My husband and I decided to try Everest based on the amazing reviews here, but we had a mixed experience with our order the other night. The online ordering system was easy to use, and I appreciated that it made check-boxes available for the selection of different spice levels, proteins, etc. Our meals emerged hot and fresh, and the jhol momos - which we ordered to share - were light and flavourful, quite delicious. On the other hand, the shrimp biryani had very few shrimp, and both entrées were so very salty that we couldn't eat them. I even tried to remove the items from their sauces and reheat them with water, but when everything still tasted sharply saline, we decided that the momos alone would be our supper. (I will point out that, because we had driven a take-out order home and did not want to venture back out, we did not contact the restaurant; that's on us, not on Everest.) Overall, I think that the momos are worth having again and that I might not drive out to Cary to visit here otherwise. read more

Came in on a Friday night and the place was busy but there was one empty table and my GF and I were promptly seated. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and Tandoori Roti. My GF is allergic to dairy and couldn't have the basmati rice that comes with the entrees so they offered us an extra order of roti. The tikka masala was the best I've had in Raleigh and my GF's curry was full of flavor, too. Both were well-balanced in terms of not being too sweet or too salty. Portions were generous and we had enough for leftovers for the next day. The servers were very friendly, which made our meal even more enjoyable. This place is DELICIOUS. Went there for lunch with my parents and it did not disappoint. We got a wide variety of foods, vegan, goat and lamb, so we had it all. We were referred by one of my moms' friends from Nepal, so that's instantly when you know it's the place to be. The service was just as amazing as the food, and he was incredibly kind and helpful. No pictures because it smelled so good that we instantly started to try the food out. Absolutely wonderful gem! I stumbled on this place after I picked up a purchase from the Auto Part shop because I was starving and needed to grab a bite to eat. I was not disappointed. I never had a Nepalese dish but after looking at the menu I saw familiar dishes I generally eat at Indian restaurants so I was totally ready. Not only are the prices comparable but the portions are generous! I ordered the Tandori wings and the Samosa Chaat, along with some Chai tea. By myself, I may remind you. It was quite a lot of food and it was very flavorful ( especially the samosa Chaat). Not only was the food cooked fresh to order, it was also very quick. Pictures of Nepal on the walls, colorful flags in the ceiling and red leather sofa booths. The chicken vindaloo has the right texture on the chicken and potatoes, not too soft or hard. The sauce is good and not too heavy. Large portion size and generous serving of rice. Service was not very attentive and didn't check if I needed anything. The music is a bit too loud for an intimate dining experience, although I was dining by myself, maybe I shouldn't say. As close to a desi momos as it can be in the US , nice lunch express thali which comes with 2 entrees (tikka kofta and Chana masala ..both were good) and dal(lentil), pakora and rice, I got a garlic nan which was USD 3.45 so overa the thali costed me 15 bucks, the jhol momos were very good ..I got chicken momos which came in a curry style soup..overall very good in terms of taste but the texture of momos could be thinner. Absolutely delicious! I ordered take out here for the first time last Friday night. Online ordering was super easy, which I really appreciate. I chose the chicken kadai with basmati rice and garlic naan. It was so delicious! The flavors were lovely, heat level was just right, and the garlic naan was super garlicky and tasty. The total cost was about $15 and I ended up getting two meals out of it, plus still have 1/2 the container of rice in my fridge. I will absolutely be returning! This was my 1st time eating Indo-Asian food and it was AMAZING! The food, service and atmosphere were great! I mostly eat vegetarian and I ordered tiki masala kofta. It was great. The base was creamy with a bit of tomato. It had a sweet taste. When combined with the rice it makes a perfect pair! My husband ordered the tiki masala with lamb. His meal wasn't as sweet or creamy as my plate but he really enjoyed it! It did have a bit of a kick of spice but the server asked what level of spicy he would like. As for my children we ordered the red dragon(noodles with chicken) they really liked it! The kids plate is big enough for two to share! The food overall was great but the service was better. This was our first time here (for dinner, mid-week). Both my wife and I very much enjoyed the experience. We shared an order of Kashmiri Naan bread which nicely complemented our entrees of Lamb Korma. Mine ordered mild-medium spicy and my wife's very mild. Aside from both dishes being plentiful and very tasty, one thing that set them apart from other Indian restaurants we have eaten at was that the spice levels were spot on, exactly as we ordered them. When I received the bill I noticed that each entree had a "heat level" number printed. Mine was a 4 (mild-medium) and my wife's was a 1 (mild). I learned the scale goes from 1 to 10. That's a lot of attention to detail that most places don't offer. We also appreciated that the chef came out to ask us if we were enjoying our food. And how helpful and attentive the young woman was that waited on us. We'll be back here for sure! read more

The food at this place is fantastic! Give them a shot! If you try to order on Yelp it says they might be closed but they aren't. You have to call to place the order. I hope they get that fixed soon because it's probably driving away business. The Gobi Manchurian is hands down the best cauliflower dish out there! The tandoori chicken is amazing, the rice is great, the MoMo(dumplings) are fantastic any way you get them. This last time we got them in chili sauce and they were great! Love eating here! I found this restaurant on a whim after my go-to Indian restaurant was closed because the chef was on vacation. I got the following food to-go: samosas, chicken 65, and 2 chicken tikka masala's. When I called in the order the man asked me on a scale of 1-10 how spicy I would like my food. I ordered a 5 for the chicken 65 and one of the chicken tikka masala's and a 7 for the other entree. I will say after a 30 min. ride home the food was still HOT. I loved this! As far as the spice level goes, if you are not a big spice fan then err on the side of caution. My husband doesn't tend to like really spicy food and he found the 5 to be too much for him. I ordered the 7 for myself and it was pretty dang spicy, but this was good for me. I wish this place was closer to my house because I really enjoyed their food and service. If you are in the area, I suggest you trying this place out. read more

My wife and I ate there last night, for the fourth or fifth time. Last night, we tried the chicken 65 appetizer which was, without doubt, the best chicken 65 I have ever tasted. It was a large portion, too. On to the entrees - lamb vindaloo and lamb rogan josh - both absolutely superb. Topped off with a very tasty garlic naan and a Flying Horse, this was the best Indian food we have had in a long time, and we have eaten all over this area, and different countries (I was raised on Indian food in England). I finally had a chance to stop by here after months of people saying they had good momos. I had the Chicken Jhol Momos (chicken momos in broth) which I ordered 8/10 on their spice scale. Happy to report that they have really good momos and the best jhol I've had in the Triangle! Their jhol is super similar to the jhol you find in Nepal and it's packed with ground up toasted soybeans (my fave)! They also wrap their momos to perfection, which made me enjoy them even more. I'm going to need to find the time to go and try more items from their menu because these were really good and took me by surprise. read more
