I chose this moving service because I wanted the cheapest option possible as I was only moving down the street and wanted to avoid any crazy truck fees. I liked that their quote was straightforward and there were no hidden costs. This included moving blankets, hand trucks, plastic wrap, a wardrobe box, etc. They also laid down a carpet to keep my new carpet clean which I appreciated. They loaded the truck from my upstairs studio/jr one bedroom, and unloaded in my new place in about 2.5 hours, and I really have a ton of stuff lol. Only cons were the 2 workers smelled strongly of cigarettes (if you care) and one item broke during the move. However that was entirely because I didn't pack it properly. Amazingly efficient!! Highly recommend!! I needed help moving only about 15 minutes away from my previous address. I needed to move my unbelievably large, heavy sofa (along with all the rest of the stuff in my 1b1b) from the second story of my apartment to my new third-story walk-up. The person I spoke with on the phone when scheduling the move was extremely helpful, friendly, and transparent about the moving costs. I also received a text immediately after scheduling that detailed what to expect. Then I got sick and needed to reschedule the day before. They were very accommodating! The rates are very reasonably, with an hourly rate for the workers and a flat rate for the truck. I would have thought that moving would be too expensive, but it was shockingly affordable, and there were no hidden fees or anything. The quoted price breakdown I received on the phone was 100% accurate. The three movers were incredibly efficient about moving all my stuff, even my ridiculously heavy sofa. They were able to get absolutely everything up to the third floor unscathed--without an elevator!! Best part? It only took them 2 hours and 40 minutes total, and they rounded down to 2.5 hours when it came time to pay. I am still in awe of the superhuman speed and strength they demonstrated moving up all those stairs with no breaks at all! If you're looking for Bay Area movers, I can't recommend Everlasting enough! Once they arrived, they were fast and generally efficient. I would use them again. The 2 reasons they don't get full 5 stars is 1. They arrived 30 mins later than then allowed 2-hour slot with no pro-active communication, and 2. They damaged my dresser a bit while sliding inside the truck. The movers were scheduled to come between 2-4 pm, but did not show up until after 4:30 pm. They seemed exhausted from their prior move(s) and were not efficient. They were also not super friendly or communicative. They actually left behind multiple items. They straight up told my husband that their truck doesn't fit (we were moving out of a small 2 bed/1 bath so how it that possible) and that it was GETTING LATE. The move should have taken less time. All things were in boxes and we only needed the furniture and boxes to be moved into the garage of the new house. There was no reassembly or furniture placement required, and nothing needed to be unpacked or brought into the house. The movers only accepted cash. After the move, the three movers stood around and demanded a specific dollar amount of tips. A little distasteful in my opinion. Bad experience all around. read more

They were very communicative from day 1. I had asked them to move the day a couple of times, they were very adjusting. On the day of the move, they had arrived 15 mins early. It was pouring heavy, but that didn't slow them down. They were very quick and efficient. Although most of the stuff were already packed in the boxes by us, they took care of wrapping the items properly that were lying around, like sofa, mattress. We had a lot of items for a one bed apartment, and was moving from San Jose to Morgan hill. The entire move was done in 3.5 hours which was pretty fast. In the new home, they made sure to use the red carpet and then cleaned up too before they left. All in all, I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend. I made my decision based on price and availability and other Yelp reviews. When they arrived, the movers were incredibly quick and efficient, stacking and moving boxes and tubs, and they plastic wrapped the few smaller and more fragile boxes together for me. They have a minimum of two hours, with a two hour arrival window, and only accept cash as payment. My bf and I used this company to move from Sunnyvale to Willow Glen. I researched with other moving company's and compared reviews/rating prior to book, and decided with Everlasting Moving. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment on the third floor to a 3 bed 1 bath home ground floor only. They arrived on time at 8:30AM on Saturday 01/18. James took the lead on the group of movers. He spoke English while the other movers spoke Mandarin only. Before the move began, I did a walk through with James so he could familiarize the others in the pathway and all the items that needed too be loaded into the truck. It took 2 hours to load up the truck, 30 mins travel time, and 1 hour to unload. They placed all the furniture where we wanted and placed a majority's the boxes in their labeled areas. We were charged for 3.5 hours for $120/hour = $420. We tipped $120 ($10/person/hour). We went with 3 movers to make this whole thing quick but we ended up with 4 people because James helped as well (we were still only charged for 3 movers). No charge for mileage. Total came out to $540 but we gave $600 because we were so impressed with their swiftness. Some helpful things to do as a customer: Break down bed frames and tables prior to the appointment. (They have Saran Wrap to keep all the pieces together.) Have everything already boxed up. Stay out of their way. This is how we were able to make this whole thing quick. They were quick to pack up furniture to ensure no damage. They also disassembled our bed frame for transport. They were great to put it back together at the new place. By far the most affordable option that I found for a long distance move within California. They were on time for pick-up, early for drop-off, and fast at both. I was a hesitant to book a shared truck with someone else, but none of the items were mixed and it didn't impact the schedule at all. None of the items were damaged either, and no damage to any of the walls, railings, or floors during move out/in. Communication can be a little tough if you don't speak Mandarin, but I didn't find that to be that big a deal, and you can always call Michael Li if you need any help. read more

The best Moving company I ever work with. I hired a different moving company on my first moving day (3 person for $180/hr) but technical only 2 person was working. The third person is more like a driver. I got so disappointment in working with them (Brother...) so on my second day I decided to call another moving company and I was so pleased with their work and price. They only charge 2 person for $100/hr but I feel like they were working for 3 people job. I will definitely RE-book them for any future moving service. It was like a military operation. The crew showed up and put our stuff in their truck - they wrapped everything in blankets and protective wrap. It was swift without it being rushed or heavy-handed. (they even took apart my child's bed in about 2 minutes (which I had struggled to take apart for an hour). When they delivered everything, it was the same experience. Our moving schedule was quite hectic with a toddler at home, so I contacted a number of companies on a Saturday afternoon hoping to move on Monday. Here's the list of reasons why we loved Everlasting: 1) They responded within 10 mins with very competitive pricing and had 3 movers available Monday morning. 2) The movers arrived early and had no trouble finding our address (lots of delivery folks do). 3) The movers were extremely professional, efficient, and fast. They took apart and packaged up our furniture very carefully and nothing was damaged in any way. Not only that, they did not leave a single mark/scratch on our walls despite having to haul things down our 3-floor townhouse with narrow stairways. 4) We weren't completely done packing, and the movers saved us tons of work by actually packaging our stuff with the furniture e.g. a rocking chair was wrapped up (with their heavy-duty saran wrap) with lots of books and other random things on the seat. 5) The movers only took a 30min lunch break, which was excluded from the hourly cost. I requested a quote and booked an appointment through Yelp. I found their prices to be decent for the area, so I decided to go with them. I hired two movers, and they showed up on time the morning of. Only the lead mover spoke English; both preferred to speak in Mandarin. They were transparent on what services they offered from the very beginning (e.g. laying carpet on the stairs, dollies for moving items, dismounting TVs but no mounting, etc). The lead mover was professional, friendly, and extremely careful when it came to wrapping up my furniture, disassembling and reassembling my couch, and hauling all my items up and down the stairs to my new home. The second mover, however, was noticeably less careful. I caught him a few times just dragging some of my furniture across my new floors, which could have potentially scratched them. He also left a few items wrapped up, which I didn't notice until they left. They completed the move in about 4 hours. Overall, I had a decent experience, due mostly in part to the lead mover. I'd consider hiring them again since their prices are pretty good, even after factoring in the tip. read more

I used this company 3 times personally now and have referred them to family and friends which used them for a total of about 3 times. I also scheduled them again for my next move. They have a huge truck that is all inclusive of furniture covers, shrink wraps, carpet covers, trolleys and some wardrobe boxes. They also disassemble furnitures. They are fast workers. Tip: make sure that everything is ready to go before they arrive. They always arrive on time or even ahead of time so they are ready to work when they get there. Also, just get out of their way because they have a method to load and move items in and out of the truck. You might just get in their way and take longer. Make sure you know where to have them lay the items at the love in location so you don't waste their time moving things around for you. If there are items such as personal and valuable items you dont want lost in the move, put it in your personal car! You dont want things lost during the move! TIP THEM WELL! these people work hard! Sent out a quote request through Yelp and multiple companies responded. Everlasting came back the cheapest so we decided to go with them. All the communication was transparent and fine with the owner and I have no complaint about that. But moving day didn't really go as planned. We were moving mostly everything ourselves so we decided to hire the movers for the large items such as appliances and the beds. I had talked to the owner and he agreed that they can help assemble/disassemble the beds, hook up the washer and dryer, and mount the TVs. Well, come moving day and basically the guys refused to hookup the washer/dryer and mount the TVs. Three guys came and one guy basically stood there the whole time while the other two guys moved the items. He also just started standing there handing screws when another guy was building a bed instead of hooking up things as promised. The job was completed at 5.5 hours and they rounded to 6 hours for payment. Furthermore, they asked for more tip even though I gave the $10/ per person per hour as requested. They said they had to go down stairs from my townhome which I had indicated to the owner on exact locations of where everything was. Wasn't a super pleasurable experience but they did get the job done. I do think the other companies that were more expensive would've gotten the job done quicker bringing the total similar and not having the forceful tip conversation. read more

They really have good price for moving, if you don't have a lot of stuff :) They are careful and professional, but not passionate, and there's language barrier if you don't speak mandarin. I wanted to move a 1b1b to a different place. They really gave me good quote price wise. They still protect furnitures with blankets and shrink tapes, disassembly and assembly furnitures without rest. They also make sure nothing is left behind. I don't have any expensive things, and they fit my wallet pretty well. The whole move took 3 movers 2 hours 40 minutes. The reason for minus one star: 1) They don't charge for deposit for a reservation; On the other hand, I was asked if I can do the move from afternoon to morning the night before the move :/ I guess other customers can bail without consequences. 2) They also charge by half an hour, which is weird. My case is probably special, but I do feel I took a little emotional damage for moving to the morning. Saturday morning is precious for my sleep! read more
