But this location at the Casino is personal for me because I know the owner Shamar Cotton! We have a long history and to see my guy make this happen makes me super proud! I forgot he opened this up and to run into him by chance because I happened to be there for a dinner at one of the casinos other restaurants and then to hear him speak about the back story just let me know he's going to thrive! So take this review and know the food and service you're going to get when you show up; it's going to be his best! I grew up going to Everett & Jones in the bay and was excited to try out their casino location, unfortunately it did not impress. We were told we had to wait 20 mins for the chicken so we waited and the chicken was so dry it looked like it had just been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Not sure why we had to wait 20 mins. Seems like should've pulled that bill off the smoker hours before. The baked beans were literally crunchy, I was so sad. The ribs and brisket were pretty good and thank GOD their sauce is still delicious and helped out the dry chicken. read more

Me and my wife had just visited the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa and decided to head over to Graton Casino to try out Everett & Jones. I have known about them for years through their Oakland restaurant and had never been, but heard good things. This Everett & Jones is located inside the casino's marketplace food court with other restaurants. There was a small line, but moved pretty fast. The food court was full of tables occupied by other diners (it was Sunday) but we were able to find a spot to sit. The food court was pretty loud, but that's expected. We had gotten the 4-meat combo which consisted of ribs, brisket, chicken and beef links; the combo comes with two sides and we got baked beans and mac n cheese. The baked beans had a nice, sweet, and smoky flavor to them. The mac n cheese was perfect... almost reminded me of my mom's. As for the meats, they all had great flavor. However, the brisket and ribs were a little tough to chew; and the chicken was a little dry. The hot BBQ sauce we got was a nice compliment to the meats tho. It was sweet and did pack a bit of heat which we love. If this site gave half stars rating increments, I would have given this place a 3.5. It was nice BBQ despite the meat being a little tough or dry. The flavors, however, were on point! Oh yeah... their sweet potato pie was amazing as well! read more

Note: this is a food court location in the middle of a very busy casino. Even with the low rating here on Yelp, we decided to give it a chance and sadly, they lived up to their low rating and maybe deserve even less. What's sad is that they have a "captive" audience and so may never change their ways. The BBQ was mediocre at best. I had the 2 choice combo: brisket and chicken with sides green beans and potato salad. The best thing on my platter were the green beans. The potato salad had zero flavor (no seasoning- not even salt). The brisket was 3 paltry 4.5" slices of mostly fat. They are weighing brisket like its weight watchers. The chicken was dry and contained zero BBQ sauce (this is what happens when you weigh & measure but don't trust your staff enough to use their eyes). All that and... 2 slices of dry bread without butter for just under $45. We left feeling ripped off. I have zero problems with weighing food but at that price, I expect to be treated with respect and instead felt disrespected. read more

The employee taking our order was friendly: $33 for a 3-item combo plate of brisket, ribs, and link sausage with a side of mac & cheese, scoop of potato salad, and two slices of plain wheat bread. For the positives: the bbq sauce had a nice balance of tanginess and sweetness and the ribs were tender. For the not-so-positives, none of the meats had much flavor on their own and needed seasoning, the brisket was very dry, the link sausage had such a rough texture that we didn't finish it, the mac and cheese pasta was very soft and overcooked, the potato salad lacked flavor, and the bread didn't come with butter. While we liked the bbq sauce, all of the meat was doused in it .. as if to hide the poorly prepared/cooked meat. read more

Dry, Dry, Dry BBQ at Everett & Jones located inside the Graton Casino Marketplace Food Court. They really need to taste their food from time to time on food quality. I'm sure when it's freshly cooked it's delicious, but sitting in the smoker waiting for customers to purchase over time, the food gets dry. Management needs to taste the food, then, to understand their customer's feedback and throw away overly dried meats. I ordered their 4-piece combo for $40. It included Beef Link, Chicken, Pork Ribs and Beef Slices with two sides and bread. I opted for the potato salad and baked beans. The meats all had strong smokey flavor which overpowered the food. It's been sitting in the smoker too long. The worst meat was the beef link... it had a weird texture and not a good taste. The chicken pieces were small with limited meat. The beef slices were super dry. The ribs were good. It was falling off the bones and a good amount of meat. Sides... the potato salad needed salt and pepper. It had too much relish juices. I found the ribs to be completely tender and tasty. Their sauce is so good it should be bottled and sold. Then I found out that it is, just not there. If they had some I definitely purchased some. I had the mild sauce and it was tangy and sweet without the over vinegary taste. Also had the potatoe salad which I also really liked. I did purchase the small meal, $10, for 3 ribs, potatoe salad, and wheat bread. My friend ordered the 2 plate combo and there was so much food she couldn't finish it, but she also loved the taste. I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. It was a husband and wife team and I found them to be very personable. I had quite a long conversation with them. Now, I don't have to cross a bridge & head over to Oakland or Berkeley when craving mouthwatering barbecue. They're finally in the North Bay! The ambiance here is totally different than the OG location, as it's located in the food court at Graton Casino in Rohnert Park (RP). Yup, from 510 to 707, Everett & Jones decided to open a BBQ joint in RP, where a diverse crowd from all over can congregate in the food court. Good BBQ brings people together. There's a huge line, so be patient. They just opened, took over the former Roadside BBQ joint, there are some things to work out. Maybe there will be an online ordering system soon. Remember when there was a Panda Express and Three Twins ice cream, now there's Habit Burger, Scoops, Boathouse, a Mexican restaurant, Cafe 88, and Starbucks of course. I came here on GRAND OPENING Day 7/1/22. I was looking forward to a new bbq spot in the area especially one that has been around for decades and finally expanded to the north bay. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. We arrived in the Graton food court to see a few people in line. A server is there with a menu on her phone (no menus?) as she takes your order by hand and hands it to the cashier. We ordered the dinner portions which are larger with an extra side. We got: Chicken and Brisket , sides: green beans and mac and Chicken and Ribs, sides: green beans and mac. Disappointed in how the food taste. Chicken was dry. Brisket didn't taste smoked at all. Ribs was all fat. Green beans tasted it was from a can. This was the strangest Mac & Cheese ever. It had a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. The bbq sauce was pretty good though. They should definitely capitalize on the sauce. But, it was not the bbq I was looking for unfortunately. Price tag was steep $60 for 2 meals from a food court...hmmm.. As a big fan of their SuperQ sauce I was really excited to eat their food. It was not good. I got the chicken dinner with spicy sauce. The chicken was so over cooked it was almost like jerky. The entire skin came off as one piece and felt like a piece of plastic. The Mac-n-cheese was totally bland. It seemed like they take butter noodles, toss some shredded cheese in and put it under a heat lamp with no seasoning. All you could taste was the butter. It was also way over cooked. The cheese was also crunchy and not in a good way. Like a layer of plastic on top. Their green beans are from a can. Mushy and way too salty. The baked beans were pretty good though. So disappointed to have to give a negative review of this place. My husband adores the Everett & Jones BBQ sauce so we were so excited to hear that they'd opened a spot locally. This particular restaurant is part of the food court at the Graton casino. My husband and I both ordered the chicken dinner plate, he wanted spicy, I requested mild. He chose baked beans and mac & cheese for his sides (two sides come with the dinner plate), and I chose green beans and mac & cheese. We ordered at the counter; our total coming to about $55 for both plates and a soda for each of us. They handed us a buzzer which would alert us when our order was ready. We waited 10-15 minutes and our buzzer went off. My husband went up to the counter to retrieve our food. I was truly taken aback when he set our meals on the table. My first observation was the chicken; it was absolutely drowning in sauce (literally a massive puddle on the plate). The chicken was so overcooked and dry, it was like eating jerky. The green beans were very clearly from a can and were way over salted. The mac and cheese was basically macaroni noodles coated in butter with a bit of hardened, dried cheese on top. The price we paid for this unappetizing food was far too much. We'd heard such wonderful things about their other locations so this was a big bummer. Cons: Brisket tasted like they dehydrated it first because it was beyond tough, had zero moisture, and then dipped it in the sauce. Links, the casing on the meat was terrible, you had to chew it up and spit it out it was that bad. Unseasoned Potato Salad- adding raisins to it would have at least given it some flavor. If I'm suggesting raisins be added then that's definitely no way!! That's how bad it was. Pros: Staff was courteous There was no line at Everett and Jones which was a hint for me to "Do not Pass Go, Do not collect $200", instead go straight to jail because the food probably tastes better there. The line was long, but the service was good & we were happy to have such great BBQ. This past week we finally went back and it was the exact opposite. The meat was tough, overcooked, and cold. Several of the hot sides were cold. And the staff was not at all into being at work (they took forever to greet us (no line this time - big red flag) and looked liked they hated every moment of being at work.
