Initially, Mariela went over the reasonable cost and estimated how many sessions she felt we would realistically need. Immediately we noted her apparent love of animals and her impressive depth of knowledge. She first worked with our six year old Australian Shepherd on friendly greetings/barking and "going to place" when someone comes to the door. She guided me me step by step and modeled training, so I could work with our Aussie between visits. She shared her CDs and a fantastic training device to help us progress without trepidation. Having very high standards, I felt I needed to see her in action to learn how best to work with our girl. Customizing for individual families' needs and preferences and her practical approach have made training personal, manageable, and reliable. We currently work with Mariela to address our young Bernese Mountain Dog's needs. Being a challenge, our re-homed BMD's independence was exasperating us, but we felt certain Mariela's help would assuage our frustration with having a difficult dog with very little self-control. With a series of sessions, Mariela's flexibility has helped us work through each and every challenge, including fear periods (fear of tall men, hairy faces...), digging, demand barking, poor recall, socializing, sit/stay, and extreme independence - all with her easy-to-follow, customized ten to twenty minutes a day training routine. Consistently answering my myriad questions patiently and thoroughly, she has, willingly and without reservation, focused on each issue by having me observe her working with our BMD while providing guidance for us. Mariela masterfully trains our girl (and me) both in our home and out in the field for hands-on work with the public. Mariela's professionalism has provided unparalleled evidence that with some attainable goals and a bit of consistency, all dogs can learn and all owners will benefit. We LOVE Every Dawg's Dream!!!! My wife and I have been using Mariela and Every Dawg's Dream for over 6 months to walk our dog and also conduct training. This company is truly unique in that it provides you the best of both worlds so you don't have to hire a separate pet sitting company and then hire a trainer. Mariela is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and has completely turned around our dog's "issues". She is also one of the kindest and most honest people we have ever worked with and unlike other pet sitters we've used in the past, she truly takes your dog's best interest at heart. For example, when we first met Mariela, we were using a prong collar for our dog, which we assumed was fine since it's so widely used. However, Mariela quickly educated us on the terrible effects of using such adverse devices and opened our eyes to become firm believers in positive reinforcement training. What disappoints my wife and I are people who decide to own dogs but refuse to be responsible pet owners. The couple who suggested that Mariela and her company should take care of 4 dogs with only 2 fifteen minute visits a day while they are gone on vacation for 7 days should be ashamed of themselves. What responsible people do that?!?! If you can't afford to properly take care of your dogs, don't run a puppy mill out of your house and expect someone so upstanding and caring to abide by your ridiculous request that clearly endangers your dogs! I respect Mariela for not accepting to be a part of such abuse. So, if you want to hire a company who is willing to do the bare minimum, potentially risking the well being of your pets so you can save a few bucks, then go with another company. Cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Mariela and Every Dawg's Dream. She is incredibly thorough and thoughtful in her service (in my case, puppy socialization) and genuinely cares about the animals she is working with. To be honest, there is not another person my puppy gets more excited to see than her when she would show up for their weekly trips together. Living in a large apartment community with lots of dogs, it was extremely important to me that my puppy be comfortable and friendly with people and animals and this is exactly what I've gotten with Mariela's help. In fact, he is pretty much THE friendly and comfortable dog around the community now. I receive compliments on nearly every walk I take my puppy on about how well behaved and friendly he is. What I appreciated most about this service was how much Mariela went above and beyond what I was paying for. She has constantly given me pointers and resources on how to best train and handle my dog, has kept an eye on puppy food recalls that could possibly affect us and even caught what turned out to be an ear infection that my vet overlooked when I first brought him home. This, in addition to just how thorough and detailed her socialization recaps were, made me feel very pleased with my decision to enlist her help. While I can only speak to the quality of her puppy socialization service, I have no doubt that Mariela puts the same thought and effort into all that EDD has to offer and would recommend her to anyone on the fence. read more

We were very impressed with Every Dawg's Dream and highly recommend their services. The entire process from start to finish was very smooth and professional. Mariela arranged a meet-and-greet quickly to assess our needs, and we were impressed by the professionalism from the get-go. My partner and I were planning a trip away over the holiday break for 6 days, and were very concerned at leaving our young cat at home alone (since we'd never left her with strangers before). After meeting with the Every Dawg's Dream team we were immediately put at ease. Our pet-sitter Martha visited our cat twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) to feed and play with her. She was great and the regular contact really put our minds at ease, we even had the best surprise of a cute picture message of our cat! We loved being able to customize our requirements for times and length of visits. We love Every Dawg's Dream! Mariela and her team are great - friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy. Our lab mix Stella Blue loves going to their studio for Manners Class and has really benefitted from their positive reinforcement approach to training. We utilize their dog walking services 4+ times per week. Our dog walker, Jessi, is always on time and Stella is always tuckered out after their adventures! We love coming home to Jessi's notes about their fun together. Stella is still a puppy and Jessi is great about communicating by text any issues (she has walked in to all sorts of chewed up stuff). She always notifies me by text AND cleans up the mess!! The online scheduling system is great and we always receive prompt confirmations. I also appreciate their willingness to accomodate our very often last minute requests! We LOVE our pets so much, and wouldn't trust just anyone with their care. These guys were fabulous! We have always had relatives stay with our two cats and a dog when we took vacations. A last minute mix up meant we had to find someone on short notice this summer. Needless to say, we were a little nervous to have someone we did not know in our house and responsible for the well being of our pets. These guys were so professional and responsive. They sent someone over immediately for a consultation. They took down all our information, even asked if the pets liked special treats. Our sitter even watered our plants and brought in the mail. The absolute coolest thing was the text messages we reveived each vist of each pet. (Thanks Amy!) Having just made a cross-country move, we were very concerned about being able to find a great sitter/walker for our 2 French Bulldog kids. Mariela & Danielle came to meet us and my kids immediately fell in love with both of them. I've been on out of town trips & used the overnight services - LOVE IT! I could tell how much my kids love Danielle when I came home from a trip and my girl goes over to snuggle with D. My boyfriend and I started training with Mariela several months ago for our severely abused pit bulls. We had done training with another person that did not value positive training techniques. it seemed to re traumatize our dogs. Mariela came in with confidence, professionalism, skill, and positive training techniques that gave immediate results. The amazing thing is that it was fun! I went to my first puppy preschool class, and learned so much! The things that she thinks to socialize and desensitize them too are great, I wouldn't have thought of many of them myself! Manson had a great time with her, and the other puppies. She even gave him his own cow hoof for being a good boy! I love that she's always about positive reinforcement, and the homework she gives helps so much.
