After crossing the one year mark of attending Everfit classes, it feels like a good time to write a review. This one is for people looking for a little more insight other than the commonly praised music, community, and coach (all which I agree with of course!). Some context, I was a regular to Crunch classes and was looking for a place with heavier lifting and more of a challenge. All of my workouts are morning ones, either the 5:30 or 6:30. The evening ones and teachers I'm less familiar with but everyone is great. That said, I do think these workouts are best for those with some exercise experience under their belts. We do various exercises which helps keep things interesting, but there's a lot of basics (deadlift, chest press, squats etc) that would be helpful to know prior to coming. You can still be a beginner though and even someone completely new to everything will be welcomed with open arms. Also, get the app and be sure to book classes through there. The workouts are fast paced, and the very first few might feel like you've walked into a tornado. The coaches start with a warmup and then will give you a rundown of all the workouts before starting. It's a real test of memory , but if you forget, others and the coaches will always help. We count on each other for that. Each day is a different workout with a unique purpose, but they generally are medium-high intensity and HIIT (high intensity interval training) or AMRAP (as many reps as possible) style. I'll go over them, but keep in mind these are the 5:30/6:30am classes. The late morning and pm classes are probably the same but I can't really speak for them. MONDAY - Upper and Lower - this is a time to get a full body strength session in, and is my favorite day. No cardio, just the opportunity to go a little heavier. The coach is currently Ciera and she's amazing. So fun, knowledgeable and kind. TUESDAY - SWEAT - cardio lovers, this is one for you. It's the most despised one for me and many others , but the highest calorie burner and a key day to work on agility and those fast twitch muscles. WEDNESDAY - Booty Blast - don't let the catchy name deceive you , this will have your whole lower body burning. It's a day when we go heavy on legs. Usually done in an AMRAP style, this one is a good one to find a group with similar experience and weights. THURSDAY - Cardio, Core Chest, and Triceps - this is a good one if you want a little taste of the cardio work, but also get a solid chest and tri workout. FRIDAY - Back, Biceps, Shoulders, Core - another welcome strength day that feels like a nice relief from the higher intensity work. You will still sweat, don't worry. SATURDAY - AMRAP - it's a full body strength and cardio session. Again, the AMRAP style is most optimal if you look for a group in a similar strength and fitness since you will all be using the same weights and moving through them quickly. Expect all classes to start with a 5 min warmup, and then end with everyone sharing responsibilities of spraying down the equipment and sometimes putting it away. Chris, the head coach is really great. He's very kind, easy to work with, and really knows his stuff. I am constantly impressed with how well balanced the workouts are, and how he manages to keep it interesting and fun! The gym is also very clean, and there's ample parking. I haven't done a dexa scan in a while, but in the first 6 months I lost 5.6% body fat and gained 2lbs of muscle. I'm only ~110 lbs for reference. Overall, I recommend Everfit if you're looking for a spot that is consistent yet interesting and fun. The community IS great, and even though there's not a lot of time to chat, Chris hosts social events and I know a lot of people that have found very solid friendships through the classes. I've tried a lot of gyms over the years, and Everfit is the one I keep coming back to and actually look forward to going to. The community is what makes it so special. Everyone is genuinely kind, supportive, and welcoming, and I love the family environment and of course Kobe. Chris does such a great job pushing everyone, and the workouts are simple but incredibly effective. I burn more calories here than in pretty much any other class I take, and the music is always great, which makes such a difference. Monday's upper and lower body split is my favorite. If you're new, don't feel intimidated. I didn't even know the basics when I started, but Chris was always extra helpful and patient with me, and I eventually was able to get to a great place. Everyone is always willing to help or show you what to do. It truly feels like a community, and I can't recommend Everfit enough. read more

Tried Everfit Motion for the first time through ClassPass with a friend--and I'll definitely be back. We took the Booty Blast class and loved it. Chris, the trainer, was awesome--super personable, funny, and really attentive. He pushed us in the best way but also listened when we flagged our very real limitations. I moved to Walnut Creek a few months ago -- trying out different gyms -- came across Everfit and since then I incorporated the classes as part of my routine. Chris (the owner) knows what he's doing and every class is intentional. Solid split workouts through the week. He's also an athlete so for me personally I'm a fan of learning and following a training routine from someone who's been there, done that, and still doing it! Absolutely love this place! I've always been an active person, but once I started law school there was nothing that could get me repeatedly going back to the gym... until I found Everfit. I started coming last September and have become addicted to it. The music is great, the people are better, and the workouts are tough but keep you coming back for more. I've never been an early workout girl, but now when my alarm goes off at 5am for class I practically jump out of bed. I've also noticed a drastic change in my body just within a few months, and I only go three days a week. I haven't seen muscle definition on myself like this since I was in high school. Chris really takes time to help you with your form and pushes you to work harder and stronger. But this place is more than a gym. Chris has done an amazing job creating a community where he goes out of his way to give back. It makes you feel good physically, but also mentally as being a part of something greater. I go to Bay Club for my regular gym but I needed more push because I discovered that after having a trainer for years, I get bored when I workout alone. My neighbor who is super buff, amazing lady works out here and for a long time I had been saying I'd workout with her so I could be as cool as her. Originally I was reaching out to Chris for a one on one training, but after taking a couple group classes, I realized that I really enjoyed working out with this group. I never enjoyed at group classes gyms normally offer. Everyone is so nice and pushes and encourages each other with no judgement. Such a different vibe than group classes I've attended. Also, the music.. omg, they brought me back to the time when music was actually good lol.. okay I am not that old but I really hate music a lot of gyms play. I've taken a few classes now. I am on my first month trial and I am contemplating canceling my regular gym membership since I have barely stepped foot there since I started going to Everfit. Chris is great and so is Zoe. Chris is awesome. He is so attentive to my medical needs and that's what I was looking for. I recently had a surgery and he accommodates me 100% I can tell his passion to help others. As someone who has struggled with fitness, Everfit has changed my life in the best possible way by helping me create healthy habits and fall in love with working out. The community is unlike any other gym I've ever been apart of and has helped me with holding myself accountable to show up consistently. I've been to 30+ HIIT-style gyms around the Bay Area, including Barry's, Orangetheory, and Rumble, and I can confidently say the HIIT classes here are top tier. It's a circuit style training with a good mix of cardio and strength. Every time I drop in, there's a whole buffet of exercises I've never done before and end up kicking my a$$ far more than any chain HIIT gym. I walk away with new ways to work out even when I'm doing a solo gym session. Kudos to Chris for keeping things fresh and fun! If my schedule wasn't so up in the air all the time, I'd definitely join this gym as a permanent member. Give Everfit a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have been at Everfit Motion for around 5 months now. I started at this gym because I needed an environment that would hold me accountable towards my health and fitness goals. I appreciate the extra push from Chris and Zoe, especially when they notice a slight decline of motivation. Accountability is key!! In a short amount of time, I've noticed a huge increase in strength. The classes are addicting and you'll want to challenge yourself to attend more classes to see maximum results. Everyone truly supports each other in these classes. My favorite workout day is Wednesday, since the Booty Blaster class truly kicks your butt! I highly recommend giving this place a try. I think that you'll be amazed at how quickly you'll see results. PS: The key to a great workout is having a dog to provide the extra love and support you need. I gave it 5 stars because the workout was everything I needed. The time was convenient because I can get my workout done early, and get on with my day. The music helped keep me going, and I like that it there was enough equipment and space for everyone. I used my OTF heart rate monitor, and I got more splat points than I usually get with an OTF floor workout (before cardio)... so very satisfied. If I'm in the area again, I will be back! read more

Everfit is the perfect fitness studio. Blending a great atmosphere and one heck of a work out. I've always loved working out, but when my fiancé and I started working out together we we struggled to find something we both liked. She tried the big box gyms, I tried the cycling studios and we just couldn't compromise on something until we found.... EVERFIT! The group classes was perfect for us it was a great work out (I've burned over 800 calories in one work out!) as well as a safe place, were not only the instructors are encouraging but the people too! What an awesome place for a workout! First, the gym is what it is because of Chris. As a trainer, he takes a lot of time to get to know the people who work out in his gym. He always remembers the last conversation and asks about specific things going on in your life. As a starting point, it makes the gym a very welcoming place. BUT that's not all...he legitimately provides work outs that will seriously kick your butt and consistently challenge you. I am always sore (in a good way!) after working out here. Moreover, the people who are in the classes are also some of the most supportive folks. There isn't a weird judgmental mentality. Great group / friendly - very good / hard workouts. Clear direction / guidance. Great hours and classes at all times of day. Clean facility. Awesome pup that greets you every morning and gives you kisses! Pretty perfect! :). I've done a few different boot camps/group classes - I always find there's some element that is overused that makes me not want to keep going (ex: sprinting on a treadmill for 30 min isn't something I want to do every class/every day). I love group training and I love hard workouts and variety and I love deadlifts - they do deadlifts here! I'm definitely a boot camp type of person and would flip tires and carry logs so I like intense workouts but not to the point that it breaks me. I started taking classes at Everfit 2 months ago and have made HUGE improvements in such a small amount of time. I started training lower body with Chris and couldn't do a lot of movements or use heavy weight because of an ongoing back issue. Chris modified programs that helped my mobility and increase my strength so I wouldn't worsen my strain. Now my back is totally healed, I'm using more weight than I EVER have, and I've made over 2 inches in gains just in the past 8 weeks. I started personal training with Vicki back in Feb. She is an amazing trainer!!! I love how she pushes me outside my comfort level. And she creates specific workouts which challenge me but are also fun. During SIP, I found the Zoom Bootcamps. Dynamic Duo, Chris and Vicki are fabulous!! They have made working out from home FUN. Everfit has been my saving grace during the pandemic. I attended a free Thanksgiving class mid-pandemic and came to the realization that I couldn't do a single push-up; I decided then it was time to get my butt back to the gym and stop making pandemic excuses. Chris' exclusive online classes early on in the pandemic helped get me and my husband back in gear and we were so excited to meet the EverFit Community in person when things opened up. Everfit has helped my body prepare for pregnancy, and once I was pregnant Chris was able to modify workouts for me so I didn't hurt myself or baby. The prenatal workouts have helped my body bounce back postpartum faster than I could have imagined otherwise.
