I had frequented this gym quite often before moving back to LA in 2022 s so once I've been back the dynamic of customer service has changed exponentially. Katherine over the phone is overtly rude, and takes a handle approach rather than help approach to customer service on the phone, and as someone who spends over $20 every drop in class I attend via class pass, I do not appreciate the lack of true hospitality at this location, and can book at other gyms that actually appreciate the people who frequent there business, and don't try to check people on the phone in a reprimanding way. Tried this place on class pass and it was a blast and an incredible workout! the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location. Don't think I've ever take the time to review a gym but I just had to. Found the gym using classpass, definitely on a mission to find a solid home and I think I have. I've been looking for more than a typical gym/class and this is it. Did the 11:30a HIIT class and it was awesome! Combination of weights, plyometrics and cardio. It only took one group session to convince me that Evolve was the right place for me. I would HIGHLY recommend you try it out too. The Staff is so nice and it literally feels like you join a family when you purchase the membership. Work out was good, but I had an issue with the parking and it's been 2 months already that Evolve can not take care of it. On the website is says park across the street and validate in the studio. It doesn't mention that there are 2 different parking companies there. So I parked, came in and asked if I parked in the right spot. No, it's the one mor to the left. Mind you, there is no fence in between so it all looks like one parking place. Okay, I will repark. I already got a ticket on those 5 minutes. So I bring the ticket in and the front desk girl says " no worries, let me take a picture of it and my manager will take care of it". Something about construction and that it's not there permanent spot. Great. Well, nothing was done. I keep checking all month and now start calling them back. "Send us the screenshots, we'll take care of it", call us back by Wednesday if you don't hear back from us. Ok, I call back, leave a message. Nothing. I call back Friday and ask if the manager is on site. Yes. Can I talk to her. She is busy at the moment. Okay, can she call me back? Sure. No call back. I call, she already left for the day at 1pm. Ok, she didn't call me back, where do I go now?! We'll send her a text. Still nothing. All you have to do is go online and pay it with your expense card if you can't resolve it. It say it will go to collection if unpaid. Am I supposed to pay it, when it clearly was a result of misinformation on your site. And this info is still there. read more

I've edited by review for good reason. I've been a patron of evolve for about 5 years. Incredible workouts absolutely, but my last visit will be my last for good reason. I am a more petite and lean woman, because o prefer that as my body shape. I had not been in an evolve class for about 6 weeks because I was in Vietnam for 3 weeks, and getting back to my normal routine and jet lag after all the travel. So I had lost a couple pounds of muscle mass for obvious reasons. I I tattoo for a living, so I'm very mindful of the moves I do to protect my hands and wrists, so I often modify some moves to my liking, and the trainers know this. The owner came up to me in the middle of a set and commented of my body saying " you look really small" like not as a compliment, like it was a bad thing. One; I don't think it's appropriate for any man to comment on a woman's physique, it's offensive. And just because I prefer to not look like a buff woman, doesn't mean I should have my body commented on because I have a more lean Pilates body. It was quite offensive and something that had been heavy on my mind since. Not bc I care what he thinks, couldn't care less really. I'm upset because it's just out of line for many reasons. No self awareness what so ever. I've referred this gym to many friends and clients over the years and have spent loads of money attending the classes that I loved so much. If you're not in the cool kids: Evolve hydrox athlete group, it's hard to not feel like an outsider there if I'm being honest. Shareef, my advice to you is to think about what you say before you say it especially when speaking about someone's body, positive or negative. "A fitness transformation" is an understatement. This gym is going to push you just as much mentally as it is physically. The owner Sharif is incredibly passionate about having each person who shows up meet their goals. It doesn't matter if you are a drop in or a member he is going to push you! His passions are echoed by the rest of his staff. You are going to learn a lot about correct form to keep you safe and strong. The gym has top of the line equipment and the cleanliness is top notch. I've been to the Tuesday and Wednesday classes a few times (via class pass) and have been impressed. I'm torn about signing up for 8 classes a month, because I'm not sure I'm ready to have my body worked that hard twice a week. Once a week seems plenty! The Monday - Wednesday classes are metMASS, which is circuit training focused on weights. It's organized chaos. The chaos is that there are three different areas and 6-8 different exercises to do in each area. Each excersise is for a certain time, then everyone is told to switch to the next. There are a lot of people working out at one time, and everyone is doing something different. Fortunately, I was assigned a buddy for my first visit -- she really helped break down the chaos. The organization is clear. The exercises are based on whatever Sharif has planned - vertical/horizontal planes, muscle groups, etc. There's a definite method to the madness, so people who go consistently get balanced improvements. After years of working out consistently at one place and randomly trying different places, it's nice to see a logical progression to the exercises. And, I've been noticing improvements (a first for me in Dallas!) even in my weekly visits. The only downside I can imagine is for someone who finds it difficult to remember the 18-24 exercises (although maybe memory work is part of the exercises?) or is unfamiliar with form for the exercises. While the instructor does an amazing job of encouraging people and correcting form as needed, it would be a tough environment to do your first kettlebell swing. There's probably an intro class for new weightlifters. Space is awesome, convenient and clean. Staff is always charming. Check in is easy on an iPad. As for parking, I walk there and don't care. read more

This is my new favorite Sunday workout; I actually get excited about my Sundays now. I go to the MetSWEAT with Tyler which is a 60-minute circuit training class. There are 12 different stations (stations change every week so it is never the same) with 4-complete rotations. I have been to several other circuit classes in the area, but none are as intense and it's nice that Tyler changes it up week after week. He really likes to focus on the booty. The gym itself is a full service boutique gym. It is not a part of a chain so the quality and attention to clients are top notch. It really is a hidden gem in the downtown Dallas area. I have lived in Dallas for about 9 years and have been to a lot of different gyms in the area and this is by far one of the best. The gym has every piece of equipment imaginable and is always very clean. I actually don't think I have ever seen a gym so clean before in my life. Kudos to them because I think the cleanliness of a gym speaks volumes to the pride they have in their business. They do offer several classes during the week and are on ClassPass. They also offer open memberships that allow you gym time or bundled memberships that include open gym sessions and group training classes. The basic level of membership is $79 a month and a top tier goes for $159 which includes unlimited group coaching. Seems very reasonable since LA Fitness, Gold's or Equinox is going to run about the same price per month but have poorly maintained locations. Parking can be a little confusing. They do offer free 2-hour valet in the parking structure just a few steps away from the gym itself. There is also limited meter parking on the streets. I don't usually carry cash and always feel bad about not tipping the valet guys so I usually meter park and pay the $1 via an app. Since I usually go early on Sunday, I have not had an issue with parking but I am sure parking becomes a little hectic during peak times. Pros: Very Clean. Prices are reasonable per class. Friendly staff. Great trainers. Great selection of equipment. Group sessions I have been to are not overly packed. Cons: Really none at this time. read more

Most gyms make you feel like a number. You get in, you get out, and no cares about you. I have lived in Dallas for almost six years and been to a myriad of gyms. Evolve is a different kind of gym, a gym that cares. Sharif and Ramon care about you, they remember you, they push you, and they want you to get better. I have only been a member for a month, but I can't imagine going to another gym. The personal element is only one factor of what makes Evolve so great, the workout classes are FOR REAL. If you bring it, you will see results. I have lost 4% body fat in a month. I've referred many of my friends to Evolve, one of them even remarking, "This is the hardest workout I've had since high school varsity track." Join, you won't regret it. read more
