Zen mushroom Vegan plant based
Lori A.

What a great lunch my husband and I had. Lucky for us it was Wine Wednesday where bottles are half price all day! We were super excited about the plant based options so we tried both the Zen Mushroom bowl and tofu lettuce wraps. Such great flavor, well balanced and all the veggies were cooked to perfection. At first we thought the mushrooms in the bowl were steak, but they were just super meaty mushrooms. Yum and thank you for having vegan menu options. Our server was fantastic, attentive and friendly. And the ambiance is incredible. Such a beautiful restaurant. I can't give enough praise.

This was our second time at Moxies in Scottsdale, and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely amazing everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the steak salad to the pasta and burgers, every dish felt elevated but still comforting. The service was excellent. Attentive, friendly, and professional without feeling rushed. They truly make you feel taken care of. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It's super chic and modern almost like a little fashion show every time you walk in. People are dressed up, socializing, and enjoying themselves, but at the same time, you can absolutely come casual and still feel comfortable. It strikes that perfect balance between fancy and relaxed. If you're coming with kids, the portions on the kids meals are very generous, which we really appreciated. Overall, it's a place that feels both comfortable and upscale perfect for date night, girls' night, or a family dinner. We'll definitely be back again!

First time trying Moxie's last night and I have no idea how I've never come in prior to last night! My girlfriend and I are both gluten free and they have a gluten conscious menu with plenty of different options available. We started with the lychee cocktails which were delicious! I got the blackened chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun and it was yummy. My friends bowl was also delicious and she throughly enjoyed it. We finished off with a mocha icecream cake for my birthday and it was HUGE but delish! I will definitely be back to explore more options on the menu. Our server was super sweet and helpful with suggestions. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating of our gluten/celiac allergy.

Great place in the area of the mall in Scottsdale! Very good restaurants in the area. This one did not disappoint. Very casual cool vibe. Service was great plenty of TVs. If you wanna watch the game great spot to go with groups and the food was excellent small menu, but it was perfect for a casual night.

This restaurant is located at fashion square mall in Scottsdale. I pick this place out for my friend & I because she is VEGAN. Upon arriving I was standing for a while until someone finally noticed me to check me in. I've made reservations on Open Table prior. Once check in I was finally able to sit down. It is a clean atmosphere. Everything is lively. Food taste was ok. My son didn't like the spicy tuna rolls. But my friend she loved her vegan lettuce wrap.

I came in a little skeptical after browsing the menu because what do you mean there's avocado toast with sour cream?? Theirs also steak, burgers, chicken, and sushi? Menus that try to do everything usually tell me food isn't the main focus. We visited for brunch, and since breakfast is always my first meal of the day, I went for something classic: the Southwest omelet and a cappuccino. The coffee was excellent, but the omelet missed the mark. The bacon inside was burnt, and the cheese didn't add any flavor. On the bright side, the home fries were stellar! Perfectly crunchy and the fresh fruit was beautifully presented. The guava cosmo, however, was a letdown; it didn't taste like guava at all. Service was on the slower side, especially when it came time for the check. The atmosphere, though, is definitely the star of the show. The space is bright with lots of natural light, great for large parties, and the big bar area with plenty of TVs makes it perfect for watching a game. It can work for a casual date too. Overall: gorgeous space, great cappuccino, but the food and drinks need a bit more focus.

Went with my 2 grands and daughter so we all nibbled on everyone's dish. Delicious food! Outstanding service and a really great vibe. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The ramen was top notch and there was plenty to share. Spicy shrimp tacos were excellent! Mahi steak sandwich was so flavorful and fresh. Fries were fresh, hot, thick and very tasty. I'm in Prescott but will definitely go again! Worth the drive.

Always have the best time at Moxies! The service is always great, the food comes out perfect, and the drinks are perfection. This was my first time coming for brunch. I came with my aunt who was visiting from Texas and loves good restaurants and she was very impressed by moxies. We started off with some prosecco for mimosas and got the crab dip to share. AMAZING! I could've been satisfied with just that! The dip was very meaty and had a great balance. The bread was also crispy and soft at the same time. I had the Benedict with the white cheddar and pancetta (I believe). I ate the entire plate. It was the perfect amount I'd food and didn't feel too heavy. We ended with liquid desserts (espresso martini) and would definitely come back.

I love Moxies! Second time dining here and everything was delicious. We shared the spicy tuna roll which was different and full of flavor. Cesar salad was great too! I tried the French dip sandwhich - sooo good. The pretzel bun was phenomenal and the au jus was perfect. My dad got the blackened shrimp tacos and my mom got the chicken madeira rigatoni. They both enjoyed their food. We sat outside this time and it was lovely. Service was great. The waiters were attentive even in their busy atmosphere which I love.

At first I wasn't too thrilled to see that this place was at Scottsdale Fashion Square, as it always seems like too much work to park. Luckily there is a lot right in front, and I found parking quickly. This place has a nice contemporary feel. There is a bar with seating all around, and booths on either side. There are also some high top tables. And lots of wine bottles on display in a cooler and on the wall. I love the lighting fixtures here. We decided to split our appetizer and entree, and ordered: *Red Sangria *Rose Sangria *Hot Baked Crab Dip *Salmon and Avocado salad Both the cocktails and good were great. I love when they ask how you want your salmon cooked, and it was cooked perfectly. The bacon was super crisp. Our server was good, and along with good food, good cocktails, and good ambiance, this place is a winner!

Delicious appetizer menu! Not only great tasting, but great size portions for a group to share etc.! The decor is beautiful and there are great spots to sit! The service is friendly and accommodating. We had drinks and appetizers during our visit. The lettuce wraps were very good! Love the crispy wontons! The baked crap dip is to die for! So delicious! The steak bites were also yummy but they do need the creamy sauce for it to really be spectacular. Alone, the steak bites were good but the sauce makes them outstanding! I had their margarita which was amazing as well! We didn't go during happy hour, but I snagged a photo of the menu for your viewing pleasure! Definitely will be back! Great food!

Freakin' Spencer! I was sitting at a big table for 20 after asking for a table for two. Here comes Spencer the security telling me to get up because they have a big group with a reservation. I was still eating and enjoying my drinks. Why would you sit me there if you know you have a reservation for that table. Come on Spence. The burger was dry af and I asked for medium rare. Burnt bacon and the old fashion is mid, don't get it. Never again!

Came here for a company-sponsored dinner and wasn't disappointed! This restaurant is located near Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Fashion Square. One downside is that the parking right outside of this restaurant is inconvenient - it's kind of tight. Otherwise, you're able to park at the various parking garages nearby if you're willing to walk. It seems very new/trendy and seems very popular. Our waitress, Maya (?) did a great job at serving our big party and was very attentive. Mainly had appetizers. Absolute favorite appetizer was the tuna sushi stack! Good serving of fish and the seaweed outside of the sushi is also fried and flavorful! The steak bites were also scrumptious, but definitely a bit chewier for those who like their steaks super soft. I also really liked the cashew chicken lettuce wraps, but the chicken was a little bit dry. However, it comes with a lot of seasoned vegetables. They'll give you a mile high mocha ice cream cake with sparklers if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Some of my party ordered drinks as well and had good things to say. I'll have to come back for actual entrees!

Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.

The staff didn't make excuses. They owned it immediately, were incredibly genuine, attentive, and went above and beyond to turn things around. By the end of the meal, not only were we glad we stayed, but it became one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in a long time. The biggest reason for that was our waiter, Cru. Absolute professional. Personable, attentive, thoughtful, and somehow managed to make us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant despite how busy things were. Great service is easy when everything runs perfectly, but it's worth acknowledging that what Cru did was much harder. He completely changed the energy of the night through pure hospitality and effort. On top of that, his recommendations for food were spot on and exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, atmosphere was great, but the way the team handled adversity and recovered is what deserves recognition. Mistakes happen anywhere. The response is what matters, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. Cru deserves all the credit in the world. As well as the entire staff and management. I will be back, without a doubt.

The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

The lounge itself is absolutely stunning. They have an indoor space that is beautifully decorated with lots of different seating options. They have an open air concept with one side open to the rooftop pool deck. The bartenders and staff were scantily clad which definitely had gentleman hanging at the bar too long. That meant long waits to get a drink. For a place that looks so upscale, I was disappointed in the drinks. Online they talk about a next level mixology experience and that was not our experience.
