I scheduled car service for my mom to be picked up from LAX and driven home because I was not able to do it myself since I was working that day. Their website is easy to navigate and it was easy to make a reservation as well. I received confirmation quickly via email. I made the reservation but since the service wasn't for me they asked for my mom's contact information so that they can get in touch with her directly on the day she arrives. I received a reminder via email the day before and on the day of I was given contact information about the driver (Tracy). My mom told me the pick-up went smoothly and she was assisted with her bags. They had already left the airport and customer service from LAX called my mom to inform her that she had mistakenly taken the wrong luggage. The driver made a quick call to the office and they headed back to pick switch her luggage. She arrived home safely and was seen all the way to the front door by the driver, Tracy. I was expecting an extra charge for the time that the driver had to turn back, but to my surprise there were no additonal charges. The rate for the service was as expected given that it was a Saturday at LAX, but it was actually a little bit lower than what Uber and Lyft were charging. But my mom definitely wouldn't have gotten the same courteous service from those rideshare apps as this company. Thank you to Tracy and the staff at Excelsior! I've tried Uber, I've tried Lyft, I've tried Alto and other car services... None compare to the level of service, professionalism and care that Excelsior provides. Additionally, I have had rides cancel with the other services and I have had them raise their prices on me last minute. I never have to worry with Excelsior. The price they quote me stays the same and I know they're going to be there not just on time, but early. I can just breathe a sigh of relief and not stress at all. Not to mention, their drivers are always kind and considerate. This last time, my first flight was delayed so I missed my connecting flight and as I was running to get my new connecting flight, I would have had to scramble to update Alto or deal with the Hunger Games (AKA: the ride share area of LAX) when I landed. All I had to do was message Excelsior my new flight info and they tracked it for me and were waiting for me upon landing. They are incredible. I would give six stars if I could. If you live in Southern California, Excelsior should be your new best friend. You won't regret it. read more
