Once we connected, we were upfront about our budget, but she repeatedly steered us toward higher priced options and was not transparent about individual product costs. She encouraged us to apply for store credit through Wells Fargo, and I was approved for significantly more than the cost of the flooring we were considering (probably a red flag warning that they will attempt to take you for more than you want to spend). Later that week, she came to our home for a site assessment. While friendly during the visit, she remained vague about installation costs. As she left, she promised to email a detailed quote within a day or two. After a full week with no word, I had to follow up. She responded several hours later with an estimate. The product pricing stayed within what we discussed, but the labor portion was estimated, but listed as "variable," with no fixed amount or not-to-exceed" number. Additionally, she couldn't even guarantee the final cost or confirm they could complete the job. As a contractor myself (in IT), I'm accustomed to providing customers with clear, capped pricing and a promise we will complete the work before they commit, especially on installation work. Its not as if I was hiding anything from her. She had full access to the home for her assessment. If she lacked expertise to properly evaluate the job, they should have sent a more qualified person. This lack of clarity made it impossible to move forward with confidence. After sending the quote, she never followed up and I haven't spoken to her since. Overall, Francine came across as inattentive, inexperienced and unreliable. We ended up purchasing our flooring elsewhere, and based on this experience, I would recommend doing the same.

Brad worked with us to pick the finish and did an amazing job. The floor is beautiful and the patched areas match so perfectly there's no way to tell it's been patched. Brad suggested we extend the refinishing to the kitchen area but we were planning to replace the hardwood there with tile. We should have listened to Brad. We loved how the floors turned out so much that we called him back to do the kitchen. Mike and his crew did all of the following for us: 1. Repaired all damaged areas of the exterior on both the garage and the house. 2. Replaced all external door hardware and two external doors. 3. Painted both structures. 4. installed a french drainage system 5. Replaced a retaining wall and designed a new pergola entrance. His crew also helped with clearing out years of collected debris under the structures and on the property. Throughout the process Mike was in constant communication with us. We had someone come out with carpet samples and to measure for a quote…read more -The quote provided indicated that the square footage was much higher than the other two companies we ended up getting quotes from and since the charge is per square foot it added a ton to the total. -I noticed that the quote included the cost to take out carpet in all rooms but there were two rooms that had no carpet to be taken out. -We asked for help picking a carpet to install and it turns out the one recommended does not meet any of our needs and would have been a big problem. -Then he said the carpet would be ordered and could be installed the next week since we were in a rush. 5 days later he hadn't ordered the carpet and we started shopping other companies. -The quote said that if we are talking to any companies let them know since they would beat or match reasonable competitive quotes but once I mentioned we were shopping around the guy stopped responding and I'm glad he did so we didn't get stuck overpaying for a carpet that isn't right for us
