It feels like a lot of Scottsdale restaurants have a great atmosphere, but the service doesn't always live up to it. Moxies is one of the few places that gets both right. Maral took care of our table and made the whole night fun. She was on top of everything, had a great sense of humor, and made us feel like she actually wanted us there. The managers even came by to check on us, which you don't see very often. The tuna sushi stack and steak salad are both a must!!! We'll definitely be back, thankfully I work close by. read more

I don't rate many spots 5 stars, and never expected to give a restaurant in a mall one but, wow. The service was on point, they have so many people there to help. You never have to wait. Super cool vibe, though still not sure about their "I will if you will" slogan, but sounds fun! This is not a steakhouse. Came here after a day of shopping. Luckily we found a spot at the bar so we didn't have to wait long. The couple next to us told us the hostess tried to convince them to sit outside (it was 115° and no one was sitting on the patio lol). I ordered the tuna stack which was good but small- the mango was refreshing but definitely could've had more rice and tuna. My friend got the steak salad which was quite the portion size and she really enjoyed the dressing it came with. Always a great experience when we eat here. The staff and management work really hard for their guests to have a great and memorable experience. This time around our future daughter in law had specific dietary restrictions which limited her to what she could eat. Ella the manager went out of her way to make sure she was able to eat something from the menu and worked with the kitchen on the meal. They went well above and beyond expectations. What a great lunch my husband and I had. Lucky for us it was Wine Wednesday where bottles are half price all day! We were super excited about the plant based options so we tried both the Zen Mushroom bowl and tofu lettuce wraps. Such great flavor, well balanced and all the veggies were cooked to perfection. At first we thought the mushrooms in the bowl were steak, but they were just super meaty mushrooms. Yum and thank you for having vegan menu options. Our server was fantastic, attentive and friendly. 3.5 Being accessible from inside Fashion Square and opening earlier than 12 noon were two of the reasons we chose this place. Did it deliver? For the most part, it did. As a well-rated restaurant, the decor was modern and clean, the service was excellent, and the overall vibe was positive. However, we all know we also go to restaurants for the food. We ordered the tuna sushi stack, the steak salad, and the chicken Madeira rigatoni. Ranking them from favorite to least favorite, the steak salad was at the top. The steak was cooked perfectly, and you could really taste how fresh the vegetables were. The rigatoni came in second. I intentionally left the chicken off the name because, in my opinion, it did not add much to the dish. If it had been fried, it might have added a nice textural contrast with a crispy coating. That said, the sauce was good, and I would not mind having it again if I find myself back in Scottsdale and at Moxies. The sushi tuna sushi stack, however, was a letdown. The rice was undercooked, and the prawn cracker lacked flavor. Being Asian, we are familiar with how shrimp or prawn crackers should taste,and these did not deliver. Would I recommend Moxies? They truly make you feel taken care of. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It's super chic and modern almost like a little fashion show every time you walk in. People are dressed up, socializing, and enjoying themselves, but at the same time, you can absolutely come casual and still feel comfortable. I came in a little skeptical after browsing the menu because what do you mean there's avocado toast with sour cream?? Theirs also steak, burgers, chicken, and sushi? Menus that try to do everything usually tell me food isn't the main focus. We visited for brunch, and since breakfast is always my first meal of the day, I went for something classic: the Southwest omelet and a cappuccino. The coffee was excellent, but the omelet missed the mark. The bacon inside was burnt, and the cheese didn't add any flavor. On the bright side, the home fries were stellar! Perfectly crunchy and the fresh fruit was beautifully presented. The guava cosmo, however, was a letdown; it didn't taste like guava at all. Service was on the slower side, especially when it came time for the check. The atmosphere, though, is definitely the star of the show. The space is bright with lots of natural light, great for large parties, and the big bar area with plenty of TVs makes it perfect for watching a game. It can work for a casual date too. First time trying Moxie's last night and I have no idea how I've never come in prior to last night! My girlfriend and I are both gluten free and they have a gluten conscious menu with plenty of different options available. We started with the lychee cocktails which were delicious! I got the blackened chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun and it was yummy. My friends bowl was also delicious and she throughly enjoyed it. Always have the best time at Moxies! The service is always great, the food comes out perfect, and the drinks are perfection. This was my first time coming for brunch. I came with my aunt who was visiting from Texas and loves good restaurants and she was very impressed by moxies. We started off with some prosecco for mimosas and got the crab dip to share. AMAZING! I could've been satisfied with just that! The dip was very meaty and had a great balance. The bread was also crispy and soft at the same time. I had the Benedict with the white cheddar and pancetta (I believe). I ate the entire plate. It was the perfect amount I'd food and didn't feel too heavy. I love Moxies! Second time dining here and everything was delicious. We shared the spicy tuna roll which was different and full of flavor. Cesar salad was great too! Luckily there is a lot right in front, and I found parking quickly. This place has a nice contemporary feel. There is a bar with seating all around, and booths on either side. There are also some high top tables. And lots of wine bottles on display in a cooler and on the wall. I love the lighting fixtures here. We decided to split our appetizer and entree, and ordered: *Red Sangria *Rose Sangria *Hot Baked Crab Dip *Salmon and Avocado salad Both the cocktails and good were great. Came here for a company-sponsored dinner and wasn't disappointed! This restaurant is located near Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Fashion Square. One downside is that the parking right outside of this restaurant is inconvenient - it's kind of tight. Otherwise, you're able to park at the various parking garages nearby if you're willing to walk. It seems very new/trendy and seems very popular. Our waitress, Maya (?) did a great job at serving our big party and was very attentive. Mainly had appetizers. Absolute favorite appetizer was the tuna sushi stack! Good serving of fish and the seaweed outside of the sushi is also fried and flavorful! The steak bites were also scrumptious, but definitely a bit chewier for those who like their steaks super soft. I also really liked the cashew chicken lettuce wraps, but the chicken was a little bit dry. However, it comes with a lot of seasoned vegetables. They'll give you a mile high mocha ice cream cake with sparklers if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Some of my party ordered drinks as well and had good things to say. The food has been consistently delicious, and it's a great stop for lunch when shopping in the mall. The staff, besides being model attractive, are on point and always helpful. I was looking for a place with a nice atmosphere that can accommodate a variety of food preferences and turns out Moxies was a great choice. The vibe is modern, upscale sports bar, with sparkly chandeliers, LED-lit walls backed by greenery and flowers, with families and groups of girls dining before a night out on the town alike. I'll admit that I wasn't sure of Moxies target demographic. Our server was lovely, helpfully answered my question about the burger sauce and was generally very attentive without being intrusive. Onto the food-everything was very solid and well-executed. I ordered the burger in a lettuce wrap and fries. When I asked for it without cheese, I appreciated that the server asked me if I have an allergy. Overall, I've been so impressed with how Scottsdale handles folks with food allergies, as dairy is a real issue for me. The burger was solid- piled high with a massive lettuce wrap, which looked like a whole head of lettuce cut in half, tons of dill pickles (yum!), the burger since, tomatoes and onions. It was tasty, but a little dry even though I ordered it medium rare. The kiddo went with the hot chicken sandwich with french fries, which he reports was good and he finished the whole thing. My husband went with the linguini bolognese, with homemade noodles, beef ragu and grana padano cheese and a ciabatta baguette, which he also finished and reported was very good. Moxies was a very pleasant dining experience, and I expect we'll be back. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Fashion Square Area. read more

Date night at Moxies I use to frequent Moxies in the Dallas area so I've been to a few and never a bad time , always good vibes , service, drinks, and food. I always start with their calamari so I most certainly did this night and my visit to this location did not disappoint at all. Love this place but very sad with the menu changes. My husband and I always come to get steak bites, lettuce wraps and curry. It's the perfect meal to share. Today however, after ordering food and drinks sitting at the bar, the bartender required a credit card to hold open a tab (first time this has happened). Did I just have a flashback to being 25 and at Wasted Grain or Dirk Bentley's where there was a risk of running out on my tab. Unbelievably tacky for Moxies. Oddly, no card is required when sitting at a table only at the bar. When I spoke with the manager, who was very polite and professional, he said this was at night and when crowded, although bar seating was 60% open. I wouldn't except Moxies to act like a low end Scottsdale club, but there you have it. I'll still go back, but guess next time I'll grab a table instead of sitting at the bar. read more

My girlfriend took our beaus here for a double date. We came on a Sat night without reservations (lol) so it was an hour wait. No biggie. We went to the bar and had drinks and apps. I got the Bombay peach lemonade and the others got drinks as well. We also got the chicken potstickers and chips & guac. SO GOOD!!! Christian was our bartender and was fast and pleasant. We used our leftover chips from the other appetizer to eat the leftover sauce of the potstickers! We got the guac without feta bc my girlfriend is vegan. The chips had tahin on them. I got the blackened shrimp tacos -very good - I appreciate that they gave me 5 shrimps so I had a shrimp in every bite. We came in for dinner on a sat night with our dogs on their dog friendly patio. The vibe is super cute and trendy- lots of big beautiful heat lamps. We each tried several of their martinis and they were definitely fruity and delicious- the Lycee was delicious (almost too good as it went down too quickly). We shared the nachos which were HUGE but delicious (I love a good plate of nachos and these definitely hit the spot).
