The chicken tikka masala is amazing, the garlic naan is superb. I typically find that tikka masala is too salted or heavy on the tomato but this restaurant really has the soft umami down pat. Great find! We stumbled upon this spot almost by accident while looking for a place to eat last night. When you open the door, it smells so good! It's a small place, but the staff is so very polite and attentive. I had goat/lamb korma, and our table shared garlic naan. I highly recommend the Cauliflower (dry); seasoned and cooked to perfection! The Vegetable Chili Garlic Noodle consisted of basic veggies (carrots, onions, peas) but the flavor outweighs its simplicity. I also had the Lamb Momo which was good but did not blow me away enough to want to order it again. However, with so many tantalizing dishes to try, I am not worried about what to order next time. After trying just the Momo previously, we came back to try some of the main entrees. We came for lunch, which was a great deal; you get an entree with rice and soup for ~$7-$8. We started with the CAULIFLOWER appetizer, which was pan fried with chili sauce, onions, and bell pepper. It is awesome; I highly recommend it. We had the TOM YUM SOUP. You can get this vegetarian or with chicken or shrimp. We opted for the vegetarian, which was full of different vegetables and tofu. This was probably the best Tom Yum soup I've had. For the main course, we had JASHA KHATSA (chili chicken) with gravy. This seems to be one of their more popular dishes, and rightly so. It had a bit more of a Chinese flavor profile than some other Chili Chicken I've had that was more heavily Indian influenced... this was a great dish. We also had the CHILI GARLIC NOODLES with chicken. Noodles, vegetables, and pieces of chicken with in a dry spice. The noodles were a bit dry but the flavors were good. Truly an authentic Indian restaurant! I was really impressed by all the distinct flavors their dishes had to offer. I've always loved naan, but their garlic naan was the bomb! The flavors and the texture of it was so unique. Their chili chicken fried rice was the best fried rice I've ever had! It had a really good Chinese-Indian taste to it (I don't know how else to describe it lol) The chicken tikka had a very authentic taste to it. Almost too authentic for me but hey, i'd rather have it this way than it be too bland! Service was great. Our server was so attentive the entire time. My boyfriend pretty much drinks a glass of water with every bite but he never had to ask for a refill. Ambience is very casual. It seems like most customers just get their food to go. The kebab sizzler is best avoided. We got it one Saturday afternoon and it arrived tepid and about 5 minutes later we found that most of the kebabs were soggy from the water released by the vegetables. I've been to other places that pile a ton of rice on top, and give me very few pieces of goat that is mostly bone instead of meat. I didn't pickup so I can't comment on COVID guidelines but everything was packaged securely and well so that there would be no contamination or spillage. I got the Butter Chicken and it was delicious! Creamy and sweet, just the way I like it. You can tell the chicken was made tandoori style with the hot pink outside, and it was delicious as well. Sometimes I find the chicken to be low quality in these dishes but it was really great. I also got garlic and regular naan. Both were great sizes and tasting on their own and dipped in the sauce. This place is awesome! I was in Raleigh for a week for business. Had the craving to try something less mainstream and found this place. It took me about 15 minutes to decide on what to eat because the the entire menu looks so amazing!! I opted for the lamb korma (I get this @ most places its available) and it was delectable. I ate my self FULL and still had enough to take home. I also ordered the lollipop chicken. It was delicious as well and there portion was ample. I prefer something a bit more savory, but the chicken was still really good. The total for two dishes and a water was $26 before tip and there were probably 4-5 meals encompassing it.
