My boyfriend and I have been trying to get into this particular location for a while now and often drive by it--only to see a long line. Two days ago, we finally attempted to make a visit. We waited outside for about 30 minutes with the sun beaming down on us when it was 80 degrees out. The staff was friendly and engaging but asked every single person in line what they were looking for---when we were at the front of the line. I understand that they're taking extra precautions during COVID, which I appreciate--especially being that I work in healthcare. However, they are going beyond extreme measures and only letting x amount of people do do one thing and x amount of people to do another (they also encourage you to wear gloves). The lady in charge of the capacity line, kept walking away and helping the others in line, bringing out bikes and stepping away, and going into the service center. There was a moment that they lady was gone for a good ten minutes. We were being extremely patient, the lady was not paying attention and we noticed that 6 people left the store. The lady didn't even seem to acknowledge how long we have been waiting and we eventually just left because no one let us in. Apparently they encourage you to set up an appointment, let you cut the line for those people who were there first, and discourage 'browsing' around and would rather you have your eyes set on a 'specific item'. We were just trying to look at snowboard accessories. Evo needs to work on the logistics of their COVID precautions because it's not really working. I even saw two others leave the line because it took so long. read more

Absolutely wonderful staff and wonderful gear. I'm decently new at snowboarding so when I come here to rent the staff is always extremely helpful and make the process as painless as possible. The boards I have rented from them are awesome, I've gotten a lot of compliments on them **If you are renting on a weekend, their website only lets you book an appt for 4pm but you can actually show up anytime after 12pm. To be honest I would have given it a one star based on how hard it was to get into and even when I did I found out I needed to go down and around, over the river and through the woods to get to the service shop all while carrying a bike. Once I got there, I found a true diamond in the rough. The staff opened the door for me, carried my bike up the stairs ( not sure why a bike shop doesn't have a better way to get bikes up the stairs). Either way, the staff was amazing. The tech was super knowledgeable and even fixed my bike while talking to me. I didn't catch his actual name, but I think the staff was calling him "Fish" or something similar. I am new to the area and will be using this shop instead of the others that I have been to thus far. I hope the construction gets squared away to make it easier to access this awesome group of people. read more

We were visiting Stevens Pass for the new year and needed gear. We got 2 snowboard packages and insurance costing a pretty penny. The worker was helpful when sharing about the slopes. But he struggled with my husbands board and he had to take out a tool to tighten something. The next day we get to the resort and take a moderate first lift. My husband was complaining his ankle was going to break. We strap in and go down our first hill and his entire binding fell off! Mind you we just put this on for the first just minutes before. We had to climb up hill to the lift. He had to chair down and go to the repair shop, then beg to rent a new board costing again a pretty penny. Walk the broken board and binding back to the car and gear up before hitting our first run. It is now noon and almost half our ski day is done because of Evo mistake of giving a broken board. The lock was broken from the start and the worker tried to work around it. This situation could have been much worse. It was super irresponsible to give a customer damaged gear. We returned the boards today and requested a refund for the board. We paid insurance and would pay for the boots. They refused. The worker spoke with us and then went back to speak to someone higher up. I heard them laughing and saying it was our problem for leaving the store with it. Uh huh because we test out your boards before leaving the store. They pointed to no stated or posted sign that says no refunds and then offered for a store discount. No apology was offered. You lost some customers today EVO. Disappointed in your customer service and management of equipment. Grateful my husband walked away unharmed after using EVOs faulty equipment. The boot fitting experience for ski boots was amazing!! Reserve a 2 hour slot and a specialist is dedicated to you the entire time. They learn your needs & provide a plethora of options to try on all while spouting knowledge at you about each option. I never felt pressured & my specialist was always open to trying something else if I wasn't sure. He also helped me u depressant the best ski for my needs and intended future ski plans. I get very overwhelmed by the # of options out there today & not being able to stay on top of what's best. With Evo, I don't have to be b/c their team of experts are there to help. This GORPCORE outdoor goods shop is TIGHT! It is really awesome actually. It has curated all its finds for the outdoors..and it included wakeboards! It had awesome gorpcore that includes Patagonia, Hippy Tree, etc. It's got an interesting layout and it's a fun place to visit, but it's another window shopping store. I was traveling to Seattle for a few days and didn't want to bring my road or TT bike with me so I am so happy to have found Evo. Pre-trip, they were awesome to answer all my questions about the rental road bike from crank, chainring, cassette size. Once I got here, the bike pick-up was super easy and quick. They set me up with a wonderful rental and got me fitted so I could ride and train with ease. The bike has worked out great for what I needed (climbing / speed work). As a Team USA duathlete, it was important to maintain my training while visiting Seattle and thanks to Evo, I was able to just that! I will definitely use them next time I travel up here. My young grandson's birthday is coming up and I told his mom I'd find him his first skateboard. I'm an old guy and knew literally nothing about those things. I found Evo online and drove over, navigated the street construction, then into and through the fancy stuff on the main floor. A kindly staffer directed me downstairs to a very different (nicer weirder more basic real) environment. Gabe asked how she could help me and I told them about my quest for a beginner board. They were great--asked some questions about my grandson that it turns out would help in choosing the right size (complete) board. Gabe was patient, straightforward, clear and with a nice low-key sense of humor. I told her I had to check w the family and took some pictures to send to my daughter to help decide among 4-5 boards. Anyway, I went back today. Gabe was not there but Sergio was. And he was also great to talk with. He confirmed what I had been told about at my initial visit, and added more content and context. He helped me make the final decision and continued my education about this sport. It was a super process. I know that my purchase was not a big deal in financial terms. But it was a big deal to me--and it felt great to be helped in some really good ways. So thank you, Gabe and Sergio for your work with me. I really appreciated it. Dan helped me pick some options out and was very knowledgable through and through. Was super patient and answered all of my questions about bindings, boards, boots etc. Took the time time to make sure the boots fit just right, he heat molded, punched out the boot where it was a little off and double and triple checked that the boot I picked was the ONE. Very pleased with what I left the store with. I just went up with my new boots that I got and what a difference it made! Had the most comfortable day I've really ever had while boarding. Really well stocked shop with a super knowledgeable team. I worked with Greg on punching out my new ski boots and he was a miracle worker. He not only took the time to understand my foot, but he worked with me to get the boot in a really good spot -- advising me to ski it for a week and then come back if it still hurt. When I came back for the second fitting he took more time (even at the expense of his lunch break) to make a couple more punches for me. Greg is a master at his craft and incredibly knowledgeable, pragmatic, and fastidious. EvoSeattle will be my family and my go to spot for all our ski/boot needs. read more

This is a combination review for both the Seattle store and evo's customer service, who've gone above any reasonable expectation. I ordered a wide pair of last year's snowboard boots (a brand I hadn't ridden in before) on sale at the end of season. After the boots arrived, I called in a price match two times for a competitor's lower price, which was handled without issue. A couple of months ago I thought I'd get ahead of this upcoming season and make an appointment to get my new boots heat molded. This was also the first time I'd actually takes the boots out of my packaging. My mistake, as the boots inside the box weren't the wide variant (the box showed the correct wide size). I gave evo a call to explain the issue, and they ended up doing an exchange at no extra cost for this year's model of the same boot. I took those in for the heat molding, only to realize that they felt really tight across the top of my right foot. The fitting team worked with me for 2 hours while I tried on several other pairs of boots, before figuring out that the Sidas Winter 3 insoles for high arches provided the relief I was looking for. Unfortunately, their relative thinness compared to the original insoles resulted in the new boots feeling too long (no toes touching the front and noticeable heel lift). I gave customer service another call this past Friday, explained what happened, and asked for a half size down. Again, no problem, and the discounted price was applied. The boots were just delivered today (Sunday), and I'm finally ready to go. read more

This is a 2 parter review. The 2 star is in reference to the store side of Evo. I went in looking for a saddle for my Specialized bike. I realized quickly that Evo is new to the brand based on how dismissive they were that my bike wasn't a mountain bike. The staff was unaware that my bike was a cycle cross bike and expressed that I had a road bike and that I should talk to the shop about my conserns. I feel like the knowledge was lacking compared to the other shops in the area. The salesmen were nice and all, but once they knew I wasn't going to buy a bike, they were ready to get rid of me. I guess the service shop doesn't have a location separately, so I will put my 2nd part in this review. Once I got to the shop with recommendations that there was a guy that could size me and talk to me about fitting, my expectations weren't high. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked how I could be helped. Once I told them I was sent to see a guy about a bike saddle, they knew immediately who I was looking for. I never caught his name, but he came out with a stool and computer equipment to "pressure fit" me. Once he got my size figured out, he walked me through what that means and how I should shop for saddles. He didn't have the saddle I was looking for. However, he gave me a strip of plastic that was cut to my sit bone width and said that this is all I need to shop from now on. More people need to see this guy. Not only did he know exactly what my bike was, but he knew the saddle it came with. Truly a talent. Personally, I think this overshadowed the store experience, but I think these service guys should sell the bikes. read more

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Went in to purchase new gear. Staff was very unhelpful (with the exception of Grayson that helped me with my boots, good guy) and in some cases downright rude. It has been almost a month and my points and tier status are not correct. Orders that needed to be shipped never arrived. Orders were entered wrong by staff, not receiving point credits back for incorrect orders, ordered in even though in stock, etc, etc. I've reached out via chat, text, phone and email. Even contacting a store and district manager. Still nothing. They all say things will be corrected, then nothing..... I was even offered a gift card for all the trouble and I declined, stating I'm not looking for anything for free, just want what was promised by THEIR OWN program. Glad I didn't accept the offer, it probably never would've arrived anyway. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and not write this review. Reached out as many times as I could and was completely let down by every one I communicated with. Most unprofessional crew I've ever seen. Nobody seems to value customers. I ended up going to another major store for the remainder of our gear. One with a functional rewards system, streamlined processes and most importantly, quality staff. read more

They have great selection of skis and snowboard equipments. Their upstairs room is divided into two sections -- ski and snowboard. Each section has an online sign up waiting list and you can track it on your phone (how many people ahead of you). The employees helping you know their sports and you can rely on their recommendations. They don't get commission so you don't have to worry about getting sold an equipment that's not right for you. The downstairs is more of a mix of other retail items -- jackets and other outerwear, gloves, helmets, goggles, etc. They have an online store as well. I wish they have a brick and mortar store on the Eastside. read more

I don't understand why people complain about Customer Service. Andy Wilson was extremely helpful and patient and knowledgeable. I am a novice so I had unending questions about what brand, what features, what items to buy. I was in the store for at least 3 hours and his enthusiasm never wavered. I mentioned that I will be snowboarding in the East Coast and he suggested several options. He even helped me order online my helmet and my googles and create my Evo account. Evo even does price match for US manufactured items so I will keep coming to Evo now that I am starting to snowboard and it is an addictive sport! read more

My experience here at Evo was fantastic. I've been here many times to buy small items, or look around. This time however we bought a new snowboard setup, including board, boots and bindings. I snowboard a bunch, though am not as technically knowledgeable when it comes to board setup and specifics. This is where the staff at Evo comes in. In particular today Kayla helped us and was amazing. Originally the setup was purchased online for will call pickup. So we came down to the store to pickup, then headed upstairs for some help mounting the bindings and to see if any adjustments needed to be made for the boots. The boots were fine, but the originally purchased bindings were too big. Kayla helped choose some new binding which worked better with the boots. She mounted them quickly and helped us with the exchange. She definitely had great insight and advice, which was presented in an unbiased and professional manner.
