I recently joined Everyday Fitness; I selected them for several reasons: They have a wide variety of fitness equipment, much of which appears to be newly installed. The center is clean and well staffed with knowledgeable trainers who are able to offer direction and assistance. The gym has a "clean" scent; it appears to me that they give solid attention to maintenance. Gyms oftentimes appear not to have a scheduled sanitation routine in place and you can sense it as soon as you enter the building; that is not the case here. Kudos to the staff and management. Easy access via their code-reader located at the front desk, where you'll be greeted and acknowledged by name. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Bad gym, bad service, bad overall they have decent equipment they need to put in more effort.

Since I've been here I've seen the gym devolve into a political arena. Encouraged by the 4+ televisions blaring Fox News all day I hear more and more gym goers use this place as their Republican stomping ground. Enough is enough. I have no qualms with the choice of television asked for by ownership, but when a majority of your goers use your gym as their political meetup it's time to clean up the place. This is my second week of working out at Everday Fitness. I signed up for 6 months of work with a personal trainer and 3 months with their nutritionalist. I've had great experiences so far. Being an older person I am looking for experienced and knowledgeable people to help me achieve my goal for becoming more fit and mobile. Greedy. This place will charge you for a sweat towel even though you are already paying for a membership. Also, what kind of cheap owner charges the customers for "yearly maintenance" isn't it the business owners job to manage their upgrades and maintenance with the money everyone is already paying?? Cheap. Also I canceled my membership in May and in writing have it that they would stop charging in MAY. They over draft my account in JUNE and tell me I need to wait 5 days for a refund. Don't waist your time with this place. Edit: Hi Tonya, I have never been charged a maintenance fee at any other gyms in the area. Also check out the picture attached where it does not say pending. I understand you have a job to do but if I stole $50 worth of equipment I think you'd want it back right away not 5 business days later. I'm 80 and needed a personal trainer. Ryan Tirado was assigned to me. He took into consideration my age and intense dislike for exercise and made it actually fun. When I first joined Everyday I was very much impressed with their inviting staff and how friendly and comfortable they made me feel. I already felt out of place in a gym setting, they made it easy. Over the course of the next year and a half I slowly began to see the inner workings of the gym and how they operate. Can't say enough how disappointed I was! They were no longer friendly the staff wasn't as inviting and it left a bad taste. Then came several bad things after another finishing with them carelessly posting half naked photos of me on the internet WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. They were also trying to drum up business for an 8 weeks bootcamp using 9months results to sell it. Pretty shading business if you ask me! Needless to say I no longer have a membership at everyday and will NEVER step foot in there again! Moral of the story, you wanted to be treated poorly and have your feelings stomped all over to get what they want. Then this is the gym for you! read more

Why don't you focus on providing a valuable product rather than letting people give you honest feedback. Super toxic environment. Way too expensive for the low end equipment. It's super dirty and gross. Staff doesn't seem to clean anything. The manager seems to want to rebuttal on a platform that doesn't allow the customer any response. Then further. Decides that asking the people that work for her what happened rather than asking the customer too makes sense. Not like your low paid employees have a conflict of interest like the desire to keep their jobs. Trainers here are also basically amateur hour. There's probably 20 gyms in Redding. Coming from SoCal LA Fitness gyms, I don't see what I'm paying for here. The gym equipment is very outdated; I guess it is still cool to live in a "legacy" bodybuilding gym, but when I'm doing a pull-down and have to guide the bar back into the weights by wiggling, it's time to update. You also can't use any of the brand new equipment unless you sign up for the personal training program and get exclusive access to the back room, and the managers are in no way concerned or care if you even join. I understand gyms won't beg you to join, however these guys and gals running the gym act like used car salesmen; just trying to get the next Buck and move on. The front desk workers are the personable and more caring employees there. Now I'm over at NSFIT across the street paying $35 a month for a very good variety of gym equipment and platforms from this decade, and the GM hangs out on the floor and talks and laughs with members. I also appreciate them always renovating the place and adding equipment/classes that members ask for. These guys also acknowledge First responders, military and healthcare workers with nice discounts for sign up. You get what you pay for, right? But this gym in no way shows it. read more

I really like this gym! I usually work out at a CrossFit gym, and I also tend to stay away from "globo-gyms" because they have too many treadmills and ellipticals, too much pressure to buy add-ons (personal training, classes, etc), and not enough power-lifting and Olympic lifting equipment. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find Everyday Fitness, which I think strikes the perfect balance between mega gym and CrossFit/power-lifting gym. Here were my observations: -Friendly, low pressure staff. I walked in and asked if I could drop-in. There were no membership sales pitches, no attempts to sell personal training, and no pushes toward supplements. What I did get was a friendly smile and a "welcome to our gym." Very refreshing. -The gym has a perfect mix of equipment. Want treadmills or exercise bikes? They have them. Want rowers? They have lots of those too. Weight machines? There are quite a few. Like traditional gym weights like dumbells, squat racks, benches, and metal plates? Yes, they have those. How about CrossFit-style rubber plates, a pull-up rig, kettlebells, boxes, and ropes to climb? Yep, there are lots of those too. In short, if you can't find the equipment you need here, it might not exist. -The bathrooms were very clean and inviting. Lockers were good too. -I did not participate in any classes, but they had quite a few. I can't wait to work out here again! read more

I used this gym for years. I had minor issues here and there that aren't significant to ding them on, and they always make it right anyways! I just wanted to add my two cents to say they are a great gym and we are looking at going back to Everyday very soon...just need to find that pricing online, but it's not there. I visited Redding for a wedding and needed a place to workout for a couple of days. After doing a quick search I discovered Everyday fitness. From the first call, the staff was very kind and inviting (Hannah and Anthony). When I got there, Anthony was quick to welcome me in and walk me around and was very personable. As I said in my previous post, this is a very large gym. But for being as big as this gym is the owners and management make it a point to get to know each and every one of their members. They were quick to respond to my minor criticism on one item and try to figure out how to resolve it. You don't get this type of customer engagement in larger franchise gyms or businesses. The people at this gym make you feel welcome and wanted as their clientele. Really good gym. It never gets crowded and it has pretty much every piece of equipment you could think of and multiples of the major ones. This is where all the serious bodybuilders work out. The only thing is that the gym closes pretty early but going there near closing time often I see that there probably isnt much demand for them to stay open later anyway. The EFX set up looks pretty cool though I haven't got to try it yet. I wish the classes were later in the evening, the latest regular EFX class is 5:30p and getting off work at around 5ish it would be a rush to try to make it in on time. 6 or 7p would be nice. This is a lifters gym. Whether you're a body builder, power lifter, cross fit or just someone that is serious about living a fit lifestyle, this is the place you need to be. I moved up fro so cal with my family and I left a commercial fitness club. So Redding being such a small town I was unsure if I was going to find a good gym. After reading reviews from other gyms in town, it was a no brainier...I had to check this place out. Came in on a guest pass for a week. I was intimidated at first because I saw Ed's (the owner) bodybuilding trophies and medals and people were not messing around here. I loved it. Right away I knew this is the place I need to be to accomplish my fitness goals. The place is clean, and well maintained. Every piece of equipment is chosen by Ed who you can catch working out in there everyday. And if you ask him for advice he'll drop a ton of knowledge that will suit what you're pursuing. You'll find a real community here. People are so friendly and you have the sense that people want to see you perform well and prosper. I even got hooked up with a student discount! The rudest staff ever ! Went to work out at the gym and was informed by the gym staff after entering that my membership was due no problem. But I asked if I could use the bathroom before I renewed my membership and she was rude to me and wrinkled up her nose and made a face which I thought was kind of rude but I told her it was kind of an emergency I have been traveling a ways to the gym I need to use the restroom before I renewed and she made a stink about it anyway I proceeded to the restroom and thought about it for a second and as I came back out I thought for a moment and decided that after her rude behavior I was not going to renew my membership and decide to go across the street enjoying the other gym and as I was I realized several other people were following bad staff rude not a good place to go don't go here!!! read more

I enjoy coming to this gym 4-5 days each week. It is a highly affordable monthly rate and it includes free classes every day of the week where you can meet other like-minded people and experience a variety of workouts in strength training, metabolic conditioning, spinning and more. Hands down, Asher's early evening Metcon and Pure Strength classes never fail to be a butt-kicking challenge! He changes up the workouts every class and I appreciate his dedication to excellence when designing the workouts for clients such as myself who are passionate about fitness and want to be challenged. In town on business. Did not want to miss a workout. Read reviews of a few gyms in the Redding area and picked this one. They have kettle bells, which you don't find everywhere. They have battle ropes, lots of sleds, and a huge variety of just about anything you've ever used. It's a big facility. Some of the cardio machines, specifically the treadmills, are a little older. Everything seemed to be in good working order and everything was clean. The clients all cleaned their machines after use. Checkin was efficient, friendly, thorough. Sarah kindly offered to put my Blender Bottle in their cooler so that my protein shake would stay cool until I finished my cardio. Every employee at the front desk cheerfully greeted every arrival. I visited this gym on a Tuesday evening at about 7pm. It was busy but not crowded. Perhaps I missed the after-work crowd? I'm glad to know that I can get a complete workout here when I'm traveling in this area. read more

The worst customer service I have EVER had. I don't usually write reviews... but after 7+ emails to this gym about needing cancelation, sending bank statement, and many unreturned calls, I feel like this is my only option. My husband and I moved out of redding in June, 2019 due to an emergency and we had to move back to a small village in Alaska. We had requested to cancel our membership because of this and they said in order for us to do that we would need to provide them with proof of residency. We brought them plane tickets, proof that we were moving back, and they still said it had to have an address and a date. So we caved and our accounts were put on hold. Fast forward to January 2020, we started getting charged $19.99 per account again. We were not informed that in January it would expire and return back to a normal membership. We had called and talked to a young man and he gave us an email and told us that we need to contact this email to cancel our memberships. I emailed them in February, Multiple times in March, and contacted them in between those dates as well only to be told that they "never received our emails." and that we had never requested for it to be canceled. We signed up for a one year contract when we started, and we are WELL past the one year contract time, and still being charged. This morning I was charged 4 times at $19.99. We only have two memberships. We couldn't get ahold of them at all due to the covid-19 close and so we have had to wait to get ahold of them because they would not email us back. Now they are STILL saying that we need proof of residency to cancel our accounts, even though we have provided them with information via email proving our residency. Not that anyone cares, but at this point for us to live so far away with absolutely no way of coming into the branch, I feel like this is my only option. I absolutely DO NOT RECCOMEND/ read more

I came to this gym for a couple of years and then I left because I moved out of the area. I am now a returning member. I love this gym because they have lots of friendly and helpful staff. This place has such a nice atmosphere and is very clean. I never see hair in the drain or garbage cans that are full. They offer a great selection of classes. I do, however, wish that they could add a class or two during the noon hour, as most of the classes are in the morning or between 4:30-7pm. I recently started EFX with Katie in the afternoons and she was great for my first class. She was not too hard on the class but definitely pushed us. She was helpful and encouraging in pointing out areas where I could change and better my posture, etc. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is just not big enough. What would make this gym even better is if they could somehow add a second story or expand in some way. It is so busy here that It can sometimes be challenging to find equipment. It's also nice that the owner seems to be involved a lot. I frequently see him around and all of the staff seem to like him and members are always stopping to see hello. Its great to see a business owner who is actually actively involved in their business and the public. I have been to a lot of gym and Everyday Fitness is by far my favorite. This is not the best gym in Redding, unless you are already a muscled out bro. Their cardio equipment is extremely out dated, the belts stick constantly on the treadmills. They have a very limited offering of classes, and the ones they have are geared to the already fit. The patrons are not friendly, very judgmental. I was absolutely miserable here, to the point where I dreaded working out. When I confronted the gym about my concerns, I was dismissed. Stopped here to work out during a long road trip. The gym is fantastic. Great equipment and friendly staff. The facility is accommodating to all types of fitness enthusiasts, whether it's bodybuilding, powerlifting, crossfit, etc., you'll find it all here. The owner, Larry, called the front desk as I was walking out and the lady behind the counter handed me the phone. I thought I had lost my wallet or something but he just wanted to ask me how my workout was and thank me for taking care of his equipment. Being that fitness is important it's nice to have a gym that has everything needed for a more than decent workout. I visit this area during the holidays and summer time. The staff is always nice and friendly. My boyfriend is an IFBB Pro Men's Physique athlete and I coach bikini competitors so fitness is a huge part of our life. The gym has a plethora of equipment. We definitely get a good workout in every time we visit. There's plenty of room to move around and workout with out feeling crowded. There's a huge CrossFit area in the center of the gym which isn't my thing, but it is kind of nice that it's out of the way of those who are lifting. The people who workout are all friendly and there's a good vibe. I noticed they have someone there doing nutrition as well. They offer classes and I saw young adults, mom's, and elderly people all working out or taking classes. There's a decent amount of cardio equipment and there was always something open for us to do cardio on. They sell supplements, they sell shirts, there's towels there, the bathrooms are nice and well kept, and we are both overall very happy this gym is there when we visit read more

Being a weight-lifting fanatic, this is the best thing about Redding for me. This has almost everything. I think it even has a donkey calf raiser machine. If you're a crossfitter, they have those things that crossfitters use. The bar to do their butterfly pullups, kettlebells, rogue bars, gymnastic rings, and chalk! Some notes: -Large padded floor, free space -4+squat areas -4+ olympic flat benches -4+ flat benches -15+ olympic bars -8+ cable pulleys with attachments -you know how you can never find the weight clips? There's a box of them! -lotion, hair straighter/curler in the restroom (not that I would use them) -good lighting to flex in the restroom -iron plates, iron dumbbells, and bumper plates. No rubber-coated weights. It's a negative for me, I need rubber-coated dumbbells to set up for a heavy dumbbell chest press, but I'm okay with iron plates. -lots of isolation machines -filtered water fountains to fill your water bottles -keychain card check-in -Doesn't get too crowded at the "busy hours" of the gym -they help with bodybuilding contest prep -female and male juice heads -nice lounge areas downstairs and upstairs -a class room you can use if there's no classes -front desk staff greet with hi/byes -sled and prowlers! -ropes -If it was open 24 hours, it would be perfect I usually count the exact amount of benches and racks in my reviews but there's so much that it doesn't matter. I have been weight training for nearly 8 years. I travel often for work, so I have worked with numerous trainers all over the country. Justin is by far one of the best. He is knowledgeable in not only weight training but also nutrition and in many aspects of physical therapy. He makes weight training fun. The only reason I gave this gym 2 stars is because the Zumba classes were fun. I purchased a punch card to attend classes an had a change in my work schedule and gave the punch card to my daughter in law with $35. On it. I was told it was transferable. When my Daughter in law tried to use it, a snotty girl took it from her and threw it away. They stole $35. From me. I tried to fix the problem by talking to them. But they were very ugly and uncooperative. I needed to go into the gym to help my friend with her competition and video her poses and they charged her $7.50. In my opinion these people are crooks!! Do no use this gym! To reply to the punch card being 2 years old. This is not true, because my daughter in law tried to use it the next week. I also was not charged to take videos of my friend the first time. So I was surprised. And already distrustful, inconsistent policy is confusing. read more

Great variety of functional equipment, classes and amenities. However; after signing my pretty expensive starting up fees for a month to month membership, I noticed I could keep bare minimal gym membership and save a substantial amount of money. NOT THE CASE. In order to switch my membership to exclude tanning, I'd have to pay an extra $130 up front. I'm irritated at all of the miscommunication upon only being here for a few weeks. read more
