Came across this coffee shop by chance and so glad I did! Super cute, great lighting, wonderful aesthetic inside, and delicious matcha latte!! Would highly recommend getting the matcha latte with oat milk. They have a cute little nook next to a bookshelf with a commendable selection of books. Matcha, the flavor itself, hits for some people and misses for others. Personally, it's a big win for me if done properly. The flavor can be at times far too subtle for me in some drinks and foods, causing me to feel like I'm tasting something bland as opposed to the vegetal bitterness I've come to enjoy from quality matcha. Thankfully, Evolve Coffee and Matcha in Metairie gets it right. Upon walking in, you're exposed to a modern, warm dining area, with classic tunes from the 2000s playing in the background. There's one area with a leather sofa and a coffee table in front of it, and another very unique space with a mini library surrounding a table and two chairs. While I do wish the space was a bit bigger, it was a comforting one. The matcha, as I said before, was great, albeit, not as warm as I had hoped, and the food options were pretty limited, being mostly an assortment of muffins and a couple sandwiches. I was satisfied with my experience in the end, though, and I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid matcha fix out and stylish place to do work. read more

I loveeee this spot and all their matcha/specialty drink options! My favorite is the lavender matcha latte. I'm picky about matcha and theirs is high-quality and yummy. They have coffee and rotate fun seasonal drinks too! Decently quiet, so I like to study here, but they don't have too many tables, so definitely snag a spot quickly if you see one! First of all coffee + matcha shop in the name drew me in. I ordered the 16 oz ceremonial hot matcha . It's just as I expected! Not many places especially coffee shops do it this way without it being a sugar laden latte concoction of some sort. They have those wonderful options too! Just refreshing to see ! Had a gap between running an errand and a zoom meeting, so figured I would finally have time to stop in here. It's been on my list for a while, but I'm not always in the area. BUT their coffee is good enough to be a destination spot! Everyone was very friendly, and the atmosphere is well lit and inviting. It's a bit on the smaller side, so I can it getting crowded during certain times of the day. But I was able to find a good spot that fit my laptop along with breakfast. I ordered an Iced Honey Lavender Latte with an Egg & Cheese Biscuit. The latte was so delicious! Unique coffee experience for sure, which I appreciate - but also delicious enough for me to order again ... and often. The breakfast biscuit was good, too; they served it on a plate, and provided a fork ??? BUT they know I'd need it! I stopped here one day after I read that the pumpkin spice coffee was phenomenal. I walked in and the lady behind the counter greeted me and smiled. I ordered the large pumpkin spice latte, hot with extra whipping cream. While I waited for my delicious beverage to be made, I noticed the interior. Inside there were a few people drinking coffee. A table of older folks just laughing and having fun, in fact one cracked at joke at me all in light hearted fun. There was also a woman in the corner that appeared to be working using her laptop and the free wifi. In total there was about 5 tables and a stand holding Evolve's different flavored coffees and some mugs for sale. My coffee-to-go was complete and I paid in cash. She recommended I sign up for their rewards program and I did using my phone number. I think you get a free coffee after purchasing 5 or 10. I left the shop and headed on my way. I tasted it and it was pretty amazing. I do love me some Starbucks PSL, but this is not only better, it is also local. The flavors in the drink didn't seem uber sugary, it was simple and pleasant with sure-ified flavors of the fall. Love this place - like a piece of Chicago in Metairie. The lavender matcha latte was incredible. I'd had lavender lattes before but never with matcha tea. The barista was super friendly and knowledgeable. She said most people work remotely there and there was even an amazing little nook with one table and one seat like a cubicle. There's a bookshelf with books as one of the walls and an epic quote on the wall. I can't wait to go back and do some writing there. read more

Needed a spot to kill some time before an appointment and found Evolve through my Yelp search. This spot is tucked away off of Causeway in a shopping strip. If you weren't looking for it, you'd pass it up. The inside is super cute and giving all the right vibes for a coffee shop where you can come and spend a little time. They make great use of the space and having a few seating options. I was stoked to see their bench style seating along the wall because they had outlets at the bottom. I always feel so awkward looking for a place to plug-up at other shops, but Evolve thought ahead and made it easy. They use Mojo coffee for their beverages, so if you're a fan of their roasts you should enjoy the drinks. If you've been following me for a while you know I love coffee shops, but am not a big coffee drinker. I got my usual chai latte and I have no complaints. They also have matcha for all of those that enjoy the green elixir. I saw that they had a few sweet and savory bites, so the next time I visit and have more time to hang I may give one a try. read more

They have a decent amount of sitting and there wifi works really well. During the early months of covid/pandemic, she personally delivered her brews weekly to the local essential healthcare providers with the help of the community. I would absolutely support businesses that gives back. Her quaint shop have a nook area where you can skim through the book shelves. She sells roasted coffee beans and will grind it up for you. I absolutely love her CAPPUCCINO (with hemp milk). Best in town! Naysayers can suck it. =) read more
