This is the best location in the Valley...the current owners did a beautiful job with a remodel. The deck is amazing... The downside? Well, I won't even start on the incredibly bad dinner I endured in the "fine" dining restaurant last year... Now, the food is greatly improved on the deck, the fries are delicious, the burgers are good...but the bees and gnats are scary! The service is inconsistent...But I keep coming back to sit on the deck and soak up the sun... If I could only get the owner to allow people to use the boat launch as it is the only viable launch for a good boat...he uses insurance as an excuse...people may drink and boat...BUT airplanes and helicopters cans land, eat, drink and fly...makes me wonder... read more

Decided to try a new place for our Anniversary dinner. Ordered the fish of the day. The fish came out like jerky, way over cooked, the rice was crunchy and burned like they scooped from the scorched bottom of the pan and the veggies were not done, crunchy. Never had a meal when EVERYTHING was BAD! $42 dish was garbage. Definitely will not be back, shame on us for trying something new! We will be having a do over Anniversary dinner somewhere else! Edit: I decided to change my review from two stars to one star since the execitive chef Tyler Howie was so upset with my review that he decided to message me and call me a child. While I may have come back strictly for the chowder, I will never ever return to Everett's or any restaurant associated with this pompous man. I will share my experience regarding the interaction with Chef Tyler Howie as frequently as I can. I had high hopes for this restaurant. The wait staff has been slow and inattentive both times I've visited and had bad attitudes. I first went for dinner and the last time I went for brunch. The cioppino was overly spicy. The crab cakes were full of filler and over priced. The only redeeming thing at Everett's is their seafood chowder. For brunch I had the prime rib sandwich. The sandwich was on a overly saturated bun that fell apart and the meat was full of fat. I took a few bites before deciding this was better suited to be dog food. At least they had the courtesy of taking the sandwich off my bill. I don't think we will be returning until they have an over haul of their chef and menu. read more

Visited 9/11/22 The hostess dropped one of the rolled silverware napkins on the way to our table. She never brought a new one. Ordered: Marsala Steak Tips Smoked Gouda Fries Seafood Pasta 8oz Sirloin The Marsala Steak Tips and Smoked Gouda Fries were flavorful and delicious. 8oz sirloin was ordered medium rare... it was delivered well done. Seafood pasta was a small amount of noodles with 2 shrimp (tail still on), 1 scallop, handful of clams, and a thin and short shell (4 inches) of king crab leg. There were no utensils delivered to split the crab piece. Sauce drenched the crab leg and shrimp tails so my hands were covered in sauce as well. read more

The view is lovely and the service was excellent. The food was not bad but at best unremarkable. We tried the fish and chips and the breading was a bit too crunchy but the house made chips were good. The scallops were nice size but lacked salt. We also tried the King Crab Mac & Cheese. It also seemed a bit dull on the palette and the crab was a tad too "crabby." The Bloody Mary's were spicy enough and the highlight of the meal were the goat cheese bacon wrapped dates. Long story short go enjoy the view. Shockingly terrible service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We watched two different groups be talked down to by the manager about bar seating. most places have open seating in the bar and apparently that is not the case here. He proceeded the poorly explain how if the restaurant is backed up so is the bar? It didn't really make sense to me and even if this was the case I'm sure there are better ways of explaining that to customers. We had reservations for the deck and our server was severely over worked and was trying to manage all of the outdoor and (I think) indoor tables as well. She would come back numerous times asking what we ordered again, what the drink we ordered again and when food would be ran out to the tables they asked every single person if they ordered it so they had no clue which tables were ordering what. People all around us were inquiring about their drink orders and food orders and were met with combative responses that made for a really awkward and unpleasant experience. I have never had the best service here and you can almost always expect a mediocre experience but this time was notably very bad. When waiting almost an hour to get our bill to pay so we could leave our server finally showed back up and took our bill and immediately resurfaced and started taking orders on a table of 12+ people. We tried to track down our check and practically begged the manager and front desk staff to run our cards and were told they needed a special code from the server. This fiasco went on for over 15 minutes. After reviewing our tab and noticing that the one drink i ordered, a mojito, that tasted like straight sweet n sour, was $16! Unbelievably overpriced. The mojito was more expensive than our appetizer and it was absolutely terrible. The incredibly high prices just don't match the service or the quality of the establishment. Such a shame for a location that has so much potential to be great. read more

I have eaten at both the fine dining and bistro area's of Everetts over the the years and have always had wonderful food and great service up until this last visit... this last Tuesday we had a reservation at the fine dining section and I have to say both the service and the food were terrible. We had to ask for our lemon 4 times and send back our food for being over cooked after waiting a very long time to get it. Our server may have been busy but that is no excuss for not even stopping by our table to at least check in and to give us updates on the food. The table next to us was there when we got there and didnt get their food untill we were done eating! Because it was a celebration for our family (25yr anniversary) we had asked for a special dessert to be brought out to celebrate but never got it. Ventured out of Anchorage to visit Everette's Restaurant... should've just gone to Sullivan's or Haute Quarter Grill. We had a bit of wait, but was seated after 40 minutes. Our server Robin came to our table after 10 minutes and at that point, for the sake of being efficient, had our orders picked out for ordering. Gave our order to Robin and she brought us water. Took Robin another 35 minutes before she checked to see if we've gotten any of our appetizers yet.. told her no at which time she'd inform the manager and try to locate our order... another 10 minutes later, the manager came out apologizing for the issue however took them another 25 minutes before we were served our dinner, sans appetizers.. there were 5 of us in our party, including my 6 year old son... (he was very patient) we literally watched tables all around us seated after us and was served promptly. My son kept asking why our food was taking so long while others were getting their food after they just sat down.. overall, the food was not bad, typical steak house food, what we did not find was the customer service that helps me decide where I go to enjoy the weekend.. a place I can invite my friends from out of town.. the experience of having good food and great service.. all those ingredients were missing from this restaurant, which I may not visit again. read more

The service was the best in all 50 states. Hands down. We took ten kids, some of them with significant others, along with a few in-laws. The server was on point the whole time. Who knew we could enjoy a meal as adults with do many children at the table. The food was great, the atmosphere inviting and calm and fun. An absolutely perfect night. Now at this point I'm pretty hungry and willing to settle for the nearest McDonalds, but I decided to settle with the first option. We gradually approach this large building hugging the coast of this gorgeous lake. Once inside we are immediately greeted by a hostess with the most'ess. Once being seated and taking in the entirety of what is Everett's. I find myself in a situation where brunch is genre of the hour. As a fan of the burrito (in all forms) I order a breakfast variant. I was immediately pleased. Not only is was my appetite neutralized, it was also craving that same taste days after. Dined here tonight for the first time and they had a limited Valentine's menu. For the valley, this is a beautiful location, and I'll preface my review by saying I'll definitely be back to try the regular menu for sure. The limited menu was very limited. One salad option, one appetizer option, three entree's, and one desert. That's it. The salad wasn't bad, but wasn't impressive, the scallop appetizer was good, and the entree (I ordered the prime rib "rare to medium rare at most. If they don't have that available let me know") came out way over cooked (grey, grainy, and covered in a weird orange sauce). I never complain and send food back but this time asked for a replacement. My replacement came out exactly the same, so I took a few bites and boxed the rest up for my pup. There was also a desert and champagne that came with the meal. My husband said the desert was good. Overall, for a $300 meal it was underwhelming. This restaurant has potential and I'm looking forward to trying it a second time with a full menu. The staff were young, a little slow, but nice and they tried. They also had live violin music playing, which was a nice touch. I think we just came on an off night for the kitchen (I hope!). read more

This is talked about as one of the "nice" restaurants of Wasilla, and that may have been true a few years ago. Now, it would barely outcompete a greasy-spoon diner. Food is obviously not fresh, but pulled out of the freezer, and preparation is severely lacking. Overcooked eggs, frozen french fries, putting guacamole on an eggs Benedict because they didn't have avocado, etc. Seriously disappointing especially at the prices they're asking. I had the worst dining experience of my life at this restaurant. Set up my reservation 2 days in advance. When my wife and I arrived we were asked if we didn't mind sitting in the bar area because the main dining area was full. I reluctantly agreed, as to not start my wifes birthday dinner by making a scene. I ordered the filet mingon, medium rare, which showed up bleeding and cold. I had to wait over 20 minutes before the server made there way back to our table to check on the meal. I showed them my steak and asked them to make me a new one, the server took my plate, and came back 4-7 minutes later with the same piece of steak, just cooked a second time. I took my little Goddaughter here for her birthday, was looking for a "fancy" place to make her feel very special. Well, the setting is gorgeous and the views are the best in the valley hands down. The ambiance is lovely and romantic. The service was ok, they didn't have a table ready even though we had reservations (a comment I've seen here before). The wine was great, appetizer dates were really good. The burger I had was pretty good too! I don't like potato wedges personally but that's a personal preference. I will say their ribeye (which we didn't get) was $60. Now, unless that's the beat ribeye this side of the Rockies, I would NEVER pay that. Just food for thought. This resort has been through many owners over time, and is about the only place that has a nice big deck on the lake, so great location for summer. Now that the new owners have taken over the food is really good, and consistent as well. Service is always great. I have not gone to any sit down restaurants since Covid19 hit, and for the first time I wanted to go celebrate a friends birthday. We called ahead and they said they were serving on the deck. Great. Once we arrived we were shocked the the two hostesses did not have masks on, then our servers didn't have a mask... NONE of the staff were masked! Won't be going back there anytime soon. I am 71 and have a heart condition and just can't take the chance. I feel it's disrespectful to not care that much about your guests. read more

Just had our company Christmas party here and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We had smoked salmon spread and shrimp appetizers and they were both tasty. The main entree food was served buffet style and was delicious! A hard thing to manage with the wonderful halibut dish we enjoyed I'm sure. I didn't try the deserts but they looked incredible. The best thing about the night was the service. We had two wait staff that handled our large group with ease. We are a rambunctious bunch when we get together so I was impressed with their friendly professionalism and quick service with our drinks. Highly recommend. read more

We went in for our anniversary dinner tonight and had reservations. We waited 30min to get water, 30 min to gat a waitress and then were told it would take an hour to hour and half to get dinner! They were slammed because of a big event at the place and just couldn't handle the load. The 1 star is for the ambiance: it's hard to screw up a waterfront view. The food was truly awful: The calamari and all the fried dishes used a strong salty caked on batter usually reserved for prison cafeterias. The scallop appetizer was inspired by someone's kitchen garbage bag: lukewarm slaw on top of a dried out inedible scallop, wrapped in a stale-deep fried piece of bacon, sitting atop some sticky sweet Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, surrounded by a pile of over salted mushrooms and a moat of salty spicy and yet still somewhat bland heavy cream sauce. The clams were cooked in what tasted like dishwater with a splash of garlic. The mojito tasted like watered down powdered lemonade, with not even a hint of rum. We bailed after appetizers. The service was comically slow, even with reservations, ample wait staff on duty, and a virtually empty dining room. Two appetizers and two drinks for $70. Avoid at all costs. read more
