Customer service can be a real drag hear. If they are selling you won't even get recognized or a hello for minutes upon minutes. Sometimes there is no one at the front for 10 or more minutes. Assume tanning themselves. read more

Great first experience! I called first and Kylie was a wealth of information. I went in that same day and she showed me around the shop and explained all the beds, spray machines, teeth whitening, wrap ect. I had no idea they had so many options. I choose to use a bed and then do a spray tan as well. It's called double dipping. The salon manager was also really really wonderful and it shows how much both girls love their job. I am more than pleased with my results. I look sun kissed and healthy. I'm preparing for my daughters upcoming May wedding and when I tried on my coral dress I realized I needed a tan after the long winter. My husband also loves my new glow! This is a 4 strictly on service. The beds-ugh, no idea when the owner changes bulbs. I happen to be an experienced tanner but I live up by Palomar Mtn and this is the closest location. The great thing about iTan is they have locations everywhere, the bummer is no RLT bed which is one big reason I usually go to these places. But the price is not outrageous bring your own goggles and towel tho. They will do their very best to make you happy with what they've got read more

DO NOT give them any credit card numbers or you will be charged!! Hidden fees no matter what the employee's tell you pretending to be knowledgeable genuine but are NOT! My girlfriend who has been going for a years talked me into a special they were having and I have never been to a tan place before so she convinced me to try it out. It was made VERY CLEAR I was trying it out and was told by their employee I would not be charged in the future and she said she understood this then sure enough, they charged my card for $99.00!! Both my girlfriend and I were SHOCKED! I contacted them and they will not refund my money!! I could explain the whole story but it would take too long and only make them look worse! This place has the worst customer service! I stopped going quite a while ago because the girls were so unfriendly. I started again recently and there is a whole new batch of unfriendly employees. I found iTan of Escondido on a whim and it payed off. I love the place. Its a spa experience without the Spa prices. The employees are always congenial and positive. A fresh breath of air after a hectic day. I thought it was just a tanning salon. Boy was I pleasantly surprised at all the spa services they offer. For me the best spa experience is the FIT Body Wrap. I shattered my ankle recently and when I'm using the FIT Body Wrap it truly takes the pain away enough for me to move my ankle around. I didn't believe them at first. BUT I am a first had believer now. I highly suggest you check them out. BRAVO iTAN!!!! read more

Came here to double dip like I always do and usually I make it in an hour or few before closing, but tonight I came in about 15 mins before and was told I couldn't double dip because the computer wouldn't allow them to send a session in after it hit 9pm. Weird since this has never happened to me before at any other ITAN salon when I've come in after 830pm. So I opted to just spray tan but someone was in the room so I had to wait. I asked how I would be able to tan if I didn't go into the room until after 9pm and they said since I walked in before nine they would be able to accommodate me. When I asked how the computer would let them put a session in after 9pm another girl said "Well we close at 9 so you just can't do both." I have been a client of ITAN for over 8 years and today I felt unappreciated as a client. 5 stars for ITAN but 2 stars for the customer service and ridiculous excuse and laziness of these girls. Thank you, Reigh and blondie for this uninviting experience. Oh and I waited in the lobby for about 15-20 mins for the other client to finish spray tanning when I could have been tanning in one of the beds... smh. read more

I LOVE ITAN! It is as simple as that. This place is great! I work ALL the time so I never have time to get a natural tan. Sooo, I use iTan for their tannina beds and even once did their mystic tan spray on. The place is rather small for a tanning salon but very upscale. The interiro is very, very nice with tons of upgrades, but at the same time has a comfortable and welcoming feel. And let me tell you, the girls that work there are smoking HOT. I mean damn I have never seen so many beautiful women all in one place all at the same time. I especially think the Manager Whitney is super hot, even if she might not be on the brightest side lol. Just kidding she is a really nice girl. The tanning beds I use are the laydown kind and are very high-tech. I only do 15 mins (Ima a white boy) but it really gets the job done. And the one time I used their spray on tan service I got really good results. The only thing I didn't really like was that the tanning stuff sometimes rubs off on your clothes. I would definitely reccomend this place to anybody else looking to get a tan, natural or artificial. They have the nicest girls and the best equipment for tanning! You should try it. read more

Alil pricey, but nice place. Ive been coming here on and off for awhile now. The girls are nice and helpful and the beds are clean and work properly. Also, i like how they give you a pair of goggles if you dont have your own. A step up would be to obviously lower the prices and get lotion dispensers in all the rooms. Thatd be awesome. read more

The girls here are great very helpful and all have fun personalities!! I've been a member for a year already and its very convenient to come in whenever and they always have specials and upgrades. I do forget to put my account on hold so I lose out on money, but it was easier to pay monthly than drop ins because i got the tan i needed/wanted for the performances and I could always use my points to use the higher levels. The girls are very helpful with which lotions would be beneficial for you based on the type that you like and the color you're going for. unfortunately now a days i spend more of my time in the south bay area and they dont have one close to my area so i lose out on that convenience. read more

I really hesitated to write this review and maybe my experience was just a fluke as I have had a tan in the Versa machine numerous times in Hermosa Beach which were awesome. I bought the tan and even the recommended boost. I asked when I could shower and they said 6-8 hours. Just to be safe, I waited until the next morning to shower. Tan was completely gone in one day. It look like I had never gone in there. Pretty disappointed. I will say the staff is very upbeat and nice. read more

I'm kicking myself for blanking on the name of the girl with dark hair and green eyes that always remembers me but huge kudos to her exemplary customer service. She really takes the time to listen to your concerns and make suggestions without holding other customers up and takes cues well on whether or not to push product based on member interest. I'm new to the area, and hate to say it but can't go too long without a little healthy glow! So... finding a new tanning salon was a must (after unpacking). I had planned on purchasing single sessions since I normally tan about twice a month BUT the prices on their tanning packages were awesome!! Also, the rep that helped me out was super friendly and very informative. I ended up gettig the top package which includes all of the beds, the mystic, and the spa services. The only not so good thing is that the salon does not have all of the spa services that are included in my package at this location. Luckily, my membership is good at any of the iTan locations and there are a lot in the area. Try them out! read more

I went in for the first time a few days ago because a friend recommended I check it out. I was really skeptical at first because I don't tan very easily. I was really surprised with the wide variety of services they offer. The two girls in there were very friendly, I think the girl who helped me was Sandra. She explained everything in detail and made recommendations on what I should do to prepare for my trip. I ended up buying a lotion that was in my price range and then I jumped into their 20min bed and it was nothing like I had ever tried before. I saw really great color and I didn't burn. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had at a tanning salon. They also offer bodywraps that I'm really interested in checking out. read more

I had a very good first and second experience here. I appreciate the time the lady took to explain the spray tans to me and the options they had. She was very friendly and didnt' appear pushy or in a hurry. Their tanning facilities are top notch - the only reason for the 4 stars was because the pricing. I moved to escondido from another california city - "close by" and their prices are just a bit expensive and they are a bigger company so they could do better packages- I like to buy a bunch at once for a deal. thats my only complaint. otherwise great. read more

First time to a tanning salon and had no idea how it works, was sold a package for $50 , shown where the " on " button was and proceeded, went the next day for a level 5 tanning , got out and didn't see any results at all , I asked about why I wasn't seeing results , the manager said " did I use tanning lotion " I said no , she said " oh , if you don't use the tanning treatment, your skin will resist the tanning lights for the first 5-6 minutes" so basically I just wasted my time and money as I was not told about any of the procedures to tanning !! The first time I went , I think the lady at the front was more worried about her Starbucks her boyfriend was bringing her , what a lousy crew of employees at the Escondido location , no customer service at all , maybe I'll try the San Marcos location , maybe, because now I hardly have any " credits" left since they've been wasted .... read more
