I took my sassy new car in for its first check up today at OOROO. I wanted to try a non-dealer option. A friend referred OOROO so I thought I'd give them a try. My point person was Johnathan. I dropped my car off bright and early and they did a 12K mile check up. They offer The Happy Car Club membership. For $240 per year, you can have 3 oil changes, new wiper blades, cabin filters, yadda, yadda. (That's the technical term for automotive people) I plan on keeping my fun girl for many years to come. I have previously recommended this business. It has now expanded to multiple locations and spread the secret sauce too thin. In my most recent visit there were 5 days of confusion and excuses and miscommunication. Yes, on day 5 I pulled my car without completion of one of the repairs, leaving with a bill of $379 to change my oil and coolant, and including $100+ to test for coolant leaks when nobody said there were coolant leaks. At BEST a miscommunication. When I complained the manager blamed me! I pulled the car. When I said I would Yelp, he said "We'll just blame you in our response". Car maintenance is a speedily inflating necessity. I need better service. read more

Car needed new brake pads. Was told by the dealership the job would be about$950. We went to Ooroo and were told "We can do the job for $150 less per axle to do the same thing". Guess what? We got a bill for $958. Talk about bait and switch. Took the car in at 7:30didn't get it back until 5:00. Heard good things about this place. Just want to know why were we given this line of how they could do it cheaper than the dealership? Not sure I'm taking my car back there. read more

Had my truck at a local shop for a radiator issue and was told that I needed brakes and rotors all the way around. The quote was $1100, which is waaaay too much for such a simple job. I saw a commercial for Ooroo, which was strange, since I usually turn channels when a commercial comes on. I did some research and found that people were generally happy with Ooroo. I asked for a quote online and received a call the next day. I was quoted for "a worst case scenario" where all brake pads and rotors would need to be replaced. They gave me a reasonable quote and I made the appointment. I took my truck in and a few hours later, I received a call from the service writer. BOOM! I only needed pads and rotors on the front! They did the repair and I was on my way. So happy I took a chance on this business, and I definitely will use them again for my auto service needs. I hear they have a mobile service and a shuttle service to get you home when dropping off your vehicle, but I didn't use either on this visit. But I'm sure it would be handy. read more

I brought my car here for what I thought was a mechanical issue. It turned out to be an operator error issue. Dustin was awesome and did not make me feel stupid, although I clearly was. There was no charge for my stupidity, although there should've been a stupid tax.. BTW, is the cleanest nicest auto shop I've ever been in. They've offered a shuttle service to and from. I was having issues with my car stalling after rough idling. It happened multiple times before I brought my car into Ooroo but of course the issue didn't happen once it was brought in. However the team there did not give up on finding the problem. After a day they were able to identify an issue with the purge valve in the gas tank which was causing fuel to flood the engine leading to a stall. They ordered a new part from Kia tested it out and had it done the next day. The atmosphere is clean and has a good appearance...not like some auto shops where it's super dirty. The staff is very friendly and talked to me with words I could actually understand instead of a bunch of jargon which is what usually happens at auto shops. If I ever have a need for auto repair in the future I am definitely bringing my car to Ooroo! read more

I'm always pleasantly surprised when I'm told how much I owe for the service provided. It's always less than I expect. I couldn't even think about going some place else. Be cautious if you are considering this shop's services. I no longer trust this shop's honesty or expertise based on my experience, despite all of the positive reviews. During a cross-state trip to visit my father, I had a highly disappointing experience with this mechanic. My car's check-engine light came on, and after a diagnosis from a reputable mechanic showing a need for a valve body and solenoid replacement, I was told they could not perform the work. I then contacted Ooroo, and hesitantly agreed to let them reassess the situation. They claimed the entire transmission needed replacement, quoting me an astronomical price of $10k (which is far more than the car's worth). Naturally, I declined. I paid them $142 for their time, arranged to pick up the car, and requested they not clear the codes. Unfortunately, when I received the car back, the codes had been cleared. The diagnostic paperwork I received simply said: "Technician Note: P2767 req new transmission. Tcc slipping. No point in doing a valve body on a transmission with 200k". That was it. Upon returning home, my regular technicians spent nearly a week re-diagnosing the vehicle because the memory had been erased. The same issue was found as in Arizona--code P2762 for the Lock-Up Duty Solenoid Malfunction. We proceeded with replacing the valve body and solenoid. Furthermore, feeling skeptical, I ordered a transmission service just to be certain everything was in good order. No more slipping, no more warning lights--the car drives well without any transmission issues. All totaled, with the valve body replacement and shipping the car home, I ended up paying just about the same amount that Ooroo's techs originally quoted me on the phone just to replace the valve body. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. read more

I knew the thermostat in my 2018 XT5 Cadillac was going to need to be replaced. I knew from research that it would be a labor intensive repair ($$$) at the local dealership. One day it finally failed and I drove right to OOROO Oro Valley. The vehicle had to sit there for the weekend but I was assured that it would be parked inside (and it was !!!). First thing Monday morning I received a phone call with an accurate repair estimate for the job and gave the go ahead. Early Monday afternoon my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Although the bill for services was expensive I know for a fact that it was a lot less than I would have paid at the dealership and I most likely would have been waiting at the very least 3 or 4 more days for my vehicle. My XT5 is running flawlessly and I couldn't have asked for better service. I'll be back !!! read more

Great service, very friendly & good value! I called a few places to get a quote for new front struts for my SUV. I called and spoke with Leroy; they had vey competitive prices, got back to me quickly and Leroy was very friendly and explained everything in layman's terms to me. They got my car in quickly, work was done quicker than expected and they offered a free shuttle service. Although, truth be told, I could've stayed there all day working on my laptop. The had a table and chairs, sofa area, coffee, snacks and amazing views of the mountains inside. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car here again. read more

Third time using OOROO, and just as happy and satisfied as ever. I called Friday for an appointment, needing an oil change on my car. Easily booked it for this morning. Turns out my daughter's car wouldn't start this am, and I was able to add it to the service. They called as they arrived, on time, and quickly did the work. It was clean and the cost was very reasonable, especially considering they came to me. Highly recommend. And will use again. Excellent communication. I do have a job that will require a visit to their shop, but for most typical stuff they can do it where you are. That is a great convenience. read more

WOW! Jorge and Jose came out to fix what another mechanic (from a different company) had messed up (to jump a battery he hooked the terminals up backwards and said "oops". Even with two battery packs, he couldn't get it jumped.). These two came out, were highly personable, and got straight to work. Clearly they knew what they were doing. They started it easily. They reassured us that the first guy hadn't hurt the battery or blown a fuse. They said the alternator was fine (something the first guy said he couldn't check, though usually it's on a battery pack). They answered all our questions. We feel quite reassured that the RV is fine, listened to a couple suggestions they had, and actually had a pleasant, stress-free visit with car mechanics. Yehaa! We would highly recommend them and this mobile service company. read more

We subscribe to the VIP club and don't regret that decision made a few years ago. Check into that as it is a solid value -- today's work was covered by our club membership. The place has a homey vibe inside,not like the average repair joint, super clean, the lounge area has snacks, TV, coffee etc. They are not the least expensive, but I've always been satisfied, as well as my wife. Recently used the OOROO 2U service for an oil change and wow. They came out to my office, picked up my keys and did my oil change in the parking lot while I was busy at work. My car was ready and waiting long before quiting time and I was out almost zero time. I have 2 young kids so scheduling time for an oil change feels like a juggling act. Now in the future I'll just schedule OOROO2U to come to my house and get both mine and my husband's cars while my kids are happily entertained at home and I can still get stuff done around the house. EXCELLENT diagnosis and service, even to the point of telling me I hadn't driven enough to need an oil change!

Avoid. I started out using their mobile service on a couple of jobs and thought it was great until my next oil change. My toyota truck had to be sent to the dealer by the next shop (oil change) because the drain plug was so over-torqued by their tech. And on my porsche they tried to use a boxster filter and Pennzoil on a 911 without letting me know but I caught them. So I figured.. maybe just go to the shop... set an appointment two weeks in advance... i specifically requested they have all the parts and Mobil 1 oil in advance of the visit.... I arrive on time... and they are unprepared after weeks of notice... they say they will need the car for at least 8 hours.... and confirmed they didn't order any of the parts including not having the correct oil on hand... may take longer than a day.... to do a pre-planned approx. $300 oil change with a promise to have the parts in advance. Very disappointing. I am probably lucky to avoid the service... who knows what careless thing might have occured? (owner can feel free to call me anytime btw) read more

I have used OOROO five times now. Time number 3 was a major tune-up on my 2010 Infiniti G-37 for which the dealer wanted just shy of $1000. I gave OOROO a list of every item the dealer said they would do. OOROO did every item on the list for about $600. I looked at all the belts and hoses they put on and all were first quality. The car runs perfectly. They not only get a good rating on yelp but on Google as well. I rate them an A+ read more
