They are a sizable operation that can address any aspect of bike service, but Matt B and crew have consistently delivered friendly and personal service that has made a lifetime customer out of me. DON'T LET A BIKE GET STOLEN!! I rented several high end mountain bikes visiting my travel nurse GF in Seattle. I am an avid mountain biker and this was an awesome option for me rather than traveling with my bike. I enjoyed a great Orbea, shredded a rear tire at Duthie, they fixed it under their insurance policy and let me keep it another half day for the down time. Fast forward another trip to Seattle, another rental bike. I rented the same Orbea, but they were unboxing a BRAND NEW Santa Cruz Bronson. That caught my eye and I requested to rent that, I want to try a MX wheel bike. A few days later they called and offered me to rent this beautiful Santa Cruz Bronson. I took the Orbea back, snagged the Bronson and was on my way to Tiger Mountain. Man, that bike was great! The following day we took her bike (purchased from evo) my rental Bronson and went to Orcas island via Ferry. Bike lock and rack in full use and it was an excellent day. Loved the bike there, took great pictures from the summit at conservation mountain. Every night we got back to her place we would put the bikes INSIDE the closed and locked garage. That night, 2:15AM, some wonderful human broke into the garage and rode away with the bike... that brand new Santa Cruz Bronson under some lowlife that doesn't even deserve a 1996 huffy with rust. I have beautiful security camera footage of the guy breaking in and taking the bike. We didn't hear anything 4 stories above it in her apartment. We went straight to evo that morning to figure out what we can do. Police report, surveillance video, paid extra for insurance on the rental, nothing matters. I did not have any other options from them or anyone else, I now own a bike ($$$$) I can't even enjoy. And I still paid the full rental cost! Her renters insurance won't cover since I rented it, same story for property owners insurance. American Express won't cover "any vehicles". SOL is my name now and the SOB with (what is now MY) Bronson is lucky. Needless to say, would recommend renting a bike from here... just be VERY CAREFUL. I have to sell my bike at home to cover as much of this bike cost as possible, a real punch in the nuts. read more

ridiculous！bought a burton step on medium size, brought it with me all the way to whistler, and when I was installing it , and try to put the boots in, it didn't fit. And I finally noticed it's the wrong size, it's actually a small. The box says medium, sticker on binding says medium, but at the bottom, i see it's actually a small. Ruined my vacation! Gave my partners skis for waxing at this store, came one day later than the pick up date and it still wasn't ready! We waited almost 30+ minutes in line because there was literally just one guy manning the counter only to find out that our skis were not done yet. I lived in this area years ago and would run past this shop all the time but wouldn't step foot into EVO because honestly, I knew I could not afford to even breathe the air in this place. Fast forward to me 6 years later living my post graduate life, and newfound passion to get good enough on a snowboard to do tricks... We came in this store to get my boyfriend a snowboard because the new one we just got at REI was too clunky to maneuver. (he's been snowboarding for 10+ years on the same board and needed a new one). Brittany was SO helpful and kind. She got him fitted for a pair of BOA boots, and gave a lot of useful tips for choosing a snowboard. Beginner snowboarder here. My hubby and I needed gear from the ground up. We had nothing. So we discovered evo online and was super excited to see they had a brick and mortar in Seattle. Yay! The vibe is super chill and friendly. Every single employee we saw was smiling and laughing, helping customers and acting genuinely interested in what they were doing. It was pretty awesome. Their boot area upstairs is pretty cool. You sign in on a clipboard and browse around. Then someone yells for you when they are finished with their current customer and then you get them one on one. We were lucky enough to get the most awesome chick ever and I loved her! But we're morons so we both forgot her name -drools- She was so sweet and knowledgeable and she gave us great advice and tips as baby beginners. We tried on multiple boots and spent a good chunk of time doing so. We were NEVER rushed. Even though they were closing pretty quick. In fact, she told us it was so nice having such cool customers to end the night. Awwww, shucks~ We are planning on going back this week for helmets and I hope we see our no named lady again to chat and get more great help I'm getting the best gear. My brother introduced me to this place last year and I absolutely love it! The employees are incredibly helpful and the atmosphere is so welcoming. My review is for the Evo store in Seattle, the Sumner warehouse and their customer service support line. Evo Seattle store 5/5: I went in there to buy my first ever pair of snowboarding boots. Mind you, I live I Puyallup! I enjoyed the way this store made me feel welcome when I first stopped in with my brother a year ago that I decided it was going to be my go-to store for my snowboarding gear over REI. They made sure I got the perfect pair that fit and proceeded to do a heat treatment on my boots. They answered every single question I had as I am brand new to snowboarding and even helped me with accessories. They referred to me by name during my time there as I shopped around for new gear. Evo Sumner warehouse 5/5: I placed an order online and selected delivery to the Summer warehouse for pick up. By golly that order was ready for pick up in 2 days!!! 2 days y'all!! With zero charge to ship there. I also only live 13 minutes away from it so for me it was ideal. There was one staff member working who was providing excellent service to a customer ahead of me who was looking at getting some new pow gear. She made a moment to pause and get my order from will call and even said I could try on my items before leaving. Customer service support line 5/5: I placed an order during their cyber Monday online deals and missed the option to ship to their warehouse. I paid through PayPal so it automatically inserted my shipping information and I thought that maybe they didn't offer the Sumner pickup on the item I purchased but I just overlooked that option by mistake. 11/30 I placed the order and on 12/01 I get an email that it's ready for shipment via UPS. on 12/03 I decided to check the status of my packages and noticed that my Evo order shows delivered on 12/02. I received 2 packages that day but not the one from UPS. I check my mailbox and the front office of my apartment complex and still no package. 12/4 I call UPS and find out my building number didn't print on their tags for delivery but since it was marked as delivered at front door by the driver, I was SOL and needed to reach out to EVO to file a claim. I call the EVO customer service and I am on hold for less than 5 minutes before a bubbly representative answers. I let her know what happened and she immediately states they will make it right and get another one on its way to me. I ask if they can have it go to their Sumner warehouse and sure thing, she gets it set up for will call there. I spent maybe 5 minutes total talking to her to get my whole problem resolved. That is the most efficient and positive customer service experience I've ever had when dealing with a missing package. read more

Seattle area customer that has been an evo devotee for a number of years buying skis, snowboards and other gear both online and in the store. My wife needed new boots for the upcoming season so we booked an appointment and started on the journey. Drove to the Seattle store and spent 90 minutes with Jarrett looking at different options. Cold feet, even with toe warmers, was a big consideration. We ended up with K2 Anthem boots with the Lux Pro Thermic heated liners. A few weeks passed until we had our next appointment for the fitting. Back to the store and worked with Cooper for about 2 hours to get them right. Everything is looking good at this point. Unfortunately, we hit a speed bump. The techie in me knew that testing the heating capability, prior to arriving at the Stevens Pass parking lot, was the right thing to do. Hooked it all up and after 14 hours on the charger, no heat. Thankfully, Haley picked up the phone this morning when I called evo. She grabbed a pair of the boots and walked me through the steps, of which I missed a couple. Fingers crossed that we'll be a go after a few hours. Thanks to the team at evo for continuing to be a shining example of service in the PNW ski and snowboard scene. read more

Hell yes. If you like winter sports this is the place for you. I don't know how this wasn't more obvious to me before, but Evo is one of the largest ski/snowboard retailers in the country. So aside from their incredible Seattle based store, they have a massive collection of gear online. It's especially worth your time to check their clearance tabs and look for items that were new from the previous few seasons. The discounts run deep and since hopefully you're in Seattle, it's easy to pick up your items that you order online right from their storefront. My boyfriend treated me to skis, boots, poles and bindings for Christmas and he was smart enough to shop for things that came out last season. My boots were extremely cheap but they're gorgeous, they're brand new, and I got to go to Evo with him to check them out and try them on. In fact, their website is so handy that he was able to buy me all of my ski equipment in secret because they have really useful sizing info. Who knew he could pick out ski boots that would fit me perfectly? When we came in to pick everything up and try things on the customer service folks were awesome. We had to visit two different departments for these various transactions and everyone we encountered was really helpful and reassuring. I've used the skis/boots/poles a few times now and they're the best set I've ever owned. My boyfriend is wanting new boots for skiing next year and I wouldn't consider going any place else! read more

All of the times I have visited EVO everyone has been super friendly and helpful and gives me honest advice on gear without trying to sell me stuff out of my budget. Last week I went in knowing nothing about skateboards, but looking for one for a gift. Philip was a terrific help and walked me through the build process from start to finish. Evo has knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. They take the time to really fit you into boots and have a handy check-in & call your name process that makes the whole process run smoothly. If you need to make a return, that's easy peasy as well. So, why 3 stars, you ask? Well, here's the rub. The sales guy/boot fitter was so focused on getting me into the 100% highest performance package for my dollar, I just don't think he listened well to who I was or made good suggestions for what I should do. After an hour + of clomping around in boots so painful I thought I might pass out (and from which I still had sore toes several days later) the store was shutting down and I felt like I was under the gun to make a decision. I was under a bit of a time crunch as we were heading out Friday and I really wanted to bring my new gear-- since I had to order from their warehouse and deliveries only come every several days and then it would take them a day or two to get my binding set, it was "now or never". So, I placed an order and decided to think about it. The reality was, I was worried the skis he suggested were too advanced for me and I couldn't imagine myself getting through 1 entire day of skiing in those incredibly painful boots, let alone 5 entire days, after which he promised less pain (but said I'd like just have to deal with numb feet and at least some pain-- welcome to skiing). I woke up the next morning and just didn't feel good about the $1k I'd just spent. So, I went to another shop and worked with another fitter, who listened to the kind of skier I am and put me in more comfy, less hardcore performance based, boots & skiis and so far, I'm really happy. read more

The knowledgeable and caring employees are the reason I come back. I bought a set of snowboard bindings from Evo once and they broke the first time I used them (manufacturer defect, not Evo's fault). I had a trip planned to go snowboarding and because they didnt have the replacement in store I was worried I would miss it. Instead one of the employees (Landon I believe) allowed me to use his personal bindings so that I was able to keep my plans. While Evo may not always the cheapest option around (though sometimes they are!), I'm more than happy to spend an extra 10 bucks to get the top quality service that they consistently provide. Do yourself a favor and stop in and you'll see what sets this place apart from the rest. read more

I wouldn't recommend going to Evo unless they have revamped their sales staff from last winter. Staff was either not very attentive or super sarcastic with a side of eye-roll. I haven't purchased a ton of things from Evo, but the things I have, have been in the couple hundred dollar and up range. I'm not a big fan of spending more than chump change and feeling like junk for doing so. The last straw for me was last winter when a pair of snowboard bindings, that I just bought, had broke after only a few uses. I brought in the broken part(thinking they could just fix it) and was met with one of many eye-rolls. Even better than that, the associate said something along the lines of, "The broken ratchet still seems to hold well." as he handed the part back. Yeah, it holds alright, but it doesn't ratchet. The associate acted like he was doing me a favor and was so put out for talking to me about why I should just deal with defective merchandise. I ended up leaving and just sending the part back to Flow myself. From now on, I'll just deal with REI and SnowCon. read more

I walked into Evo today, they were mildly Busy, no one asked if I needed help or talked to me, I had multiple employees of this company walk past me like I was a ghost! I finally found one of the multiple workers that was standing around if I could get fitted for ski boots, they said there was a month wait time. I politely asked if I could try on a couple pairs on my own and they sternly said no you can't, I told them that it doesn't say anything about a month wait for fittings or anything at all about appointments for ski boot fittings, the guy rolled his eyes and started helping another costumer! Multiple works weren't fitting people and multiple stations were open! Long story short if you want ski boots or anything ski related take your business else where it's not worth the hassle or the drive. read more

Came in to get myself a new pair of snowboard boots and was helped by Drew. I could quickly tell he was very knowledgeable. He immediately noticed my unique footshape characteristics and made recommendations on what we could do about them. From trying multiple boots, to finding the right insoles, to ordering a specific pair they didn't have in-store, over two days he probably spent a good 2-3 hours helping me and making sure I got the perfect fit. I've been snowboarding for ~5 years now and this was by far the most pleasant and helpful experience I've had. This was my first impromptu visit to Evo Seattle and I was genuinely impressed. The atmosphere was what I had imagined, staff was friendly and attentive, and I walked out with the best boot fitting, size of ski, and accessories thanks to Kyle. The customer service we received was on point! I was kept informed of when I was going to be seen, even grabbed a quick bite to eat and I felt their attention to detail was top notch. Kyle answered all my questions and then some. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything even though I did buy boots, bindings, skis, and socks. After my ski boots got stolen I unfortunately had to come back sooner than i would've liked to, but once again I'm reminded why I love Evo for all my ski gear! I spent 3 hours at the store, but luckily the first pair I tried on was perfect! (Thank you, Bates!!) Then I got custom footbeds made and my boot liners heated and shaped to my feet.
