I brought in a window valence that needed to be cut and hemmed. It was a simple job that would…read moretake an hour or less. Theresa said it would be ready in five days or less and that she would call me when it was done. I didn't get a call and three weeks later stopped in to pick up the valance thinking somehow I missed her call. The valance wasn't ready, but I could see it on her table that she was working on it. Theresa said it would be ready soon and that she would call me. She never did. I called her again after another three weeks, and it still was not ready. She told me to come in in another two days. After a total of 45 days I was finally able to pick up my valence. By then I learned that she had overcharged me for this simple job. I had paid her $50. When I picked up the valence, I asked for a partial refund, either by credit or cash, for both waiting so long and told her that I knew she had overcharged me. She would not do it but said she would give me a discount the next time I come in. Of course, there won't be a next time because I am not going back. Two years ago I brought in a dress for a fitting that I was wearing to a formal occasion. When I picked it up, the zipper did not lay flat and was bunched up. She said nothing could be done about that. This woman's lack of customer caring, satisfaction and service is extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend her, but if you do go, make sure you know what you're getting into.

I rarely write negative reviews but I relied on the position reviews of Mo to try her tailoring…read moreservices and I am very disappointed. I had her alter a pants suit, among other items, that needed to be taken in quite a bit. She did ok on the pants (though I had asked her to try to fix a bit of bagginess in the seat and they are still a bit baggy there). But her work on the suit jacket is atrocious. There are three seams down the back and she apparently only took in one and so now the two sides of the jacket flare out like some weird peplum instead of laying flat. And I had her take in the waist of a pair of pants and she didn't tell me that they would be too wide in the leg without taking in the legs as well so they are also not wearable. And to boot, the pressing by the dry cleaning I used through her was disappointing as well. And I had already had her fix something else on the jacket that was unsuitable after the initial tailoring but now I do not trust her to fix the jacket and will be taking it elsewhere. I think the earlier proprietor was named Anna, but the current proprietor is Mo.

I came back about 2 weeks later [this was during the holiday season and we spoke about when I needed the dresses, when I would be able to pick them up, etc. ] and she asked me to try them on again to see if they were to my liking length wise showing the quality and pride she takes in her work. She charged $60 per dress but it was well worth it. I wore the dress to my cousin's wedding in January and got so many compliments and it wasn't dragging on the floor!

They're conveniently located just off exit 2 on i-87, with plenty of parking, and very convenient hours. The communication was excellent, as was their knowledge of styles and clothing. I followed their advice on the alterations, and the clothing fit perfectly for the event. Pricing was, while not the cheapest, very fair for the quality of work. I have had this done before; I have even done it myself (not rocket science...). I own other shirts from this maker, in this size, and I know what needs to be done and about how much time it takes to do the job. First, I got an argument about how much to shorten the sleeves. That settled (I was wearing the same model shirt, with shortened sleeves, and it was easy to take a measurement...), I then was told, come back in a week. Not. First, someone needed a rush alteration on a wedding gown. Then there was this, then there was that. Several weeks later, two shirts were done -- but to the wrong length. One had been started -- I took it back and will finish the job myself. I ended up paying for the two that were done wrong, just to get out of there. I like the woman; she is a nice person, we share common interests, and I would be happy to have her as a neighbor. As a tailor, however, I cannot recommend her services.
