5 things that make this gym stand out to me compared to others: 1. Really attentive coaches - as someone new to weights, it was important for me to feel safe. There is clear instruction in each class and then the coaches are constantly looking out for our form and correcting us. 2. Class times galore - 8 weekday classes from 6am to 7:30pm, knowing any level can go to any class, plus weekend mornings. So many options! 3. Something new every month - from a clinic to a social hangout to an unusually insane workout, there is always something to spice up the month 4. Being treated as an individual - I don't know how Nabil and most the coaches remember everyone's name. It helps a lot to be individually encouraged and asked and advised on our personal goals 5. Connection - Nabil sends weekly emails that are thoughtfully put together and pretty amusing. It's nice to get the big picture that feels like a personal email, not a corporate mailer. This is consistent with the general vibe that made me feel immediately welcome and like I had joined a community with the common goal to live healthier and have fun, far beyond getting fit at a gym. I went to this gym for a couple of months last year. Due to scheduling conflicts, I had to change gyms but other than that, it was a pretty solid gym to go to. The two coaches that stood out to me were Bri and Kaydee as they were super encouraging and willing to meet me where I was at since I am super new to CrossFit. Nina, one of the people went there, always made me feel welcome when I went. I had my good days there where I felt a sense of community and other days where I did not feel that at all where I felt excluded. But maybe it was just me. Parking is a little tricky your first time there but other than that it's pretty straight forward. Honestly one of the best decisions I could have made. Post-pandemic, I was looking for a place to workout in a positive community. Two years later, these people are some of my closest friends. I am a working mom with limited time for self-care so I choose very carefully where, what and with whom I am willing to spend that limited time. CrossFit Sweatshop is absolutely worth my time and gives me so many physical and mental benefits. It is a warm, supportive and positively competitive environment. There is a workout for any level of fitness. It never gets easier because you just get better and want to push yourself to see what your mind and body can do. The gym has a good variety of training equipment and space needed for CrossFit workouts. This place saved me from a way too early heart attack. I was in what I thought was no shape to workout but new I had to do something. I am not self motivated enough to simply go to a gym, I knew I needed some type of class. A friend recommended SweatShop so I figured the worst that would happen is I'd hate it and just never go back, I loved it. I lost first 4 pant sizes in my first year and not long after doing almost no physical activity for YEARS, I ran a mile, then a faster one, then I did a pull up. I trust the coaches completely which is vital. At SweatShop you are more likely to have a coach recommend taking weight off until you do something correctly than you are to hear someone recommend more weight. Safety is a priority here. I joined CrossFit Sweat Shop in 2019 and it was has been the best decision for me and my husband. We have made so many life long friends who love us and our family which keeps us coming back. I cannot recommend CrossFit Sweat Shop enough. After spending years focusing only on cardio (mainly running), I found myself becoming bored of my workouts and lacking motivation. Around the same time, my husband (a former college football player) was looking for a new workout routine and wanted to try out CrossFit. I was highly skeptical at first -- I'd heard it was a cult-like form of fitness, I didn't want to become bulky, and I had never lifted a weight in my life. I thought it would be great for him, but definitely not for me. Then, I tried out a one-on-one session with Helen and I was hooked! In these sessions, Helen patiently taught me everything (and I mean everything--especially about lifting weights--I knew nothing walking in!) while also incorporating mini-workouts to give me a taste of what classes to come would be like. The best part was that when I would make a silly mistake, we could just laugh it off together! While I had worried so much about being intimidated before joining, I never actually felt embarrassed once I was in the Sweat Shop. Once I started the classes, I realized that it isn't only Helen who is a great coach, but all of the coaches at the Sweat Shop! Every coach is highly knowledgable, extremely patient, and focused on good form. They are also all focused on safety -- near the beginning, I tweaked my lower back and every coach checked in on me, provided modifications for exercises, and suggested stretches to do at home. If attentive and caring coaches is what you're after, this is the place. My husband and I have now been members of the gym for a little over one year. All of the other members have been super friendly and welcoming, and we're both thrilled with the progress we've made so far! read more

Several months ago I did drop in classes at this gym. I loved the structure of the workout and James was an awesome coach, very attentive to everyone so I bragged about this gym to friends and family in the area. With this great experience, I reached out at the beginning of January 2021 asking if they still offered the 2 week unlimited package. Nabil (the owner) responded saying they no longer offer that package so I asked if there were any other affordable options as I want to support local businesses during this difficult time. Nabil responded saying "Asking for a discount from a gym or restaurant during the current climate of things displays either a complete lack of understanding, or a self-centered attitude." Let me be clear I did not ask for a discount, I asked if there were any other affordable options as Crossfit gyms everywhere have been very creative in finding ways to bring in clients while still being profitable. I was in shock at how UNPROFESSIONAL Nabil's response was and extremely disappointed that he would attack someone trying to find a way to support his business. I wish this business the best however they have lost a customer for good from this experience. I hope Nabil is more respectful to future prospects as he has no idea how these shut downs have impacted everyone. read more

I joined Crossfit Sweat Shop a little over a year ago and it has been one of the best decisions ever made! My husband joined the gym about 1/2 a year prior to me and kept encouraging me to start. I was hesitant at first because lifting weights felt intimidating and I had never done it before. I did a few sessions with Bri (who is amazing!) to learn the basics and from there, there was no turning back. I started off never having used a barbell and now feel very comfortable doing all the exercises. Strength and resistance training and cardio are all vital for our health and this gym offers it all! I never thought I'd be my fittest in my 30s and I'm only going to get stronger! All of the coaches are amazing and well trained/experienced and everyone is so nice, encouraging, and welcoming. They will help you modify exercises if needed (based on your strengths/weaknesses). I truly feel at home here! I'm always excited to go for a workout and always leave with a sense of accomplishment. I am faster, stronger and more flexible than ever. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness.
