Our experience with Jorge and Excellent Pool services was the polar opposite of excellent. We hired him to finish the installation of a new pool heater that our pool service person had been unable to complete. We agreed to pay him 50% of his $2100 fee upfront, with the balance due at completion. He began the work, and told us he had to come back a few days later to finish. We were out of town for a week, but he demanded the balance payment before the work was finished. We told him he could return when we were back in town and we would pay him when the job was finished, as we agreed. He then said " you don't think I'm going to come back" and hung up the phone on me because we wouldn't agree to pay him by Zelle before the work was done. He did come back with his coworker when we were back in town and seemingly finished the work. We paid him in full what was owed. About a month and a half later, we tried to use the heater for the first time when the weather had cooled. The heater didn't work. After 45 minutes, the water temperature in our hot tub had not changed. We tried to contact Jorge to have him come out and fix the problem, but despite trying to call multiple times, the call would never connect. Either his line was disconnected or he had blocked our number. We also texted and did not receive a response. We found another installer through our heater manufacturer, who discovered that a cheap control board was used that was only intended to heat the pool and the system was not wired properly. The new installer also told us that the amount we were charged by Jorge was over $1000 more than their highest priced heater installation. If only we had found him first, it would have saved us a lot of money and heartache. read more

I have used them three times over the last few years when I have had different pool issues that I couldn't troubleshoot on my own. they have always shown up quickly, same day or next day and been very knowledgeable. They are quick to diagnose and provide options. this most recent experience was great in that the control panel I needed is no longer available from jandy so they offered the upgrade kit that adds the feature wireless controlling via app or a used replacement panel for 1/4 the price of the upgrade kit installed. As I don't care to have wireless control I went with the used panel they had and they offered a 6 month warranty on the used part. pricing was upfront and fair. the tested the system completely before leaving and let me know to call them right away if any issues come up. When I noticed it I contacted the owner a couple times and he finally sent the same "plumber " to look at it. The "plumber" guy said he'd come back the following Saturday to correct it but never showed or called. Contacted the owner again and he said he'd call his guy again. Except when your pool vacuum bites off more than it can chew and clogs one of the internal lines that leads to the pump. If this happens, you have no choice but to call someone to blow the blockage out with a CO2 tank. George from Excellent Pool Services is the right guy to call. He was very responsive and showed up the next day ready to work. Got me back up and operational in a minimum amount of time and expense. He got there early, and never rang the bell, or knocked, or contacted me in anyway to let me know he'd arrived. My wife seen him in the driveway as she was backing out the garage to go to the store. He told her he was here for the pool so she opened the gate to let him in, and then came and told me he was here. this was approx 10:55-11a. i sent him a message saying id be right out i came outside at approx 10:57a, and he was gone. i sent him a message asking where he was at? he responded with one word: "pool". so i went to the backyard just to dbl check i hadn't somehow not seen him when i was just back by the pool 30 seconds prior. i called him at 10:59a he didnt answer. he then sent me a message 5mins later at 11:05a saying "im at the pool" (which was a complete lie, he'd already left at this point). i called him again, and again he didn't answer, then he sent a message 3 mins later at 11:08a which read "leaving". I called him again, and he answered this time. i asked him why'd he leave, we exchanged words and, he became irate and began cursing, and yelling so i hung up the phone. that's when he called back 7 times in a row, back to back, cursing, yelling at me, and threatening to do harm to me physically and to damage my pool equipment! JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOS I POSTED. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE COMMUNICATION TIMELINE. NOTICE THE 7 BACK TO BACK CALLS, AND THE TIMES! JUST LOOK AT THE DISCREPANCIES IN HIS STATEMENTS, ALL OF MY STATEMENTS MATCH UP WITH THE PHOTOS AND TIMEFRAMES, HIS DO NOT! A FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER: 1. I only have great things to say about this company. Long story short, after not being happy with my old service I decided to hire someone off a neighbor application. For some reason, he decided to drain the pool and for 2-3 months after he was not able to get the chemicals right which turned the pool green. After so long the algae was deep into the plaster and I had multiple companies check it out and give me different quotes. Jorge was honest and affordable from the very beginning. Excellent pool company contacted me in a short time frame and scheduled a time for the next day to look at my pump. Daniel showed up at the designated time and attempted to repair the pump.
