Friday afternoon, I brought my 11 month old daughter here because she wasn't feeling well, and I was truly blown away by the experience. The facility was extremely clean, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. During what was a very overwhelming time for me as a parent, our nurse was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and informative. He made both my daughter and me feel comfortable and at ease. After we received our results, the doctor came in to speak with us and was just as kind and reassuring.Overall, we had the best possible experience during a difficult situation, and we were in and out within an hour. The only reason for a star at all is the Medical Assistant. The people behind the wall with the tablet you sign in on are basically being paid to socialize. Make sure you have a phone to upload all of your infomation even if you dont feel well or have a migrain or hand injury. You have to fill everything out electronically on your phone. The music was so loud one patient advocate had to ask for it to be turned down because their partner had a migraine. It was barely turned down. And if you ever come across a PA named Ryan, ask for someone else. He is all about his paycheck and not actually working. Please go to any other urgent care in SCV. Don't bother making an appointment. You'll still wait over an hour to be called back from the waiting area. Then when you finally get called back they won't listen to you and try to tell you you're wrong about what you're experiencing. Went in to get a painful lump/mass on my shoulder looked at and was told it was caused by an injury or sleeping on my arm wrong. I was told they couldn't feel anything multiple times and that it was the same on both sides until I physically redirected the NP's finger to where I kept telling them where the mass was. I felt completely invalidated. Then I was left in the exam room while they said they were writing up my discharge papers and a referral for an ultrasound that I'd have to make an appointment to come back for. After 20 minutes of waiting (when I got my discharge papers texted to me after 5) I left. Will not be returning. read more

Everyone else I spoke to was kind and respectful. However, after waiting over two hours to be seen, the RN came in and spent less than a minute with me. She was extremely rude from the moment she entered the room--cutting me off repeatedly and insisting I "just had allergies" without letting me explain my symptoms. I tried to clarify that I've had allergies my entire life and that this felt distinctly different--more severe--but she dismissed my concerns in a condescending tone, saying, "I know you don't think it's allergies, but it is." I made several attempts to advocate for myself and describe other symptoms I was experiencing, but she kept interrupting me. Finally, she said, "I'll send in your prescription for allergy meds, you're free to go," and walked out--never asking any follow-up questions or giving me a real opportunity to speak. I left feeling extremely frustrated and disrespected. After waiting over two hours, I wasn't given even a minute of genuine attention, and I'm still concerned that something more serious than allergies is being overlooked. No patient deserves to be treated like that, especially when they're trying to express concern about their health. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I came in feeling absolutely awful--sore throat, cough, sneezing, chest pain--I could barely talk. I chose this location because they advertise having an X-ray machine, just in case it was needed. What I didn't know is that check-in is completely self-service through your phone. I couldn't even focus on my screen, I felt so sick. I tried registering on the website but couldn't, and the front desk lady just sat there playing on her phone instead of helping. There were only four people ahead of me, but the wait still ended up being over 2.5 hours. Eventually I saw NP Odessa Hernandez. She looked at my ears and throat, but didn't check my lymph nodes--and didn't listen to my lungs. Then she told me my lungs sounded clear, and because I didn't have a fever, she didn't want to test me for COVID or RSV. I asked how she could say my lungs were clear when she hadn't even listened to them. She just smiled and said, "Sorry, I've been checking so many lungs..." Um, what?! I told her I have a respiratory machine at home and asked for a low-dose med like Albuterol. When I got to the pharmacy, they gave me an inhaler instead--not what I asked for. So... she didn't do a full check-up, didn't remember what I said, and the whole visit felt rushed and careless. Later, I got a text asking me to rate my experience from 0 to 10. I gave it a 0 and left a comment saying they could contact me for more details. Of course, no one ever followed up. Definitely not a place I'd go back to. read more

When checking in I told the receptionist I was here because I was having pain when taking deep breath ( this would have been the moment to let me know they could not help me). After waiting for nearly 40 minutes, I was seen by a medical assistant told him I was having shortness of breath, chills and sneezing . when asked to see the doctor I was denied. Told me they couldn't help me. My vitals were not taken asked if I could get a Covid test and I was also denied stated because I wasn't presenting " all the symptoms." read more

The visit with the PA was fine. It was everything after. I provided a copy of my insurance card when I was there - they billed the wrong insurance TWICE. You can't get a live person. I sent them my insurance card when the billed me and asked them to bill the correct insurance and three months later, my insurance still has not received a bill. I asked for a copy of the bill on a message. I received but without a diagnosis code so my insurance won't pay. I will never go back to this urgent again. read more

Although the staff was friendly and courteous the NP was not helpful at all. Very unprofessional. I explained my symptoms and she immediately said we needed to do a Covid test and a flu test. I stated I did not want a Covid test and suggested she check my symptoms. A runny nose, sore throat, aches and a low grade fever. In addition I explained I had similar symptoms that turned into that hideous cough and after 9 weeks I was put on a Z pack, it took two rounds to get rid of the cough. I my wife had the same thing and middle of last week it progressed into the same symptoms, same cough. Mid day I felt the same symptoms and I wanted to get checked and stop this from getting worse. She checked my nose and throat and stated the case was Allergies and that I needed Claritin and Zyrtec. I stated that I was concerned that this was going to get worse and I didn't think she was listening to me. Next thing I know she leaves the room. No conclusion no comment about next steps. After 5 minutes I go out of the room and ask what was happening. I ask if she was submitting the medication and what was I waiting for. They said she went into another room. I asked them what happened. Where did she go, what was I supposed to do. They went and hog her as she hadn't said anything to them. I asked her what the conclusion was. She said you said you didn't trust me and that you wanted another opinion and you wanted a a pack. I stated that was not true. I asked if that was why she left the room and did conclude my visit. I told her that was complete unprofessional. She repeated what she had already said. I stated this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional and I asked for a refund. She proceeds to go and ask for security. I stayed put, waited a few minutes. I walk over and asked for a refund. I was told by the staff that the manager already processed my refund and instructed her to send the medication to the pharmacy. read more

Nobody likes having to go to urgent care - but when I have had to go here I have had good service recently I attempted another urgent care that had stopped taking patients for the night at 5 pm so I decided to try here I wish they had the option they used to have to join the line, get a text letting you know your status that way when it's close to your time you can head over . I would prefer to stay at home as long as I could. Receptionist indicated they were working on that I learned once you scan their QR code your place is already determined in line. I had trouble uploading photos of insurance card license etc and was worried someone else was going to get ahead of me because they did theirs faster Woman taking my vitals was super friendly and nice and so was the PA I saw. I do wish all the urgent cares in the area had more staff to cut down on wait times - or please EXER reinstate the text system The website didn't seem to work real well during the day every time I checked it said 7 people in line read more

I went to Exer Urgent Care because I wasn't feeling well - sore throat, cough, sneezing over several days. Tech/Doctor did a swab sample and said they would follow up in a day. I did not receive a call back, and when I called the next day front desk the front desk said no call was necessary because everything came back negative. I went to another Urgent Care who diagnosed in less than 15 minutes and prescribed meds. Exer Urgent Care doctor never called me back, and I had to follow up with front desk. She required thousands of dollars in tests - x rays, bloodwork, scans to determine my condition. I had to refuse because that is completely unnecessary to use a gym at my office. Poor Experience at Exer Urgent Care I've been to Exer Urgent Care multiple times, and each visit has been consistently subpar. Frankly, I don't see this place staying open much longer--the quality of care seems to decline with every visit. The only redeeming feature is their check-in system, which lets you sign in and leave until it's your turn. Unfortunately, the doctors I've encountered here have been dismissive and inattentive. It often feels like talking to a brick wall. They barely acknowledge your symptoms, and the level of care borders on negligence. If you've ever seen the show House, imagine the main character--except every diagnosis is wrong, and the attitude is worse. A few years ago, I came in as a healthy 18-year-old suffering from food poisoning. It took them an unreasonable amount of time to run basic blood work. Then, during a follow-up test, a nurse pressed down hard on my lower abdomen with both hands. When I told her it was uncomfortable, she immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was appendicitis and told me to rush to the ER because it might be life-threatening. After 8 hours in the emergency room, I was sent home with anti-nausea meds and a massive bill. Bottom line: I do not recommend this urgent care. The doctors seem overworked, disinterested, and quick to push a generic diagnosis without truly listening. If you care about your health, go elsewhere. read more

The wait was the wait. It was just under 2 hours. I went in the afternoon so I expected the wait. The wait was WELL WORTH IT! First Esmeralda didn't even blink when I went over my medical history (no unprofessional words nor actions). I was so pleasantly surprised. Thank you Esmeralda. Not everyone walks into an urgent care having survived cancer 3x and gonna have a biopsy soon too. Moving on to the next staff member that wowed me--Michell Emeahu NP. Amazing. Direct. Thorough. Kind. And all just more than I ever expected. She informed me of a different breathing treatment option; I said yes. I sure am I glad I did. Thank you so much for being extremely professional while personable and knowledgeable. And then in walks Kathryn with a shot. It is a shot I have had before but those were painful. They give you the option to receive a text 20 minutes before your appointment. Which allows you to leave and come back however those text backs are not accurate. I came back 20 minutes before our appointment is still ended up waiting over an hour and a half just to be seen. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I cannot even believe this place is still open. The worst Exer I have ever visited. They consistently have only one NP onsite to see patients. And while the providers I've met have all been nice, they see you for less than minute before they're running off to the next patient. Another terrible experience. The website said they closed at 8:00pm. I got there at 4:45pm and they said they could not see me because they were closing at 5:00pm. I was there 2 weeks ago with the same problem and it was a horrible experience. They said hey were calling in an Rx and never did so I had to suffer through the night because after waiting 1 1/2 hours at the pharmacy, Exer had closed. Then when I called the next morning there was different staff and doctors and didn't know what the doctor prescribed the night before because the doctor said there were no dates in my file. Highly unprofessional. Thank goodness I found AFC on Newhall Ranch Rd. I will never return to Excer. read more

We've been here multiple times. Our experience has been mixed but overwhelmingly frustrating. The Office Staff: Non-Existent, unavailable and unhelpful. They just aren't around and it's frustrating. Facility: Very clean. Doctor's: Have been VERY kind and attentive. The medical care and attention from them is great. No complaints. Billing: AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. They mis-billed my insurance and have been sending duplicate bills for over a year. Their billing call center has said they'd call me back twice...with no response. Their "instant access" codes on their statements don't work. And their call center hours aren't available evenings and weekends. They keep billing and repeat billing for the same things. The paperwork is confusing and maddening. Just send me ONE bill...let me pay it and leave me alone please. SUMMARY: We've moved our urgent care to another location to avoid the billing hassle. Came in for my medical clearance for surgery, I needed an EKG and some lab work to be done. Its flu season the wait time isn't ideal but at least I was able to wait in my car and take care of other stuff in the meantime. I called before to get info on pricing ect. I spoke with AnnMarie she is very helpful and made this process easy. She is a perfect example of a great employee she went over an beyond to make sure I was informed of what was going to be done during my ekg, she actually did it for me! I took my daughter to Exer Urgent care yesterday for a complaint of right hip pain along with my autistic son. Ryan and the staff were very professional , compassionate, and very caring. I could not take my son with me to the X-ray area so they were so nice to offer to watch my son. BTW, taking care of my son is not an easy task especially by someone he does not know. They took very special care of my children. On top of that, my daughter forgot her pet turtle in the waiting room and we had no idea that we left the turtle behind inadvertently. I received a call the next day from Exer Urgent Care from the manager, Michael. After his extensive detective work of tracking us down , he called us to inform us that he had our pet turtle and it's well taken care of. Thank you very much to Exer Urgent Care and the staff .
