October 24, with indoor temps in the upper 70's instead of 68 I called Air-Rite, instead of Northern Weathermakers to asses the unit. On October 25, Air-Rite stated that at least 75% of the Freon had leaked out and the compressor was shot. Leak number seven is only six weeks after the unit was completely charged with Freon, leak number six fixed and an invoice $582.01. The compressor, now shot, is under a 5 year warranty, it has been 4-1/2 years since installation When forwarding this information to Mike Lee, President of Northern Weathermakers, and after three voice mails, I was never able to talk to him. Instead, I received a terse, three sentence email stating that Northern Weathermakers will no longer be servicing my unit. The compressor is under warranty and Mike Lee, President of Northern Weathermakers refuses to honor and stand behind his warranty. Again, don't let this happen to you.

I chose Air Repair based off of their Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. Called to schedule an appointment. Inquired about cost and was given, what I considered based on some of other adds from competitors, a fair price ($89). Will showed up for the appointment on time (a bit early in fact) and was friendly, cordial and professional. Completed the check of the unit and said it was running just fine and did not need anything additional. He asked me how it was performing and I told him that it didn't quite cool the entire house as well as I would like. He asked about the sq. ft of the home and based off of that told me that the unit was a little small for the amount of square footage. He provided me with a written quote of what a larger unit would cost as well as the cost of a different kind of thermostat that he felt might be useful. I didn't feel pressure by him to purchase anything at the moment and was glad he was able to provide the quote on the spot so I consider our options (I don't think we'll do anything at the moment). He also walked me through some other options, including running the fan on manual as opposed to auto mode, to keep the house cooler. Overall a great experience and I will definitely use and recommend them moving forward.

Todd advised us well on the replacement units and installed both very professionally. Since then, he's been advising us on the annual failures of our 1979 air conditioner, always managing to repair, rather than replace, up until this year when there really was no recovery. Again Todd advised on a cost and energy efficient unit (Bryant) with the work being done in the middle of a torrential downpour. Extremely responsive on both planned and emergency visits (his wife handles scheduling I believe) and an all around nice guy.

Our technician, Roman, came out after another company told us we needed a new system and quoted us $6K. Roman was extremely thorough, and advised that our gas was set way too high, which was why our heat was auto shutting off. We need different filters and maintenance, to the tune of less than $300. We purchased the maintenance plan with them, and will never use anyone else. These guys are honest, and I will recommend them to anyone that asks.

He was very nice and extremely professional. He figured out the problem right away and was able to fix it immediately. He tested everything, including the heating output in each vent and took pictures of the inside of the furnace. My dad had his HVAC serviced less than 2 weeks ago for the winter and Bret didn't realize that a pressure switch needed to be replaced. We don't know what was actually done for service. So instead we had to pay a different HVAC technician to come and fix it on one of the coldest days this winter. We called multiple times and left many messages with no follow up. We understand it's busy and we need their help because we aren't hvac technicians ourselves - but this isn't how to treat customers. They wouldn't appreciate their friends and family being serviced this way, so why should we?
