After a few days…read morewe noticed the trunk of one of the palms was leaning very far over, and there was fibrous root material exposed above the ground. On June 6, both I and my husband (who was out of town at the time) spoke with the salesman at Moon Valley Nursery. I indicated my concern and provided him with pictures and told him one of the trunks was very wobbly and leaning at such an angle that it was almost parallel to the ground. He told me that it looked normal and they could come out and put additional mulch on it. He said the wobbliness was normal as the roots hadn't taken hold. I told him the other palm was not wobbly like that and they were planted at the same time. The other palm was doing just fine. I reiterated that it just didn't look right to me. He conferred with his supervisor and told me that his supervisor also said it was fine and looked normal. I felt reluctance on their part to come out to inspect it. There are also many palms in my neighborhood, none of which looked like this. Including my other palm. Midway into the next week my husband was in the yard and a landscaper stopped his truck and approached my husband, commenting that there was something wrong with the palm. He said he was familiar with them, having planted many, and it didn't look well. We phoned Moon Valley again and waited for a return call at which time we relayed this conversation and said someone needed to come out and take a look at the palm. This was on a Friday--nine days post-implantation. Our salesman said that a supervisor would reach out to--most likely Monday and schedule a visit. Monday came with no call. When we followed up, the story changed and we were told someone would contact us to "get us on a schedule." We were having other work done and opted to replace it the third week of June. We were given the name and number of the district manager and left a message for a callback. On June 18 (next day), he phoned us back and we shared our experience with him. He was very apologetic for the service we received and gave us the store manager's name, said he was going to note our account and take care of us. At that point, I asked for clarification on what "take care of us" meant. He said he would be having the manager refund us for the palm. On June 19, we finally got an email that we were on the schedule for someone to inspect the palm on June 25. We did not respond as we were waiting for a call from the manager and planned to address that inspection with her at that time. I followed up with the nursery on the June 22. The manager was off that day however, the man I spoke with said he would see about getting our refund processed that day. I asked for a call back to confirm it was in process. As you can probably guess, there was no call back. On the morning of the June 24, I phoned the nursery again. I asked if the manager was in. The woman who came to the phone was not the manager, and said they would provide an in-house credit. I told her that is not what the district manager told me would be happening; that I was specifically told I would get a refund for that palm. She told me that is not their store policy at which point I told her that she needed to follow up with the district manager that I spoke with, and that it was supposed to have been noted on my account that it was a refund, not a credit. I asked her to look confirm and call me back. At that point, we also left a message for the district manager to look into it on his end. No response from either the nursery or the district manager. Today, the 25th, we have texted the district manager to follow up, and phoned the nursery yet again. This time we have asked for the manager herself to phone us back. I have over 40 years in the financial and member services industry. I recognize great customer service when I receive it. There is definitely room for improvement from this company. The whole situation with the palm has caused no small amount of stress. I am hopeful that the refund will happen. I know that bad reviews travel further than good ones. If this is resolved to my satisfaction, I'm happy to edit this in the near future; for now I remain extremely disappointed and would not recommend this company.

Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. From the start, there were ongoing issues with reliability and communication. Luca was consistently hours late, frequently made verbal promises or gave quotes that later changed, and did not follow through. We even tried to coach him and provide constructive feedback, which he acknowledged--but nothing improved. The project was supposed to take 7 days but was rushed so he could move on to another job. On the final day, he pulled his crew early and said he would return the next day to finish cleaning, complete the front porch work, deliver additional rock (as the coverage was very light), and--most importantly--repair damage his crew caused to our concrete driveway while removing a walkway. He did show up the next day, but only to clean up. It took several more days for the rock and patio work to be completed. His workers were removed on Thursday 12/11, with a promise that all remaining issues would be fixed on 12/12. As of today, 1/20, Luca is completely unresponsive, and our driveway damage has still not been repaired. My last text to Luca was sent on 1/13, clearly asking for a response by 1/15 with a plan and timeline for repairing the driveway. That message was never acknowledged. I gave him ample time and opportunity to make this right, which is the only reason this review is being posted now. Additionally, after we had our house painted, the painter pointed out that the stucco work on the new retaining wall was extremely rough and appeared to be very poor craftsmanship. Overall, this project was stressful, unfinished as promised, and left us with property damage and subpar work. We regret choosing A1 Hardscape and would not recommend them based on our experience.

One part of the block was put on backwards. Wall wasn't straight. It was weaving. Do not deal with this shoddy company. He goes around scamming people.

I decided to stop into Baker Bros. on Bell in Surprise. I met Brett Mossey the Manager and he showed me a large selection of area rugs. They were hung so I could see the entire carpet. I found just what I was looking for. I bought it that day. Before I knew it, the carpet had arrived at their warehouse, and we set up a delivery time. They also delivered a carpet pad that is safe for hardwood floors for free. The delivery guy brought it into my house and put it just where I needed it. Today, I finally rolled it out! It is perfect! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You have a very wide selection of carpets and flooring. And you told me you can make any rug the size and shape I need! I will definitely be back!

He told us yes as long as the boxes were not opened. We ended up with one extra box and drove down to Baker Bros to return it. The associate said that they don't accept opened or unopened boxes of their flooring. I advised him that our salesman told us otherwise. He called me a liar and said that Mike would never say that. The next day Mike called me to confirm what his associate told me. Our mistake was that we didn't get what was said in writing. I do not recommend Baker Bros flooring simply for the unethical way that they treat their customers. Now I understand why Baker Bros parking lot is always empty!

    I am writing to express my frustration regarding the process of scheduling and completing…read moremeasurements for my flooring project, which has been extremely disorganized and disappointing. My initial appointment for measurements was scheduled for May 25, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Unfortunately, no one arrived during that window. I contacted Lowe's that day to inquire about the delay, as I had prior commitments starting at 12:30 PM. I was told someone would follow up with me, but I received no communication. The following day, having still not heard anything, I called again and was assured that the issue would be investigated. Again, I did not receive a return call. Instead, I later received a message stating that the person responsible for measurements had not been scheduled to work on May 25. I rescheduled the appointment for June 1, 2026, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, as I work until 3:15 PM. Although the appointment was confirmed, I then received another message referencing a different appointment date of June 2. Because there is no direct way to speak with someone, I had to communicate via text to clarify the correct date. I was told the appointment remained June 1; however, I continued to receive conflicting information. I also spoke with a supervisor, Nelson (extension 4122), who stated he would investigate the issue and call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call. On June 1, unsure of the status of my appointment, I left work early. When my husband arrived home, he found that a representative from Lowe's had already come and completed the measurement. The visit lasted approximately 10 minutes, and I was told someone would contact me regarding next steps and selecting products. However, on June 2, I received another notification stating that someone was on their way to perform measurements again. I responded to explain that the measurements had already been completed. On June 3, I received a call from a representative who initially stated there were no measurements in the system. After I explained the situation, she was eventually able to locate the information and informed me that someone would contact me with a quote. I have not heard anything since. Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication, coordination, and follow-through. I have requested multiple times to speak with a supervisor but have not received any response. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Lowe's for flooring services unless these issues are addressed and improved.
