We ordered combo 1 and added Kobe beef more. Broth looks so yummy. I love Tomyam broth. It has some kick of sourness a bit then blend it in with the sweetness of all veggies we had. Our waitress was very nice and patient. They were a bit busy on Sunday evening but no waiting time for us. I saw one kid got her prize from the game booth. Good experience here. We will come back. I would love to give 5 stars but my son took 1 stars out due to the flies.

I really love coming here for lunch or dinner. It's one of my go to places in Rohnert Park. My favorite item to get is the Garlic Noodles with Lemongrass Chicken. Recently, I tried that and I also got the Shrimp Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoons. As usual the food was good and the servers checked in on us regularly. The Shrimp Spring Rolls were my highlight; they were light, fresh, and the peanut sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, instead of my usual 5 stars, I'll have to do 3 stars instead because the latest time I came here for dinner, I found a hair in my Garlic Noodles with Lemongrass Chicken. It was super unfortunate. I understand that these things happen but when we informed the staff they simple took the food away and didn't address it at all. There was no apology, or any form of additional service to acknowledge what had happened. I'll probably come back here at some point as this has not been my usual experience but I was definitely disappointed.

When your brother in-law invites you to the Claw Bar for dinner, you say "yes please" and wrangle up more friends for a deliciously good time. It's been a minute since I've been back here. They added a Hot Pot experience to their offerings. What a fun way to dine for ages 4 - 54. We started off with some oysters, Frog Legs + Fries and 1lb of shrimp. The highlight of the meal was the Miso + Beef Bone Broth and Tom Yum Hot Pot. Proteins: Sesame Beef, Brisket, Shrimp, Tofu an Quail Eggs. Veggies: Napa Cabbage, Mushrooms, Broccolini and Mung Bean Noodles. The true start of the show was that homemade Tom Yum broth. Packed with amazing aromatics and depths of flavor. It was truly a party for all your senses, it left a lingering sense of joy. They offer an extensive menu, surely something to please everyone in your group. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bonus: their music playlist has you grooving while you're noshing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Restaurant Week 2026 First off, thank you to Simmer Claw for offering the "Deal for 4." That made my decision easy! I've been before but only for the seafood boil. It's good, but it doesn't pull me in the way it does my hubby. That said... I have officially fallen in love with the HOT POT experience. Now I just need to find out if you can do both at the same table!?! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived Tuesday around 8pm and the place was pretty full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had an excellent DJ spinning all night, keeping the funky, fun vibes going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server treated us like longtime regulars or friends, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. My son-in-law and I kicked things off with sake bombs. Woot woot! I can't speak to the tasting notes, but it definitely did its job. :) The Restaurant Week menu is set and honestly felt like more than enough for the four of us so no need to order extras. Garlic noodles: We could've eaten an entire plate more. Sauce bar: Creativity is key, and I'm convinced there's no wrong combination. It was later in the evening, so a few containers were running low or empty, but everything I wanted was still available. Broths: I'm not a miso fan, but the others at the table loved it. Hands down, my favorite was the bone marrow broth. The flavor on its own was fantastic and only got better with my personal additions. I love watching four people create four completely different bowls using the same ingredients. Proteins: Pork belly, brisket, shrimp, and clams. We demolished all of it. Veggies: Fresh, clean, and beautifully presented. My favorite combo was enoki mushrooms with pork belly, dipped in a spicy sauce our server crafted for us. Oh so good. Noodles: The udon filled us up nicely. We took the egg noodles home and turned them into a cold noodle salad with extra sauce the next day. Win! Dessert didn't go as planned (they ran out), but it is what it is. Overall? LOVED it. Cannot wait to return.

I recently found out Simmer Claw Bar has hot pot! As you know, Sonoma County lacks hot pot spots. This is the first hot pot spot I have tried in the county and it did not disappoint! There are 2 Combos to choose from and we went with Combo #1, which helps direct you to choosing the broth (pick 2), the Meats & Seafood (pick 4), Vegetables & Mushroom (pick 2). You can order Combo #2 if you would like more food or have a larger party. For a party of 2, Combo #1 was the perfect size. Or, you can order a la carte as well. We went with the Curry & Miso soup base served half/half in a large square pot. We went with Skirt Steak and the brisket, instant noodle, udon, Enoki, Tofu and Napa Cabbage. They have a sauce bar where you can create your own dipping sauces (soy sauce, garlic, chili paste, sesame oil, lemon juice, cilantro, etc). Let me tell you, the quality of the food is excellent, fresh, beef was sliced and trimmed well, even the enoki mushroom ends were chopped clean. The broths are also delicious and hearty with free broth refills! The price is a bit higher than you would get at various hot pot places in the city but for the quality of the food, the attention to details on food presentation, clean sauce bar, it's worth it. I will definitely be back when I'm craving hot pot!

After Christmas perfect place to take the family for dinner. If you like sea food this is the place to go. Came here with the family to celebrate the MAN's birthday. Food was delicious:) I am not a fan of Sea food but Simmer did not disappoint. We had the shrimp in a bag with nice amount of shrimp, potatoes and corn with the Garlic Butter. We all ordered something different so we could share and take a little of everything and soooo delicious. Service was a little slow but was to be expected since it's right after Christmas other than that service was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is casual dress up or dress down everything goes and I loved the Christmas Decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend giving these sea food restaurant a try and I guarantee it will not disappoint your palate. Five stars for this restaurant:)

I've been living only maybe a 10 minute walk from this establishment for the past two years and I finally made it after all that time. Great place to watch sports and have drinks and good seafood. Since today's Monday, they offer $1 wings for a half dozen, great deal if you ask me. My favorite flavor was Cajun. The wings were fat with plenty of meat, better than our local wing spot here in Rohnert Park *Cough Cough*. For the main entree, we ordered the shrimp (Head off) seafood boil with a few add ons like, potatoes, sausage and corn for $8. We also ordered a side of garlic noodles. For drinks, I ordered a Mexican bomb which is about 1/4 of beer in a pint glass and it comes with a shot of tequila and tajin on the rim. I personally wish there was more beer but it was decent nonetheless. The wife ordered 'The Bayou Berry' and gave it a 2.5/5 stars. The total was approximately $84 for everything. Definitely excited to come back and try more items on the menu!

Happy hour wings... delicious. Garlic butter noodle were good but once I added some of the juice from our boil they were great! I would come back for the happy hour and the chicken wings again. They do have wonderful staff and service was great. Maybe it was just hyped up to me too much and didn't meet my expectations.

The staff were really nice! Seafood in general is expensive so the market price sounded right. I don't feel like there was a big upcharge for anything. The flavor was amazing! We had so much fun. I wish the combo came with double to potatoes as they're fairly cheap and it would make it feel like a lot more food. You need all the napkins you can possibly get. It's messy work but worth it. I made more potatoes and corn with my left overs and ate for 2 more meals!

This place is very cool. They do all kinds of great seafood and'll do it in sort of Cajun style. They have more than one kind. Of course, we always go with the Cajun style. My husband is from New Orleans, and we all love it, so we order a couple of big bags of seafood, bring them to the house, put the newspaper down on the table, and have an absolute feast. Everything was gone, and the seafood was seasoned beautifully. There is absolutely no way we're not coming back. Service is definitely efficient, quick, no fuss, no muss. Rustic very uniquely decorated, but the seafood is fire. Make no mistake. If you like seafood and especially Cajun, you will love this spot; it will be your new favorite. You will not be disappointed cheers, my friends as SYOY. August 28, 2025

    Beef short ribs

The food is always good. We got garlic noodles, beef short ribs, head on shrimp boil with simmer sauce. We've been going there for years and the taste of the food and their service has stayed consistently excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience has improved, they have added decor that give you "seaside vibes" even without being seaside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely recommended.

Our host was very friendly at first. Took the time to go over the happy hour menu. We ordered our food which was 2 boil bags and a side of rice and garlic noodles. We ordered our drinks as well. The food came out at a decent pace but our drinks and sides didn't. We had to flag down our host to remind him. The aroma of the bags smelled delicious and when I opened it immediately I was taken back. The sauce looked more jelly than butter. The flavor was kind of artificially sweet which I was not expecting to taste. The potato's were not cooked through. The garlic noodles were still a little undercooked and again lacking flavor of freshness. The host never came back to check on us. I had to ask someone else to please look for our host so we could pay and get out of there. After paying our host came by the table and said "oh my god I'm so sorry, was the food at least good for you?" I quickly replied "no" he said he could ask the manager to stop by the table and I said "it's ok I've already paid" I was disappointed in the food and the service.

What is the white wine on the happy hour menu?

My fiance is allergic to sea food but we would live to try the hot pot. Is there any seafood in the hot pot or would we be able to try it without any seafood?

There are plenty of items that are not seafood you can order for hotpot. Have fun!

    Dog friendly outdoor area?

Hi Eva! They do not have a patio/outdoor area.

    Is everything frozen?

Idk about frozen food- everything was premartinated with monosodium glutamate/MSG, sadly I'm highly allergic.?

So we need reservations for a bigger party?

They'll take reservations for parties of 6 or more

I know that a lot of people reading this review are looking for a comparison between the restaurants. Usually, others are split on this opinion when I mention it. So here's my why. The seafood menu selection is the same as most crab boil spots. I ordered the deveined/headless shrimp on my last visit. The spicy sauce was def spicy! Shrimp was cooked perfectly, not overcooked like I've had at other places. They give a generous portion of sauce, which is necessary to pour over some white rice! The appetizer selection at Cajun Crack'n is elite! The fried oysters are my favorite! I've also had the wings, fried mozzarella and Crawfish fried rice. All delicious choices! The garlic noodles were a hit. The food is like a perpetual motion machine. You get hungrier the more you eat. The Po' boy sandwich got a thumbs down from my son. He felt the large bread amount and it's dry texture overpowered the other sandwich ingredients. A large amount of water pooled on the floor in the back of the restaurant while we were dining necessitating what sounded like a shop vac to pick up the water. Too noisy but Accidents happen. There was an Open During Construction sign outside. Rebecca our server was pleasant and attentive. She is a keeper. The bus person cleaning the behind us toward the front door table was chewing on something. She paused her duties for a moment, staring off into space in my direction. Eating while on duty and not on break in front of customers is unprofessional. I tried to make eye contact with her out of curiosity if the chewing would stop when our eyes met. Alas my experiment failed. Something above my head and to the rear of the establishment was more interesting. Maybe some of that water pooling action was still happening. The Men's restroom stall is heavily grafittied. I wish I could think of advice for restaurant owners who suffer this scourge. Perhaps paint the stall inside a solid color and have a can of spray paint on hand? When you pay using the notepad computer the waitress carries, you need to sign on the screen before you hand over your credit card. That is odd. There should be a button on the "Tip screen" for those who want to "Cash Tip" They have a decent draft beer selection which I hope to enjoy on our next visit.

The bar area that one enters first had no patrons despite a table of dirty dishes remaining. When we announced we'd like to stay for lunch we were asked to wait while a table in the dining room was cleared. That's exactly what was cleared: one table in the dining room. There were two other tables of customers in the dining room and now a single clean table. Every other customer-free table in that room was stacked with dirty dishes left by previous customers. This wasn't just unappetizing. It was disgusting and we opted not to stay for lunch. I'm hoping this was some sort of aberrant situation as opposed to standard operating procedure.
