Awful awful company. Charged more than double of what they quoted. The third party that delivered the furniture confirmed that we were more than double charged. Also measured everything to confirm the over charges. Call the police and file a report when they do the same to you. Even better, DO NOT USE them. Will provide a full detailed report to BBB, Board of Transportation and all other websites. Shame on them and their owner Allen Natanel. Currently discussing with lawyers their unethical behavior and what can be done so they do not do the same to other people. They defraud people because they found a loophole through the credit card agreement. Credit card company in good faith reimbursed part of their fraudulent charges. read more

We currently moved offices from Manhattan to Brooklyn. We spoke with Jordan who set up the entire move which was seamless. Very thorough and knew what he was talking about. The actual move went well too. Jon and a crew of 3 others moved us out efficiently and smooth. We just had to tell them where to put things which was the easy part. Quite literally the worst experience I've ever had with a company. They charged me a 300 dollar cancellation fee for canceling within 72 hours of my move date without sending me any terms of agreement or notifying me that were was a cancellation fee until after it was too late to cancel. I sincerely believe their methods for handling my case were intentionally manipulative and I never wish anyone to have to go through the same experience. read more

I had to move some stuff from PA to NY. Called this company up. They came and handled it professionally and on time. We packed the little things and they handled the big stuff. They used moving blankets. To my surprise I expected some things to get dinged up, but everything came in intact just the way it left. I would use again if needed!! read more

Absolutely horrendous and disgusting. Movers showed up drunk and high, dancing around in circles on delivery date. They lost 30 of our boxes and refuse to give our items back. They notified me that they found my duffel bag and names what was inside. A month ago when I called them they said they did not have it. They are holding my boxes and totes hostage. On the pick up they demanded a tip. On delivery they forced me to sign the paperwork before opening the truck. They said if you don't sign you will be charged extra and used threats to make me sign the form. Absolutely heartbreaking knowing my boxes and totes won't be getting back to me. Very poor experience - would not recommend. - Despite being quoted a moving time of 12-4pm, the movers arrived at 3:15pm and took almost 5 hours. - Due to the restrictions on evening moves that many buildings have in New York, my family and I were required to carry many items to/from the truck to try and meet any sort of reasonable time frame. - I was charged by my building an additional fee due to the late move time and requested compensation from Expedite to help offset this. I was met with a very dismissive response from management referring me to a third party claims service, showing little regard for customer care. read more

Expetite Movers came to my home on June 18th at 10am. They asked me what I wanted to have moved. I said you have the list of things. They started taking some of the furniture and things out. I had to go to my closing and my husband was still in the house, and they said to my husband the boxes were heavy, you gonna kill us before the job gets done. I told them about the electric fireplace. They were gonna charge 120.00 more to wrap, 250.00 for a glass table. Then they had the nerve to say there were bed bugs in the house. Which is definitely not true. Right there they stopped doing any work after only being in the house 1 hour. They took what they put on the truck back in the house and said to my husband we are charging you 350.00 cancellation fee. My husband said to them they are crooks, they left.He reported them to the BBB. I reported them to my bank in the fraud dept. They are a fraud moving company located in Rahway NJ, and they should be shut down, fined, indicted for nickel and dining people. read more

I have to say, the moving crew that came to my parents house was wonderful. Really worked with them on the pricing and when a mistake was made, they owned up to it, honored their deal, and kept moving forward. They took excellent care of my parents' things and were very patient with them (who are older) and my sister (who suffers from mental illness). The price was great, the service, attention to detail, and careful handling of all situations that arose really made me comfortable with them. They were professional and calming, took care of everything for us. When I move, they will be the first people I call for an estimate. It's rare to find a moving company so good. Between all of us in the family and the many moves we have made through the years, this is the first I've had that I would consider a 5 star encounter the whole time. read more

Spoke to Jordan on the phone initially, who was polite till the day of the actual move ... the main guy Perry is such a criminal that he refused to move the furniture from the truck till we paid them in advance, stalling and eating into the work hours .... plus they are so slow, giant lumbering sloths who deliberately dragged their feet .... then the lead guy Perry called his men away, who were in the middle of work, without informing us and leaving us in the lurch .... and now they are conveniently not picking up the phone ... please avoid this company like the plague, or for a more recent example, avoid them like Covid 19! read more

I needed to move my entire household from Staten Island to upstate. I spoke with Jordan and the communications were excellent. The three young men who loaded their truck (I had everything packed, having a lot of experience in moving), supervised by a very nice young man named Johan, did it quickly and, once upstate unloaded just as quickly. If I could give them a big fat zero, I would! Shameful! We hired them to pack and move the entire contents of our house across country and they did achieve that, however minus quite a few items. In addition to that 2 days after we moved some creep used my social security number and my maiden name to order a phone and had it delivered to my house that we moved from. He waited in front of our home for the phone to be delivered. This explains why all of the personal items we packed ourselves were all gone thru. That social security card with my maiden name is still missing! When I reported it to Jordan he was very carefree about it. My recommendation, unless you want , identity theft, to be stolen from or shaken down for more money after they had every single belonging of yours on the truck already, don't use them! Oh and to boot somewhere it says your items are only insured for 60 cents a pound. Thats what you get for paying cash and tipping the workers well, Not nice! Awful from the start. The quote we received was not worth the paper it was written on. When calculating the estimate, we asked for an overly conservative one, factoring in supplies, additional hours, even having them pack for us, a worst case quote. Still someone the actual cost was almost double. When we asked the movers on site they merely said they couldnt do anything about it. Secondly the crew was 6hrs late, and had none of the 30 large boxes we had ordered, that were included in our estimate. We opted to use their storage, and we when we scheduled to have the goods delivered to our new address the second crew was horrible. All they did was complain about how much stuff we had. We paid to have them assemble our furniture and when they finished putting together our bed they still had about 6 extra bolts that they didnt know where to put. Not to mention the fact they damaged the bed, and lost some of our boxes. Ive moved cross country numerous times and this is by far the worst experience Ive had. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Worst moving company ever. I booked my move two months ahead yet when the team showed up they were unaware that I had requested a full pack and move to a different state. The guy I spoke to about my move, Jordan, conveniently forgot or as he stated "it was a miscommunication" regarding me needing a complete packing service. Needless to say, the quote ballooned to an additional $2K which was about 1,200 more than my original move to Philly from NYC. Of course, I didn't find out how much this move would be until they had all my stuff loaded on the truck. I just love extortion, it really brings people together. The packers did a terrible job and mixed items from different rooms together while labeling the box for one single room. The took all of my jewelry from a hanging organizer off and just threw it in a box. I have no idea how long it will take to untangle all of that! My computer screen and contents from desk I told them I needed ASAP in the new place but the monitor never made. Have no idea if it's packed somewhere or if it didn't make off the truck. I had items going into storage and they've mixed those things up with items I needed to keep in the new place. They didn't take my clothes out of my dresser and the dresser was going into the storage pod. Took me forever to realize that they hadn't taken the clothes out. Who does that? All in all, I would NOT recommend them. Find someone else. I did go back to them with my issues but heard nothing from them. I'm hugely concerned about the condition my things are in and the moment this virus lock down is over I'll have to hire another team to help me repack this move which will be an additional cost. If you do hire them get everything in writing and make sure you know how they formulated the cost. They had the packing time and the drive time lumped together and my move was out of state so that is 3hrs. And watch the packers like a hawk or suffer the consequences. read more

I originally spoke to Jordan Zemlock on July 20, 2018. He seemed very nice, knowledgable and was fast with providing me an estimate for the items we were planning on shipping. The quote was for $1,354.65, based on our items and the square footage. Before signing, we discussed the process and how our belongings would be transported with other's belongings on a freight truck to reduce the pricing for everyone. We also discussed the timing would take around 3-4 days, as the items would be driven down and there would be a few stops on the way. After this conversation, I felt good about our decision and signed the estimate for $1,354.65. A week before our pick up, my husband inquired about adding some items, such as a bicycle. mattress, and boxspring. The new quote came in at $1,732.70. This price was higher than I wanted to pay, so I requested that he remove our large dresser, dresser mirror, 2 bar stools, and the tv box that was originally included within the estimate. I never recevied another estimate, just an email that said, "Ok, no problem". On the day of the move (today), the movers came, packed up our belongings and were very efficient. We signed a bunch of papers, and we were told we wont know the actual price until the end when they measure the square footage on the truck. He couldnt even give us an estimate, and told us the moving software that the company uses is inaccurate. Long story short, upon time of measurement, the price was raised to over $2,000, more than the second estimate, which did not include the items we had requested to remove from it. We are absolutely outraged by this, that we were given an estimate so far off to deceive and trick us into being a customer of Expedite Moving in the first place. Then on top of that, we asked when we would expect to receive our belongings at our destination (Tampa, Florda). The mover then explained about the 20 day window, which was the first time I heard about this, as I mentioned above, Jordan explained we would have our things 3-4 days after loading/our available date at the new place. After this was shared, I called Jordan immediately, as this was not discussed with me prior. I work from home and need my things the day I move into our new apartment, and I would have never agreed to this. Jordan shared that he 100% told me this, becasue this is what he tells everyone, but everyone always complains after about it along with the pricing. Number 1- if everyone complains about the same thing, don't you think something is wrong with the business model? Number 2- Jordan never told me the 20 day window rule. I was sure of this, even though he was persuading me to think I just overlooked it in our initial conversation. He then shared it is written in small print on the estimate. So I went back to the inital estimate and it did show a delivery window, but it was 14 days. Then i looked at the new one, not thinking the estimate template changed, nor did Jordan tell me it did, and it had a 20 day window. I called Jordan back after this to share he never told me about the 20 day window (again) and the estimate didn't have 20 days at the time. However, he did not even tell me about a 14 day window. The only thing we talked about was that I would recieve our things 3-4 days tops. This was always the case and why I booked the company. They were able to deliver our things a few days later, but to our dismay, multiple items were broken, some that could not be replaced. Our TV was shattered, our tv stand was cracked, desk broken, slow cooker, the list goes on. Their insurance company only offered $30 for everything- which was over 1,200 worth of stuff!! We are very unhappy with their services and feel 100% deceived by Expedite Moving. Jordan wouldn't even give us the managers contact information and finally gave me his email address but said this is all he could do and that he probably wouldn't respond. The mover also said he won't answer phone calls. What is he protecting the company from? The face of the company should respond to situations like this right away and treat their customers (happy or dissactifcied) with respect, understanding, and assistance when situations like this come about. These are hands-down the WORST movers I've ever had the displeasure of contacting. Not only did they create a hole in our wall after having to break down our couch to fit it through the hallway, they had zero organization while packing, didn't put furniture where we wanted it placed, AND packed literal garbage into our boxes. Now we are stuck having to re-organize everything and having to do the heavy lifting ourselves of our furniture. I will never use this moving company again and I want my money back!!!!! read more

I called FIVE moving companies in the NYC area before I chose Expedite. I had to make a 90 mile move from NWNewJersey up to the Northern Bronx. Josh was the only guy to give me a good quote, but explaining it would be more if I added on more boxes, furniture, etc. I did end up adding more things, but still my final bill was very reasonable. Jerry and his guys, especially Sheldon and Dexter were fast but consciences. I have a lot of inherited pieces, antiques. The whole move was basically painless. So glad I went with them. They also know the NJ/ NYC area which is key to making good time. Very nice guys. Strongly recommend. read more

Would like to give "NO STARS". They did damages to our floors after dropping a very heavy piece of furniture, not only gauging our floors but denting the furniture. Also putting our heavy dining room table on its side in the truck and making it bow and scratched the stainless steel corners of it. Nice men awful movers. Their insurance company CSI was even worse. They don't send an adjuster, but give you a small window of time to send estimates and photos (which we did) then offered us $100. When I contacted an owner (Allen) who said there were "NO" damages, even after seeing the photos. He said we didn't take additional insurance, which their salesman, Jordan, never mentioned. I highly recommend that you find another mover. The 3 Stooges would be better! read more

Terrible experience. They charged almost twice the initial quote, justifying it with the fact that the fact that the actual movers knew nothing about the initial quote and only go by cubic feet. Also, they shattered the TV, the slow cooker, a few plats and mugs and a wooden TV desk. When we sent an email asking the owners to address the situation, we received a one-line reply saying "Attach is a claims form. Please file a claim for compensation." They wouldn't even provide a phone number to speak with someone. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

This is by far the worst experience in my life. They gave me a quote and after wrapping, loading everything and putting it in the truck, they forced me to pay double. This Jordan that they have answers the phone is their negotiator puppet and he lacks respect and professionalism. I have never dealt with people that low in my life like these people. Johnathan and two of his guys said they will take care of me and boy they did, they charged me twice the quote. Not to mention Isaac the guy who delivered my stuff. He insisted that the semi truck won't fit in the complex I moved to, just to shuttle for an extra 500 dollars even though the complex manager assured me that semi trucks unload in the complex all the time. Isaac was so unprofessional and used profanity in front of me and my little children. My kids were scarred by the unsettling situation that this company had us go through. Moreover, I didn't get the service that I was originally quoted for, let alone the missing and broken items. I used this company last year and recommend you NOT use them. I had many boxes moved and it took me a very long time to go through all of them as I was unpacking by myself. Over time, I started noticing that many items that I'd packed were missing -- articles of clothing, household items, a clock from Bolivia which was a gift (so sad about this), along with other items. Then I recalled that at one point during the move, I left to get cash to tip the three movers, leaving these criminals alone with my boxes. Should never have tipped them at all!! Please, people. Read and believe the one star reviews this company is getting. Believe them! If Expedite doesn't get you one way, trust me - they will get you in another. Absolutely the worst company as far as estimating for the job. Most people don't move often, so you rely on the supposed experience of these guys to be able to reasonably estimate the time needed to do a job. How crappy at your job do you have to be to off nearly 100% ? The crew that came to my house to do the actual move were excellent. They were careful and did wrap items properly. I have stone tops on a bedroom set that have to be crated/wrapped. Jordan failed to mention that. Jordan, who gave me the quote should be fired for incompetence. Either that or they just normally do business this way to make the money. Its not like the day of the move you can shop for another company. If you decide to use this company, just double the quote for a real price. read more

The job was to have begun at 10:00 am. The hydraulic lift on the truck broke down, which meant that my grand piano, amongst other items, could not be moved until this repair issue was resolved. The truck finally arrived at the 8-mile destination over 7 hours later. I paid a piano handling fee of $300. One would hope that to be money well-spent for experienced handling. NOT. There was a short landing of 6 stairs entering my apartment. 4 movers: 1 in front, 1 on either side, 1 in the rear. The left-side moved lost his footing and my 800-pound instrument slid down the stairs (fortunately, it was wrapped), crashing into a wall and creating a huge hole. OK. Walls can be repaired. My piano wasn't damaged. There's more. When it came time to attach the pedal box, etc., THEY ASKED ME HOW TO DO IT! Other than breaking a vintage ceiling fixture because of common sense ineptitude, I was rid of them by 10:30 pm. Complaints aside, they worked hard. Training. Do any moving companies train on HOW to do the job, or do they merely hire anyone who needs work, and appears to be able? read more

Don't use this company. First off, Jordan, the sales rep is a liar. We asked about all the fees, if there's any hidden fees, etc. He explained that there would be none and laid out the costs. We were scheduled for 8-10AM. Closer to 9:30, the driver calls and says they have a flat tire and the ride would be pushed more to 12-12:30. Around 11AM we call Jordan who says don't worry they're on their way. Around 12:30 the driver calls saying they're still working on the flat tire. When we called Jordan back he said let me find out and call you back and never did. Finally, the movers come 6 hours late. They start charging you the second they pull into the location and then waste as much time as possible talking. Then they start saying to take TVs, mirrors are additional charges. When speaking to Jordan/the movers they won't budge in price even though they're 6 hours late. This is just to move a 1 bedroom apartment too. They took 2 hours to drive up to the location. They chipped/scuffed the walls & floors. Our couch was dirty. They broke the arm off the computer chair and then at the end try to charge for an additional half hour unless we help them and get everything out in 10 mins. So you hire movers to alleviate doing the work but instead they put you to work too. We were told they assist with assembling/disassembling. They didn't do a single thing beside load and unload. I filled out an online request for moving quotes from Astoria, NY to San Antonio, TX. Several people responded. Carol at Expedite Moving called and sent some emails. I didn't call her back immediately and went with a different company. Since I had been in an email exchange with her, I let her know I was going with a competitor. One month before the move, the competitor called to say they had mis-quoted me the rate and it would be more expensive. I declined and got back in touch with Carol. She was very nice and accommodating. I was nervous about the move itself. The day before they called to confirm the time and address. The next day, they called to tell me they were on their way. They were efficient wrappers and had everything well protected. I didn't think the glass top to my sideboard would arrive in one piece, however. They drove away and I wondered if I would ever see my furniture again or what extra price I would have to pay. The furniture arrived six days later to San Antonio by a couple of guys driving an 18-wheeler. Everything inside was organized into tightly packed compartments. Nothing had a scratch, the glass top wasn't broken and no money was requested. We tipped them twenty bucks and they were thrilled. The price I quoted was within $50 of the final price. The move was smooth and I am so glad I went with them. I would highly recommend them based on my experience. read more
