I love this place! Starting off with the gym itself; top notch equipment (a lot that you won't find in other gyms), clean and the layout is organized intentionally to give each member enough space. Appreciate that the coaches don't overpack the space so you never have to worry about waiting for a machine/area. There's a fridge with preworkout/electrolytes and fountain so there's always cold water during workouts. For coaches, Adam and Zach are very professional and knowledgeable in their field. I've been working out for over 15+ years (basic knowledge) but finally able to learn how to properly lift without anymore shoulder pain. I am also learning techniques that don't aggravate my body while able to lift more. Adam is my personal trainer and words don't do him justice. He's fully invested in my health and growth in both strength training and as a person. He will push me to my limits but also adjust exercises on the spot when needed. Long story short: Adam is the best trainer! Adam has been training me for two years now. Before Adam, I had tried following home programs on YouTube and Fitness Blender, larger group fitness classes, and two different personal trainers. I had given up on all of them for lots of different reasons: work outs got boring and repetitive; coaching/learning styles didn't mesh; not enough focus on form for beginners like me; not enough progression. Sometimes it's an old friend commenting how strong I look now, or lifting something that looked heavy but wasn't, or just a glimpse of myself in the mirror and seeing my muscles. I am incredibly happy with the results I got from training with Adam! I highly recommend Adam and Aesthetic Bodies OC as a personal trainer. A few notes on the facility: The gym is in a great location near the 405/55 and John Wayne airport. It has plenty of parking in the front, back, and sides of the building. There are lockers and cubbies to store your item. Lots of bathrooms. There are private showers in the changing rooms. Plenty of machines and free weights for everyone training. I have seen new equipment get added. The gym houses several personal trainers like Adam and a nutrition shop. It can get busy but it is still less crowded than peak time at a large gym chain. read more

He answered any technical questions I had about the lifts I was doing and why he chose them for accomplishing my specific fitness goal. The gym was clean and lots of parking. Adam is a caring coach who tailors the workout routine to fit your goals and your needs. One size doesn't fit all. Lifestyle, goals, age, etc are all factors. I rarely write reviews on Yelp, so let me tell you why Adam deserves this 5-star review.  In the past, I've had a few personal trainers that I've worked with (from chain gym), and I can tell you some were 'slacking.' I was mostly using the same machine/routine and barely had any free weight exercises. One of the things that really pissed me off was sometimes my trainer disappears for 10 minutes when I'm still doing my thing ( he also comes to work late), and I felt like my time & money were being wasted.  !!! ADAM IS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF ALL OF THE ABOVE !!! 3 things why I like Adam as my trainer:  1) Responsible:  N-O he does not disappear out of nowhere during my sessions. He's always there to guide my form and spot me when I can't handle the last few reps. Also, he's punctual in terms of being on time and super responsive via text/IG message if you message him with any questions you may have. 2) Professional:  During the last 10 months of training with him, I learned a lot about proper form and technique that ensured that I targeted the right muscle groups and prevented unwanted injuries during the workout. He's also knowledgeable in nutrition, which helped me a lot when I started my fitness journey. He would recommend things I should eat and portion control! As I am from Taiwan, I tend to eat more cultural foods (which sometimes are not the most balanced and nutritional for a meal). His portion control and ingredient swap suggestion really helped me enjoy eating more nutritional food where I don't need to sacrifice too much. *Ugh, no, I'm not in for baked salmon/chicken breast+ veggie mix all the time*  3) Motivational:  Adam challenges you, but he keeps it within your limits. He knows when to add that progressive overload to your routine, which is key to excel in physical strength and endurance. Another thing I enjoy is that he's easy to talk to and that makes the session super enjoyable. So far, I really enjoy working with him for almost one year, and I can definitely see the progress I've made and the change in my physique/posture. Even my friends/family have noticed the change too! I have been training with Coach Adam for 7 months. It's been an amazing journey every step of the way... So much that I recruited my partner to join me in this journey as well. I found out about Aesthetic Bodies OC by going down one of those deep dives on IG looking up old classmates/friends from high school that happened to be a former client of Coach Adam's (like "oh i wonder how such and such is doing." LOL I'M A CREEP). I was SO DARN impressed by her results that I followed the Aesthetic Bodies OC IG account. A combination of inconsistency in my workout plan/diet and scouring his IG to look at other clients' results fueled me to bite the bullet and reach out for his personal training services. It's the best investment I've made for my body and health this year. Prior to training with Coach Adam, I had always been intimidated by the gym. I was one of those people that would steer clear of free weights and machines, only to stick solely to the elliptical. 7 months in, I can confidently say with Coach Adam's guidance and motivation, that is definitely not the case anymore. With the workouts he teaches during our sessions, I can incorporate them into my schedule when I'm on travel. Because of Coach Adam, I'm happy to say I'm one of those people who looks forward to the gym and each training session. Progress aside, I beyond thankful to Coach Adam for always pushing me. Training with Adam has resulted in an incredible physical and mental transformation. My initial goals were to: lose body fat, gain muscle definition, and learn how to take care of my body from a exercise & nutrition lens. You can feel good if you go from assisted pushups, to bodyweight pushups, to pushups with additional weight on your back. What makes Adam stand out: - He cares about each client, including what our life outside of strength training looks like (our emotional health that week, life events, life goals, nutrition, exercise regimen, etc). With Adam, fitness involves so much more than just showing up at the gym and getting a workout in. It involves how we take care of ourselves outside of the gym - which affects how we show up. - He's incredibly encouraging and has NEVER made me feel guilty for having a cheat meal, or falling off of my workout routine one week. Adam's motto is that one bad day, doesn't make a bad week. - Most importantly, Adam encourages incorporate fitness in way that's sustainable for YOU. Not everyone has the same amount of time to dedicate towards fitness. And that's okay. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to reaching your goals. You don't need to be at the gym 5 days a week, training hardcore. You can do it at a sustainable pace that fits your lifestyle, while enjoying food you love, and still reach your goals.
