Drinks were good but food options were just okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were amazing though and worth it themselves![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had it decorated for Christmas so it was so nice to have all the lights on with the sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Things are good to share here like the pretzel bites but nothing worth going out of your way for.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My friend and I managed to catch the sunset and it was spectacular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had drinks only and I had a customized mocktail which was good. The service was excellent and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place is beautiful with comfortable sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Outrider Rooftop Lounge is all about timing and altitude. We came for the sunset and left impressed by more than just the view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setup is clean, laid-back, and high enough to give you a wide-open shot of Camelback fading into twilight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bartender didn't blink or scoff when we ordered a Mojito and a Negroni. Drinks came out fast and proper. The menu is limited but covers the classics, which tracks for a rooftop hotel bar. If you're sunset-chasing, show up thirty minutes early and make a reservation. Peak hour fills up quick and you'll want a solid angle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We didn't stay long, but the energy was easy, the lighting hit just right, and the cocktails held up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outrider knows what it's here for and doesn't pretend to be anything else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We did not have any food. But the drinks were excellent. I had an espresso martini. My wife had a champagne service was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the ambience was really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back.

I came here for lunch and LOVED it. The restaurant was on the roof and had a beautiful view of old town Scottsdale. Food was fabulous and served pool side! The ranch is insane and has a lemon taste to it- too good! I can't wait to come back! Definitely omit for ResortPass so you can access to the pool.

A popular rooftop bar at canopy Hilton old town Scottsdale. It's best to make reservations during sunset hours. It was packed and most people weren't hotel guests from what I'v noticed. We came here late night because the temperatures were much better than day times. I can't deal with heat so I refuse to stay outside during the day! The cocktails were very good pours and so strong. Bartenders were so friendly and chatty. I find a lot of people in Arizona had never been to Los Angeles. They seem to be envious of where we live. LOL A great place for drinks and views!

Fantastic sunset city views and free to public to go up to rooftop bar. Easy to head to bar and order drinks, but they have limited staff for ordering food. Best to make a reservation if you plan to have a meal and stay a while, but if you want to just grab a drink and mill around it is easy to do. Loved the seating around the fire and they put out lots of heat so you won't get cold. Plenty of other high top seating as well. Pro tip: Eat at one of the local restaurants first then head here for a drink and sunset view to close out the evening

Terrible service, disgusting over priced drinks that are all sugar and no alcohol. Only redeeming factor is the view

Date of Visit: 1/15/2024 The best place to watch sunset in Scottsdale area! We made the reservation around 1 hour ahead, and were sitted to at the side facing north. And we switched to the side facing west to watch sunset and the amazing color off the sky. The drinks were just ok but the view was amazing. Definitely worth visiting during the golden magic hour!

Ask the Community - Outrider Rooftop Lounge

Can someone under the age of 21 still be with a party of 21+ if the reservation goes past 9:00pm?

I was there late and there were younger kids and younger family members.

    Is there a smoking section?

    Yes

Do you need to be 21? Have a 20 and 18 year old in our party.

Hello! We require one person in the party to be 21 and make the reservation, but everyone is welcome.

Is the patio pet friendly? It's listed that way but I wanted to confirm that's accurate.

    Yes it is!

Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

Before our table was ready, we sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and the bar tenders were lively and super nice! Great service there. However the worst part of our experience was the hostess. She didn't smile at all throughout the whole time like she didn't want to be there at all. Honestly, probably need to get a new hostess cause everyone else was so nice and smiling and just a great vibe. Our server Kelly made up for how terrible the hostess was. Kelly walked through the menu with us and the favorite entrees as well as the martini cart which was such a fun experience. My husband got the veal cutlets and it was the best he's ever had. I had the branzino which was good but quite dry. I think if it had an actual light lemon type sauce it would make it easier to eat. We also got the Mac and cheese which almost didn't make it but our server made it happen! We got the chocolate torte to go and holy moly that was so good. Also, can't forget the calamari, it's a must have. That dip was divine! We also loved the antipasto that came while we were looking at the menu and it was such a great twist from the usual bread service cause it was light. All in all, we loved it and we will be back and we hope the hostess is a different person when we do come back!

We sat outside in the evening shade for a nice gathering. We shared the Cuban Caesar salad with romaine, manchego cheese, sliced pears, toasted pepitas, masa croutons, avocado, fried plantain chips and Aji amarillo Caesar. The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

If you're doing a celebration, they give you a small box of four chocolate truffles. The parking garage nearby is free. Highlights: I think Pinyon is a top restaurant in the valley for sure. I've been here twice, but I have very little complaints with the food. My favorites are the chicken skewers which are so tender and juicy and I love the lentil rice that comes with it. The shareable hummusiya platter is really fun. I usually like to get one hummus, the baba ghanoush and the pistachio labneh if they have it. The lobster salad is also really refreshing and delicious. I love the variety of foods that's offered here. The service is also exceptional and they are so kind and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and they let us bring in a cake and were so on top of bringing us extra cutlery and dishes and even keeping the box for us in case we had leftovers. Lowlights: It's definitely a spendier meal than usual - I would come for celebrations and not just a casual dinner. I think the least worth it items are the patatas bravas because you only get six, the chicken schnitzel because it's a very small portion, the shashuka was overwhelmingly salty. Sadly, our oysters did have sand and some shell pieces in them.
