My husband and I were in the mood for Italian and found this place within walking distance downtown. It's a really cute restaurant with great vibes, and friendly and excellent service. I ordered the Poblano chicken. I highly recommend it! It has a little kick to it and was super good. My husband ordered the Lobster tortellini and was not a fan of how "soupy" it was. It came in a large bowl and was mostly liquid. He would have preferred some consistency to the meal but said the flavor was good.

didn't have a great first impression due to the hostess's hospitality. When we arrived, she didn't greet us or say a word--she just waited for her manager to tell her to seat us. When she finally took us to our table, she dropped the menus rather abruptly and walked away, which felt unwelcoming. However, I do want to highlight our server, who completely turned the experience around. He was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Since it was our first time visiting, he made thoughtful recommendations and ensured we had a great dish to enjoy. His service really stood out and made a positive difference in our visit and we will be back

We went to the Old Town Scottsdale Evo for happy hour which was ok. Once we arrived the hostess accommadated our request for a booth which was nice. They have large high enclosed booths that were so cozy. Plus, they had some reggae music playing which was inviting. For starters, we ordered the Margarita Pizza on Happy Hour.- Our least favorite. The Margarita was not great it. I think it was not fresh and lacked flavor. For non-happy hour options we had the Brie Foccacia for an appetizer then for entrees we had the Funghi Pizza and Spinach Ravioli. The Brie Foccacia was not what I expected. I think the runniness of the Brie with the Bread which was a thin white consistency with the hint of sweetness was interesting but not in a flavorful combination I liked. The Funghi Pizza took longer to come out and was definitely was a more delectable Pizza than the Margarita. Finally, the Spinach Ravioli was a huge portion and we had to take half to go. Our waitress Mikayla was very attentive and helpful throughout the evening. Strangely before we left our booth a employee from the restaurant walked by our table and thanked us for coming in. Then as we left the same person was at the hostess stand and didn't say goodbye. That felt a bit awkward as it seemed intentional to avoid staying anything. The extra effort at the table to say something and then a starl contrast at the door to not say anything just seemed strange.

    Fennel Sausage Pasta add salmon

Had the pleasure of catching up with a friend over lunch at EVO the other day. The atmosphere was pretty calm and quiet yet still inviting. Our bartender was fantastic and made some incredible cocktails, helping me with suggestions. I enjoyed the fennel sausage pasta; I was looking for something more protein-forward, so with the added salmon filet, it just hit the spot - it was creamy and aromatic, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the food was extremely fresh. I will be back; I have to see what the mussels and short ribs are like.

Such a cute Italian spot to eat at! I loved the decor in the light sign "feed me pasta and tell me I'm pretty" The homemade pasta was really tasty and was very light which I loved the flavoring was good. I got the lobster & shrimp tortellini and it was the perfect size dish. It was nice there's bar seating, indoor and outdoor seating available. It's a cute spot for just a casual dinner or going out for a special occasion.

I love that they stay open later than most. Any other sit-down restaurant around. They were quick to get us seated, very friendly, and the atmosphere is definitely like higher end casual, but there's also frat boys in tank tops too so you do you honestly. Let me skip all the mumbo jumbo and get down to the real details you need to know... The whipped feta and ricotta dip and the Evo salad are my two favorite appetizers I've ever eaten. The dip is creamy garlicky cheesy in all the right ways with a little bit of spice and sweetness from the honey and chili oil. The Evo salad is like a giant plate of just the crunchy bits you get off of a perfectly roasted brussel sprout. Perfect caramelization and vinaigrette. Each are about $15, but it filled us both up.

I finally decided to dine in at Evo after only doing delivery for the last several years... and let me tell you, it is a completely different experience. The moment I walked in, I felt transported. The vibe is this vintage classy that I personally love: ornate chandeliers, warm low light, beautiful patterned booths, and little details that make me smile (case in point: the purse hanger in the bathroom next to the toilet paper dispenser. It's the thoughtful little things!) I came in absolutely starving and ready to feast. I started with the half focaccia and the arancini... both of which were delicious. The focaccia was soft, warm, ooey gooey and downright addictive. The arancini weren't the heavy, bready kind you sometimes get, these were more rice-forward with little green pea surprises and a rich sauce that tasted a lot like their pomodoro (which is equally incredible). Speaking of the pomodoro... I ended up with a bowl and inhaled it. No exaggeration, gone in record time before learning I hadn't yet ordered it and it was for another table. Simple, bright, comforting, perfectly seasoned. At this point, I didn't think I was full yet. My body, apparently, needed a few extra minutes to send that memo. So I ordered the Evo Salad, wanting to give it a try. It's a warm salad, beautifully presented... fried kale chips, brussels sprouts, goat cheese, pancetta, balsamic, a whole little production. The flavors were good, though the kale chips held onto more oil than I personally prefer (I cook fairly oil-free at home), but I can absolutely see why it may be a favorite. By the time everything landed on my table, reality hit me: I had absolutely overfilled myself. My eyes were much bigger than my stomach, and I crossed that very specific threshold where you suddenly realize you are done. Like, done done. So done, in fact, that I couldn't even finish the last inch of water in my glass... and I never waste water. But my server kept my water so consistently, impressively full that I found myself thinking, "Oh no... I physically can't do it. I'm too full to hydrate." I mentioned I was celebrating some personal milestones, and my server surprised me with a thoughtful touch that really made me feel seen, dessert. The tiramisu, which was soft, creamy, and absolutely delicious, the perfect little victory lap for the feast I had unconsciously turned this into (even though I couldn't finish it). Now... the real highlight: the service. My server, Jemar, was exceptional. Not just "good," not just "attentive," but the kind of exceptional where every detail is handled smoothly and effortlessly. My water glass was magically never less than full (even when I wished it were a little less full so I wouldn't feel guilty leaving it behind). His timing on plates was perfect. And here's what really stood out: he never cleared anything prematurely. Not once. Every single time, he paused and asked, "Are you done with this?" "Would you like me to box it up?" When I said yes, he boxed each item with care and placed them neatly into a little to-go bag he'd set on the chair beside me. As my tummy filled and the leftovers grew, the bag slowly filled, too... without me ever feeling rushed or interrupted. I wasn't the only one who noticed... I overheard the table next to me openly complimenting him on his exceptional service, and they were absolutely right. You can tell when someone is genuinely good at what they do, and Jemar is. He is the definition of stellar hospitality. Everyone should be so lucky to sit in his section. Overall, dining in at Evo was an experience, not just a meal. Delicious food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and standout service. I'll absolutely be back. Five stars all day. And if you can, request Jemar, he's the bombdiggity.com of servers, in my opinion.

Came here to celebrate my birthday. Walked in and didn't feel welcomed at all. Just everybody staring like we didn't belong there. The food was okay it could use a little bit more salt. I ordered the charred octopus and chicken piccata. I got it with the mashed potatoes but would probably recommend getting it with pasta. My friend ordered the chicken Alfredo and it had no flavor at all as well as the steak. Wasn't offered any desserts to celebrate my birthday.

EVO is a really nice spot to visit for an after dinner drink -- the vibe is sleek and relaxing, perfect for a night out. The cocktails were great, well-crafted, and definitely the highlight of our visit. The only downside was that it took quite a while for host to seat us and we ordered drinks from the bar to come over to our booth. Once service picked up, everything was smooth, but the wait in the beginning was noticeable. Overall, still a lovely place to grab a drink and I'd come back for the cocktails alone.

I was carbo loading before race and made early dinner resys. We arrived and were immediately seated in a cozy booth perfect for quite conversation and people watching. We started with the feta whip which has a nice mix of cheese, honey, and seeds. It was a good starter. Our entrees came shortly. Unfortunately, they miskeyed Hubs ordered and presented him with a Bolognese (he doesn't eat beef). They asked if I was okay to start while they fixed his dish. That's fine since I was hoping to eat earlier to rest up. My Chile Shrimp pasta was delightful. The sauce has a mild hint of space and the mint paired well with the sauce. The linguine is house made and shows. Hubs chicken parmesan arrives and he digs in. It's okay overall and he also appreciated the house made noodles. They took care of a drink for the wait/mix up, which is nice of them. Overall, good experience.

EVO became my husband and I's favorite late night spot to eat during our honeymoon! We came here twice on our trip and both times Oyuky, made our time absolutely amazing! Oyuky was so kind, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel welcomed. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Arizona. And the food, drinks, music, and overall ambience was great! Truly an unforgettable experience.

Decided to come on a Saturday night. Tried to make reservations online but could not so called. They were kind a got us a 6:15 reservations. Found a parking spot right in front. Walking in hostess was very kind. Was seated and service was great. There were two things that might stop us from returning often. First is the noise. I have never been in a restaurant thst is so loud. The conversations were times 10. My friend is much older with hearing aids and she was having a worse time with it. We were there way over 2 hours. Most restaurants want totget move along dinner especially on a weekend night. Not here they stretched it out so long we could not wait to leave. It seems they want you to enjoy the experience but for us it was not enjoyable to sit that long and nothing happening. Food was wonderful.

We went back to EVO for a late dinner being that we had a busy day & we know that they're open late! We made reservations for a booth which is limited, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostesses with a booth waiting for us! Our server Corey greeted us, no rushing us even though they were very busy going on 9 pm Saturday evening... he even brought us a couple of samples of wine to help us choose which bottle to go with! The restaurant was very lively being that there's also a lounge area on the other side but they do have a divider wall! This time we chose a couple of different appetizers to start, the whipped feta & fried calamari with very large shrimp plus veggies.... both were delicious as we expected them to be! I went with the Shrimp Alfredo... no complaints house made pasta was made well & cooked perfectly! My husband had the chicken piccata, he was very happy that EVO did it right & made the skin crisp with the wing still attached... so happy with his choice! We finished our dinner with a piece of their tiramisu which is always a nice light ending! EVO has never disappointed us, we've always had a different server every time & each time we get the same great service! EVO is a great little restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale that has a great menu with delicious freshly made food & attentive service from all!

Honestly, I have no idea how it got those reviews. Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.

The setup at jade bar was fine; sitting by the windows is your best bet to get a nicer view; however, there was a wedding that was taking place outside, so we couldn't access to have the option to do an al fresco experience. There was no hostess, and the waitstaff seemed to be limited; we didn't know this was just a 'walk-in and grab a seat at any table' type of a setup - We ordered: +the Truffle Tots - did not expect what this dish was; the romesco sauce was just not good +a California maki roll - the imitation crab meat had an off taste to them, and it wasn't tightly rolled so everything fell apart +and, the Chicken Wings - this was covered in some type of a sticky/hoisin type of a sauce; the chicken was NOT cooked through, and we thought we were going to get sick We ordered the Blueberry Dreams (prepared with buffalo trace bourbon, lillet rouge, blueberry lemon, honey, and ginger) and the Spicy Margarita (prepared with deleon blanco tequila, cucumber, jalapeno, and lime) - both were made very strong and were aesthetically pleasing. The seating area and the chairs could have been wiped down and cleaned better; we noticed stains on the furniture. We weren't checked-in often throughout our experience; we would have liked refills, ordered additional drinks, etc., but it wasn't hapepning. You can pop out through the doors at the back of elements for a better view of the mountains, if you wish. We're glad to try this place out, but not worth going out of your way for it. +underwhelming HH options +inattentive/rude staff +located at the Sanctuary
