So sometimes I feel like it's almost a waste of time to post 5-star reviews for places that have already established their 5-star Yelp rep...but it's just necessary to commend excellent service all the time, really!!! Everyone (honestly, everyone) has been recommending Khoi since I went silver-blond a few years back. I've seen a few stylists over my quest to get silver hair...and I finally found someone who is both committed to providing an awesome service to his customers and yet remains passionate about the quality of his work. The staff at Every Piece Salon are always friendly and welcoming, often other stylists and assistants come around to help manage my crazy amount of hair- which helps me get in and out quickly from the chair! Seriously, the first salon I been to without that "vibe" you get when you enter an upscale salon. It's a good thing!!! The salon itself has this clean, cool and earthy feel to it. Lots of wood finishes inside and air plants. One of the most ahhh-mazing things about their salon is that they use organic products...seriously. Their whole hair care line is organic and it works wonders for your hair!!! Whatever he recommends to buy after your hair service, I would say to buy it! Best thing ever for your hair and to maintain its health/color. They have something for every hair type and problem!! Parking for the salon is under the salon itself, go up the ramp (drive slowly as you approach the turn, so you don't miss it). There's a ton of free visitor stalls. You walk down the stairs (right side of the ramp as you're facing out) and out the door to the right. There is a set of elevators and you take it to the 4th floor. Your zen awaits!!! The thing I hate most about most salons is the hair washing...but not here. It's almost the best part! The basins have this awesome little headrest that keeps your neck from the having to hang over the usual rim of the basin itself. It's super comfortable, I fall asleep getting my hair washed in the low and tall sinks. For the taller sink, you're actually lying flat, it's soooo relaxing. You'll never want to go back to normal hair washing! So of course the best part about Every Piece Salon is the finished product! Khoi and his team make sure you leave the salon happy with the end result...every time! He even checks up on you to make sure things are going well with your hair. I have been going to Every Piece Salon for a while now and every time I've gone in the past, I've really enjoyed their service. But unfortunately, I decided to color my hair again after 2 years of having it dyed back to black. I went into the consultation expecting her to not be able to bleach much of my hair because she did warn me if I ever dyed it dark. It would take a while before I could ever bleach it again. I understood that, but then I decided to ask them if I could just dye it brown or do some highlights at least and they decided to text me saying "we are not confident in providing you with a color appointment currently. If you would like, I would suggest contacting Salon Mod or Kirei Kollective. Thank you." So basically you guys just lost out on a customer forever? Also, they didn't apologize at all for not being able to provide the service that I wanted. So big red flag . The scenario that came to my mind was going to a restaurant, and you as the customer telling the server "sorry can I order this off the menu but without something that it's topped with?" Then the waiter saying "sorry we're not confident it'll taste good that way so we can't do that but you can go across the street to that other restaurant and maybe they can do that for you?" I just see it as very bad customer service to recommend another company if you can't provide the service a customer wants. Just say "I apologize but we unfortunately aren't comfortable or confident to do color on your hair at the moment and we cannot provide that type of service for you. Sorry for the inconvenience." Don't recommend me to go to another company because you guys can't offer the service I want. That just makes your company look very unprofessional. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I've had my hair done by both Khoi and Koiki and I'm always so satisfied with the results!! Koiki did my hair today and it was an amazing experience from start to finish :) We started off the appointment by discussing what kind of color and cut I wanted, and what would work best for my hair. We have all had that traumatizing moment when we tell the hairstylist we want a "trim" and they chop off 6 inches lol. So I super appreciate that the stylists here actually take the time to listen to what you want :) Anyways!! We toned/cut my hair and I am soo happy with the silver ash color that Koiki created :) It came out even better than the photos I showed her! My hair feels so soft and healthy, and looks so shiny. As for the salon, there are so many touches that show that they really care about their clients. The whole staff is so knowledgeable, sweet, and friendly. They always offer drinks and even food, which is super awesome bc hair appointments can be long and you can get hungry lol. Also, can I just talk about the hair wash?! Amazing!!!!! It is sooo relaxing because they have the best wash station. You can actually rest your head in the wash bowl and relax, not like at other salons where you have to hold your neck up and it gets super sore. I hate to give 3 stars because he was incredibly sweet and I feel like he's probably very talented, with Asian hair... I have such thin white girl hair and came with specific ideas of what I wanted. Which was my natural brunette with a pretty ashy balayage sweep down. I ended up with brassy chunky highlights. Not natural or gentle at all. I've never had hair I actually hated and was willing to waste another 4 hours of a day on, to repair. His service is amazing and the massage is great. But if you have non-Asian thick black hair, I would not recommend this salon at all. I'm now having to pay double to correct it. Big bummer. read more

I followed my hairdresser Marissa here from her previous workplace and HIGHLY recommend her! She always cuts/colors my hair exactly the way I want it! The best part is that she cuts my hair in a way that it grows out so nicely!! She is the sweetest person and always makes me feel so comfortable whenever I go to see her. After years of OK haircuts I finally found my perfect stylist. Marissa was incredible and she cut my hair exactly how I wanted. No correction necessary, what a relief! Not only is Khoi talented beyond belief with a pair of scissors, he is extremely knowledgeable on the science behind mixing colors. My first time in his chair was for a color correction; he eased my mind by explaining his actions before executing them and using terms I could understand to explain why he was doing what he was doing. My hair went from disgustingly brassy blonde to creamy and multidimensional in just one sitting, something I did not think was possible. And my ombre/balayage grew out absolutely beautifully. I was so pleased. I had a great time over the course of my two hour appointment; Khoi is very easygoing and pleasant to converse with, always making me feel comfortable. My review is for Sheldon at Every Piece Salon. This is a newish Salon and Sheldon Yamauchi comes here from Salon 808. I had hair that had been seriously damaged by another stylist and over the past 6 months or Sheldon has truly worked hard to get my hair back into shape. He is amazing with color, and I always leave the salon with perfectly covered roots, highlights as needed, and a color that is perfect for me. The color products he uses are the best, no fade, even in the Hawaii sun and my hair is never, EVER, damaged. My cut is absolutely perfect. This salon is tucked away upstairs, but not too difficult to find. It is very clean, kind of reminds me of Portland and it's hip style. Everyone was so kind and offered me something to eat or drink while I was there. Also, I recently got a truck and had trouble Parking it and my stylist came downstairs and parked it (seriously that was so kind, thank you!!). So...I love this place. It is a smaller salon, but the atmosphere is professional, friendly and relaxed. All the employees had fantastic hair (always a good sign), and the seat was comfy. I was there for five hours! Sorry for such a late review. Life has been hectic, but now that things have simmered down a bit, I have some time on my hands to write this. I have heard this place from an acquaintance of a friend of mine. I was in need of a haircut and figured I'd color my hair at the same time as I normally do. She told me of her friend who works at a salon who can help me out. So she suggested me to Jorissa. Jorissa was great to work with. She kept me updated throughout the time before my appointment with her. She had even assisted me in giving me directions in how to get to the salon. I had accidentally forgotten to grab photos off the internet as to the color and style I wanted. But upon sitting in the chair, she allowed me to look on her phone for photos in order for her to have a better idea as to what I wanted. She had offered both my husband me drinks and made sure we were comfortable at all times. When it came to coloring and wash my hair, she had taken me to what was a massage chair and where she can wash my hair. Though I wasn't there for a massage, it was amazing to just lay back and relax as she placed more color into my hair, wash my hair, as well as massaged my scalp. Who can possibly say that their hairstylist gave them a head massage while getting a haircut and color. What shocked me next was to see her blow dry my hair before cutting. I'm so used to having it the other way around. For her, she didn't want to cut off more than necessary as often would happen if she were to cut it before drying. Also, what else was nice was to see her and the other workers work together. With time passing by, one of the other girls helped out in getting my hair dry faster. Even the manager gave her some advice as we kept cutting my hair. Yes, I must admit I was getting more than what I had planned. I have never had my hair as short as it is now. But with how it ended, I fell in love with it. I was worried about the color for I was reminded that it'll get lighter overtime with washing. But up until now it has remained the color I wanted no matter what. I was a bit worried knowing I had to get my hair bleached to get the color I wanted for in the past my hair dried out quite significantly. In this case, it didn't happen. It remained soft as it has been if not better. Jorissa was wonderful in every way and manner and would definitely recommend her to anyone. However, I trust Tina so much that I let her practice on me before she went to beauty school and when she was attending beauty school. She always did an amazing job and I always loved the results. I can't believe I've never heard of this salon before. Probably because it's hidden on the 4th floor of a building not really near anything fancy. But trust me, it's a gem. My entire experience at this salon has been at least 6 stars. If you want your hair to be the best it can be, you need to come here. They will treat you like royalty. In my experience, some stylists will try to sell you products that aren't actually very helpful to your hair, but the range of products they have here and the fact that they are ORGANIC and so gentle, you know they aren't fooling around. Your scalp and your hair gets a diagnoses and Khoi is sooooo knowledgeable about hair, he is the hair guru. Not once have I felt him hurt me, even while detangling (we all know how that feels). He washed my hair twice and I swear that it gave my hair LIFE again. I ended up purchasing the shampoo they used. Nica is amazing!! She has more talent in her little pinky than all of the stylists I have ever encountered in my lifetime! I went in there with spots in my hair, dry ends, and brassy hair. Nica was so patient with me in reassuring me of what work needed to be done and worked ever so patiently on my hair. I absolutely loved how attentive she was to every detail of my experience there. She earned a client for life! The salon is very welcoming and I'm obsessed with the products they used. On a side note, the products smell great and their dry shampoo is all natural; it's plant and mineral based. I decided to make a change and get a consult via instagram by @unicacorn . She's honestly GREAT ! Very thorough, she keeps you updated on the things that are happening to your hair and she tries her very best to achieve what you want. Though not everything can be done in the first session, she does her best to leave your hair looking great at the end of the session ! I cannot stress enough about how great this salon is. It's very chic and and sophisticated. A huge plus for me is that they offer food and refreshments if you get hungry/thirsty. They even have wash stations where you can lie down, so you can add that option to your service if you'd like some extra comfort. There's even ample parking! Also, the salon uses/sells organic hair products from Italy. I bought a hydrating shampoo and hair mask and I can immediately sense the difference in the health of my hair.
