put brakes on backwards on one of my cars, mis-diagnosed cv axle repair, put new cv axles on car only for it not to be the problem, replaced brake pads on my car that had a warped rotor, replaced half shaft for transmission that was good. Has not returned after several phone calls, conveniently kept my old parts for obvious reasons. He was always paid in full. He also over-charged me and the cost was different every time he did a repair. I would strongly suggest not to use this guy-he is ok with simple repairs but is lost when it comes to technical repairs. He owes me money for repairs that were not necessary. read more

I am so impressed! My Prius C wouldn't start this morning, so I called a bunch of mobile repair places only to be told that they won't even look at hybrids. Brian was very courteous on the phone and asked a few questions to make sure he had all the necessary equipment he would need when he came to my home. Within an hour, he was working on my car. He immediately discerned the problem (my secondary battery had died), and he had my car up and running in no time. He charged a fair price, too. This shop is a rare find. My daughter broke down on I-75 after front axle/gear failure. I was desperate to get her car to a repair shop that would be honest and diligent in their assessment. I searched for good reviews and found Auto Express. Brian was a hero for us this week! Because of his diagnosis, we were able to determine that the breakdown was caused by an $8000 botched repair in Tampa 3 weeks ago! He was thorough and so incredibly helpful even though insurance insisted we transport the car back to original shop in Tampa to re-do the repair. He didn't make any money and continued to be helpful and kind through the end. I wish he was in Houston! He would be my mechanic for life! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! Started out having my car towed to his shop because I was referred by a mutual friend. Told mus the crankshaft sensor was bad. So we authorised repairs. A few days later went to pick up car, and he didnt even start the repair but wanted $425 up front.Who gets paid before even doing the work?! Gave him $300 anyway. A few more days later, says its not the sensor says its the ECU and says he cant find one, well I found one on the internet in less than 20 minutes, ordered it and brought it to him 4 days later. After yet another 4 days said car was done. After spending $200 on the ECU and another $125 for his "labor" Took my car, which stalled 3 times and broke down with the same exact problem, and he also threw out my other ECU (LIE) and installed a new battery without any authorization . Always said one thing and did another. Was sarcastic and after inspecting his work he cut out connectors and butchered my wiring, never properly mounted my ECU. Basically dont think he did half the stuff I was billed for.either. But managed to get a $150 refund since he "threw out" my original ECU after nasty comments were made. Basically people if you want to throw away your hard earned money go ahead and call this guy.He states hes a master mechanic but I wouldnt have him change my oil. If I could post pictures I would.Couldnt even sell my car for what I had to pay this joker. No honesty or integrity with this shop STAY AWAY CONSUMERS!!!! You've been warned! read more

Wanted to purchase a vehicle and found Auto Ex on Yelp (mobile auto). Called him to meet me at the location to do a complete check of the vehicle to see if it was worth it or if it was a lemon.He came very professional and I was impressed from the start.As he completed the vehicle check he advised there was a few things that need to be done mostly cosmetic but based on the year of the car it was a good buy. He said there was a little oil leak but nothing to be worried about right now. Told me if I purchased it bring the vehicle back to him and there would be no charge for him to look over again. Whatever need to be fix he would let me know and give me the charges for the items to be fixed but he wouldn't charge me again to look over it. I paid him the $95 agreed upon from prior to check the car, we went over his complete description of items that need attention and I promised to call him once I purchased the car. I bought the car but never drove the car other than driving it from the dealer to my home. 3 weeks later I finally drove the car after driving it for a day, I found several problems he never noted in his detail check of the car. The horn was not working, the transmission was leaking, the breaks was giving problems to name a few......I called him and we agreed for me to bring in the car to look at the issues. I get there he agrees with me on the transmission fluid leak, the horn and tells me he must have told me. My question to him was, you gave me a full details of items to fix but no where on the list was there mention of the transmission leak nor the horn. He then tells me he's charging me $45 for the check when I reminded him of his word he tells me he will credit it back when I bring the car back to have the transmission leak fixed. He offered to fill back up the transmission fluid, I told him no I will do it myself but he insisted and then charged me $20 to fill the transmission smh. Gives me a estimate of $850 to seal the transmission leak. After paying him the $65 I left and took the car to 3 other mechanics to get an estimate on the leak all 3 estimates came back between $450- $485. Auto Express estimate $850 smh. In addition to his overpriced estimate, none of the other mechanics charged to me check the car. I will never refer him to anyone, karma is a bitch, so shes going to be looking for you BRIAN. read more
