Great experience today with my move. I called them Thursday and today I am in my new apartment!! My things were packed and delivered so fast I could not believe it. Really impressed with Expo Movers! What I wanted and more from a moving company! I received estimates from 3 companies, Expo Movers being one of them. I went with Expo primarily due to Ivan's professionalism and kindness when he came out to do the estimate (all fo the estimates were roughly around the same price wise). I also liked that he seemed willing to make our moving day as easy as possible for us, and wasn't worried about all the little things. For example, I wanted some shelves unmounted and remounted at the new place. Ivan's response to all of this was just "no problem". One of the other companies that came out, as a comparison, told me it would probably just be better to use Task Rabbit. Day of the move went seamlessly. They showed up on time, packed everything up and arrived at the new place within a few hours, much faster than I expected. They took care of a few shelves, unmounting and remounting, 3 TVs, and packed and unpacked everything (disclaimer: I did purchase the packing and unpacking). Bottom line, everyone who helped us was extremely friendly, they did an outstanding job, and we didn't need to worry or think about a thing. My family and I thankfully found Expo Movers years ago during a move from NYC to Rhode Island. Since then, we have used their top notch services many times. The most recent project was far more complex because it was cross country - from NJ to California. As if that wasn't difficult enough, part of the NJ items had to be stored for a couple of weeks and then delivered to NYC. The remaining majority was going to California. We called Laura and she said "no worries we've got you" - and per usual she did. Adrian, who we've worked with before, was leading the NJ packing so we had full confidence that he'd exceed our expectations- and per usual he did. The very pleasant surprise was working with Eddie and his team for the first time. They handled the Herculean California drive and unload. From the booking person, to the movers team led by John , and with Alex and Nadir The booking was great, and there was a lot of back and forth because of information I needed to have for the move to a coop, the booking person was completely patient, through and kept her eye on the details and completed her task dutI fully This was a difficult move. A few days before expo movers , a special service was hired to move a piece of furniture where there was damage. But when John and his team led by him came, and did something you don't see these days. Complete professionalism, admirable in fact. not only was John and his team professional , got the job done without any problems or excuses. John was great company , when in the end I tipped him a bit more as the leader. He said we work as a team it's equal. You don't see this type of thing anymore, unless it's people just advertising themselves as it. i had delicate furniture, music equipment , and most things needed to be packed. John helped me help myself, he gave me boxes I needed without me thinking it when I said I had few things I needed to pack for myself There was one box with a kitchen knife, John was not happy with how it Was even though it was ok for me. And repacked it When we arrived , he did everything and beyond , without a word when we arrived at the new place, he rememebered what was in each box and asked me where it should go. Things that you would not remember in a move. like this had the winter jackets and that was the stuff from the old living room All of which was not labeled. That was something else All in one. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with expo movers. They were incredibly honest, up-front, reliable, and helpful. They also did an excellent job with our cross-country move despite our not having a new address until shortly before our delivery date and us needing to store our goods for an extra week or so over the holidays. Price was also super reasonable. Truly I've never had such a pleasant experience with a moving company!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat if I could (can you please service LA, too??! :)) I should also add that they were super prompt, understanding, and helpful in addressing the couple of items that got a little damaged during the move (damage was limited and understandable, in case you're wondering). Story time: Expo Movers saved my bacon. While 3000 miles away from New York, on vacation to see my family in the first time in over a year, I got a call from my boss that we'd come upon an opportunity to pick up 30+ motorized standing desks for free (+moving costs). The only catch? We had to get them out of their current office in less than 24 hours, and there was NO way we'd be ready to move them into OUR office for at least two weeks. I immediately scoured the internet for options. One of the first people to reply was Ivan of Expo movers, with a solution for my sudden heavy duty moving needs, a storage solution with an indefinite move-in date, and a simple online-pay option. We ended up changing the date on them two or three times because of various and sundry problems (coordinating everyone in our office to clean off their old desks, getting permission from a cagey management company, re-doing our entire floor plan), and every time Ivan was completely calm and understanding. We even added two extra stops on our route to deposit extra desks, and the added fee was very reasonable. I genuinely cannot communicate what a load off his kindness & flexibility was, at a time I was quietly melting down from the stress. We hired Expo Movers to move us last month and we couldn't have been happier with them. Great company! We are definitely calling them if we need to move again. When we called for quotes, they were quick to respond. They do flat rate pricing which we liked better than hourly rates, but it required listing all the furniture. While doing that, Adrian suggested to send someone in-person to get a better estimate. Ivan came by the next day, took inventory and answered all our questions. At this point, we were impressed by Expo already since no one else offered to come to take a personal look. Plus, Ivan was very professional, so when we got the estimate, it was reasonable and we agreed right away. On moving day (a very cold day in February, by the way) the guys moved quick. There were 4 guys, Yuri, Radu, Dorin and Denis and they were great. They handled 2 apartments before lunch and finished in the late afternoon. Furniture were handled carefully with no damages or scratches. And they were friendly too, which made what would be a stressful day less so. At the end of it all, we were so tired from the move, and all we did was stand around and answer questions! Can't imagine about these guys. The team arrived at the new home location timely and got to work immediately. Adrian has you do run throughs of the old home and new to ensure everything is where you want it, nothing was left behind and nothing was broken. I recently completed a cross-country move with Expo Movers. The quote came quickly and it was much easier than with many other moving companies who want to virtual schedule walk throughs and require you fill out a page of all your requirements. Ivan was super responsive throughout the entire process, and his crew were friendly and professional during pick up and delivery. Despite moving during the uncertain time of Covid-19, and with ever-changing guidelines and recommendations on travel, Ivan and his team took safety pre-cautions (wearing masks and gloves) and also stayed in communication via email and phone on where my items were/when they would be shipped. I've never worked with someone in this business who was so on top of things and customer-focused! The quotes Ivan provided were accurate and he was upfront about costs for additional resources (e.g. Sending a shuttle to deliver my items because I was moving to a very hilly area). On top of everything, Ivan also offered to drop off some packing paper for me and gave me tips on how to best pack my items which was above and beyond. Let me start by saying, this is the first time I have ever used a moving company. Expo Movers has exceeded my expectations. Ivan, one of the owners, came out to do an in home estimate. He was the nicest guy! He explained everything thoroughly and answered every question. He also made himself available if we had any questions after the estimate. This was a move from NYC to Florida. Moving day, Ivan came with a team of people to get things in the house wrapped up and loaded onto the trailer while he had another crew at my storage units loading those up. We had 2 storage units and a 2 family house. They were able load both locations within a 4 hour time span which was absolutely AMAZING!!!! My husband and I were in awe as we have done this move ourselves a few times and we watched them move like a well oiled machine. They got to Florida as promised and even gave us up to date ETA along the way which was great. I honestly wouldn't use any other moving company EXCEPT Expo Movers. Ivan is the sweetest guy and he is fair. They accommodated every need we had and did it with a smile.
