I tried out Evergreen Tailors based on reviews. I needed two wedding guest dresses hemmed and had an upcoming event. Sunae greeted me - I tried the dresses on with my heels in the changing room and she pinned them up. I came back about 2 weeks later [this was during the holiday season and we spoke about when I needed the dresses, when I would be able to pick them up, etc. ] and she asked me to try them on again to see if they were to my liking length wise showing the quality and pride she takes in her work. Had three sportcoats I bought on Amazon, needed the sleeves shortened on each. The Lady tailor, (very nice), measured and had the three jackets ready in a week for a very reasonable price. She did a measurement in store, pinned everything up so I could see and feel the changes before they were done, and the turnaround time was excellent. Highly recommended. I took a zip up hoodie to her to replace the zipper, but after she looked at it she said it was only the slider and not the zipper itself so she actually saved me money. Not only was it done within a couple of hours but throughout the whole interaction, she was pleasant even though she was In the middle of having another customer, try on clothes for a fit. I brought my winter coat in because the zipper was stuck and I had tried everything to fix it. I expected to need the whole thing replaced. Sunae took a look, recognized the slider was what was causing the trouble and offered to either just replace the slider (cheapest option) or the whole zipper (very affordable but more money than the slider option). I opted for the first option and she fixed it in minutes while I waited. I can tell Sunae really knows what she is doing and she is doing and she was so friendly and kind. Convenient tailor located on Broadway in Schenectady. The ladies are very nice and make you feel comfortable. Pricing seems fair. I had an bridesmaid dress with chiffon shorten the straps adjusted and bra cups added and the result was a prefect fit. $125 for the dress alterations. read more
