Today 7/15/2026, Jake came out to my niece's townhome late afternoon with a smile on his face to service her AC. It was 95 degrees and he did not complain once while I myself felt sorry for him working in this heat. Jake was very helpful. Gave us some good advice and provided us with follow up phone numbers. Our air went out this morning and its one of the hottest days of the year. The person who scheduled it was very polite and understanding and got us an appointment the same day. Greg came out and found the problem and was able to fix it. Greg did an awesome job and didn't try to upsell or pressure us (like so many very expensive companies that have commercials on TV-I think we all know who those companies are). Called Planz for a furnace cleaning and tune up. Easy to make an appointment a few days later thou they do have immediate service available for serious issues. Jake showed up exactly on time was courteous, professional and went to work. He noticed the filter was fairly dirty and offered to replace it and we agreed, one less trip into the attic!! I was without heat with an old boiler hydronic heating system that needed replacement and called Planz Heating & A/C. This company is AWESOME from the receptionist Sidney Planz up to The President Dave Planz. They quickly responded and sent Chester with his assistant Mike to remove and replace the boiler system. They worked there butts off and stayed almost 12 hours until the job was complete and the area was totally cleaned up. Chester picked the best possible position and design. Dave, the owner is a very honest man and runs an honest business, and all of his service guys are very knowledgeable and friendly.I mainly use them for my annual heating and air maintenance and cleanings, but I have called them when I've had issues with my heater not working and they always repair it and are honest about what the issue is even if the issue is nothing serious. They fixed the problem and didn't sell me a new furnace/air conditioning like another place said I needed. So that right there tells me they can be trusted. Did an angel visit our home today in the late afternoon to troubleshoot our broken SpacePak air conditioning system? In the middle of a heat wave? When we had requested help only a few hours before? When Greg pulled into our driveway, we didn't see any wings, but to us he was an angel disguised as an air conditioning tech. And it seemed to us that he did work a miracle, getting our system up and running when we had lost all hope. Greg arrived as promised, and methodically tackled the problem. Our compressor was dirty. He cleaned it. The filter inside our home needed to be cleaned. He did it. He checked the components of the system. All appeared in working order, although the coolant level was down which might indicate a leek that would need to be addressed later. He added coolant, and within record time the hot, humid air in our stifling vintage home was on the mend. We are first time customers of Planz. The person who took our phone call was courteous and reassuring. Help would come sooner than we ever expected. We are seniors with some health issues. This company is responsive and compassionate, their tech was well-trained, he methodically solved the problem, and the total bill was less than the basic "sending someone out" fee a competitor we used for many years would have changed us.
