Came in with an exhaust and a mid pipe and let them know I just needed it mounted. The previous set up on my car was welded straight through to the back with all the factory flanges removed so I was a little concerned that the work involved may have been more costly but they reassured me it would be no problem for them. In my case, the install was only $99 and they had it ready within 2.5 hours from drop off. My car used to sound obnoxiously loud but thanks to the fine gentlemen at Exhaust Works my car sounds great. So much quieter but still with a tasteful rumble. Plus they reinstalled a flange on the header pipe in case I want to upgrade in the future, saving me the hassle of cutting the pipe. Ver In my case I already had my parts, just needed them put in, but I couldn't recommend these guys more. Great work, did it very quick and at a fair price. Thanks again!

I'm speechless! These guys do amazing work. I have separation anxiety when it comes to my truck. These got my truck done quickly, great job, great price! I couldn't be happier. Most of all they put up with me and I'm no easy customer. If I ever need work done there is only one place to come to. Thanks fellas!

I'm still waiting on a hook up price for all the people I send thou from work, buddies or people who ask where I got the exhaust done. Been going there since 01-02 I think I would recommend & will be going there soon

Great service, I had a very minor issue that took Larry 10 minutes to diagnose and fix.

I brought carbon for service along my road trip and they did such a poor job!! Primarily Japanese auto service not only found what was wrong but fixed it quickly and car is running way better They recommended another reputable shop to address the front end body work as this type of work is another specialty. Joe explained to me using easy to understand language that was not too technical so I totally could understand what was goi g on I am having my wife bring her Subaru in for service and now think I found a good, honest decent shop for car issues

EDITED AFTER CORRECTIONS WERE MADE There was a subtle red…read moreflag within a minute during my first phone call. The person was pointedly irritated at my question regarding morning drop-off time. Dealing with the thick traffic to access the single lane drive into the parking area makes the scheduled times at the absolute worst traffic times - another big red flag. Our car had a power antenna that worked fine, before. In their zeal to take the car on a 10 mile test ride they broke the antenna taking the car through a car wash with the antenna still up. Not the sharpest tools in the shed there. NOW FIXED We dropped the car off with only 2 gallons in the tank. The out of gas warning light was not on. When we picked it up at 4:45ish the warning light came on when we started it, indicating it was down to about 1 gallon or less. A test drive is expected. Even a 10 mile drive is acceptable, especially if a system reset is needed. But when a customer drops off a car that gets so low its warning light comes on during "testing" then a reasonable, thinking ahead kinda shop would have or get a gallon of quality brand name Premium gas to add to the car and adding it to the final bill. Chris' excuse after phoning him was - we don't put any gas in anyone's car, it may not be their preferred brand or grade - as if they've gotten complaints of Shell or Chevron premium tainting some sniveler's quarter-tank of QT regular. As if... Chtis' lying became absurd as his story changed along the way. He nor the shop never mentioned the broken antenna when they called us at 4;15 to let us know it was ready for pickup. It wasn't until we had driven thru the thick and dangerous rush hour traffic outside their shop that Chris then tells us we could leave it for another day while they procure and install a "new"? or used antenna. Apparently Primarily Japanese isn't very familiar with the old adage: Honesty is the best policy. During our initial phone call I listed a few items I wanted inspected. Not one word was spoken nor written on the scant information printed on their scant receipt regarding any inspection(s); just a total fail in that regard. So asking for certain tasks doesn't matter with Primarily Japanese. They focused on the main maintenance task with zero regard for our request to check a few other things. Because of their dishonesty we now wonder if the initial main needed work was ever even performed. We are now forced to either take a few parts off to inspect the alleged new parts ourselves or hire a different shop to do post "repair" inspection. As a local business owner (with 100% five star reviews) I wouldn't dream or nightmare treating my clients the way we were treated by Primarily Japanese. Save yourself the time and frustration and go to any other shop, necause almost sny other shop wouldn't attempt to lie as much as Primarily Japanese lies. This review is being written early on "the day after" If Primarily Japanese and Chris are being forthright in their verbal promise to rectify the broken antenna today, this review will be edited to reflect their correction. Still though, no real apology from Chris, only laughter; likely and hopefully a nervous laughter at being caught lying. EDIT Joe the owner called us, discussed the issues and arranged for the repair today, the day after. He explained a few things more clearly than previous communications with the employees we had dealt with yesterday. Excellent speed in rectifying the broken antenna. Still, we were almost convinced every issue was our fault. There were lapses in communication between employees that are human mistakes. We aren't thrilled but satisfied the maintenance and repairs were done adequately. Overall, Joe made things right. His shop is capable and qualified and he strives to do honest and fair work.

Found Buddy's online with good reviews, called, and they said they would look at it as soon as I wanted to stop in. Did so that day. AJ and John spent a good half hour checking it out with their diagnostic equipment. Took the refrigerant out and found there were 2 ounces too many in the place where it goes. They found no other issue. Turns out that too much can be as bad as too little. They thought that would fix the problem. One month later and and after long drives on two hot days from Tucson to Payson and back, it is clear they were right and it is working great. . They didn't even charge me. These guys know what they are doing and could not be more fair and honest. I am going to trust them with my future auto mechanic business. What a great experience with a business. Thank you. Remember to ask to meet Buddy when you go!

Worst experience with an independent auto repair shop. If you want to be quoted one price, and then…read morereceive an inflated bill after the work is done (without a verbal or written authorization), then be forewarned. The owner John does not honor his quotes, has a foul mouth, and he will threaten to undo work that has been completed if you are not happy with his bill. Your vehicle will be taken hostage and I believe he is disturbed enough to follow up on his threats even if they harm him as well. It took a month and a half to complete the work and in all that time, he didn't have the professional skill or good business sense to tell me he had to adjust the original estimate. He was "too busy" to speak with his customer. Details if you are willing to read more: I read the Google reviews and this appeared to be a reputable shop for A/C service. I am now suspect of all their positive reviews. I initially received what I believed to be a reasonable quote and authorized them to do the work. I had to wait to return with the car because they had to source two small bolts. It was extremely difficult to receive any information from them and it was weeks before they scheduled to have the work done. I was finally told to drop my car off on a subsequent Monday and received no news for several days as I tried to determine when the work would be completed. Oddly, they do not work on Thursdays. Moreover, they pretty much work when they feel like it and never in the mornings. The shop usually starts their days sometime around noon. I was contacted on that Friday and told my car was ready, approximately six weeks after I first had my AC checked and diagnosed. It was only then that I was advised my bill was $300 over the original estimate. I addressed the discrepancy over the phone with John who told me they don't have time to call when they run into a problem and just proceed with unauthorized work saying all his customers are "happy to pay". Doubtful. And just to be clear, that is illegal according to Arizona law. He then proceeded to childishly tell me he would undo the work and return my car to the way I brought it in and I could go somewhere else to get my car fixed if I wasn't happy with the bill. He used some colorful language, F this and F that which clearly demonstrated his mental acuity and that I would have to pay up under duress. He called me back a second time that same evening to tell me his mechanics feelings were hurt, seriously, and that he didn't think he could control AJ from undoing the repairs and that I was an unappreciative client (because I expected a revised quote before the work was done). I'm uncertain if John has control over his employees which seems strange to me. In the end, I had no recourse than to pay whatever he wanted to charge to get my car back. My car was being held hostage for payment and subject to damage if I didn't pay for the unauthorized work. I would not be surprised if they damaged something on my vehicle that I couldn't detect until it was too late. He insisted I sign his new inflated quote, which I did under duress, after he said to AJ, "I don't' trust this F**king guy." He knew already he was in the wrong and was taking steps to cover his tracks. It doesn't work that way, we have rights. It's not legal under Arizona law to hold a client's car hostage. John doesn't take responsibility for himself or his employees. If he responds to this posting he will have a tantrum blaming me for his failure to not only follow the law but to practice basic rules of courtesy and business law. My only mistake was choosing this shop over other's who very likely know how to follow simple rules which protect them as well as their clients. For those of you who don't know, The Arizona Attorney's General Office accepts this type of complaint and will open an investigation. Exercise your rights, I will.
