

The butter chicken is top tier! Very buttery, boneless, great spice and paired with delicious naan! The tandoori chicken tikka masala was delicious as well! My husband and I are so impressed by the freshness of the food, and how quickly everything is prepared! You order and pay at the counter and then the completed meal is brought to you. The portions are very big! Leftovers taste just as great the next day too! The ambiance of the restaurant is very laid back, modern design, and very very clean! Delta Shores is located haft way between my girlfriend and I. I went on the Delta Shores webpage…read moreand looked at the available restaurants. Chat Bistro is a newer restaurant to me and it had 4.5 stars so it got my attention. I looked at some of the other restaurants and they had less starts on yelp so this was going to be our new favorite. As it turns out I parked right behind the restaurant. The parking lot was busy, but not so much that I couldn't find a close space. I didn't see any disabled parking as I walked to the front of the restaurant. There may have been disabled parking on the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty cool, even in the summer and it was 97 out at July 9, 2026. My girlfriend wore a short over her tank top which was a great idea. I wish I had brought a light jacket. I was a bit taken back when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't a sit down place. I was hoping for a sit down restaurant. When I arrived one couple was sitting outside in there fenced off seating area. And there was a large party indoors just finishing up and ordering some extra food to go. They had so many empty dishes on their tables. I was happy surprised that there were so many empty tabes. I didn't think ahead with the worry that they would be packed as we were coming at the dinner hour, 5:30pm on a Thursday. We ordered at the front counter by choosing our dishes off the menu overhead. We paid and then they brought us our food and drinks. They didn't give us a number or buzzer. It was really nice. Lychee Shake- Perfect flavor and texture. It was a slush drink that tasted very much like Lychee. I'm a huge Lychee fan and even have fresh Lychees in my fridge so I was very satisfied. $4.99 Iced Rooh-Afza- Not my favorite, it tased like roses. It was the consistency of an iced tea type drink. Not a slush. $3.99 Butter Chicken: Boneless tandoori chicken, simmered in a mild tomato cream sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and bay leaves. $17.99- good, but not great. It wasn't the favorite Butter Chicken I've ever had, but not bad either. Chicken BIryani: Seasoned basmati rice and chicken served with Riata $15.99 We ordered mild and it had a little spice to it, which was good. The Riata was a good plus to it and took it down to mild. It was good, but there was too much chicken and not enough rice. You sure did get your money's worth with the amount of Chicken they put in it. Naan- Very fresh and came with the Butte Chicken. The best party of dinner was sharing it with a long time friend of mine. The food was just an excuse to get together. Would I go back, sure it wasn't bad and maybe other dishes will be more my thing. The Lychees slush was really good. I usually don't order drinks, but my girlfriend suggested it and I couldn't turn it down.
