I had such a wonderful experience at Fresh Nails!!! I came in last minute for an acrylic French manicure and pedicure, and they were so accommodating. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was very relaxing, welcoming, and uplifting which is just what I needed. A huge shoutout to Moon and Fancy!! They were so sweet, friendly, and professional. They worked quickly (which I prefer because of my own time restraints) and without ever making me feel rushed, and the quality of their work is amazing. My nails came out absolutely beautiful, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Previously I went to Kayla Nails which is near Fresh Nails, but after experiencing the level of friendliness, care, and quality here, I'll only be coming back to Fresh Nails from now on. I'm new to town and on the hunt for a great nail tech I can build a long-term relationship with--my last one did my nails for 5.5 years, so I take this seriously! This was the second salon I've tried locally, and unfortunately, it won't be my place. The location is convenient and the space is clean, which I appreciated. However, I had a 9:30am appointment and the tech didn't arrive until 9:37am. I totally understand waiting if I'm a walk-in, but when I schedule an appointment, I expect my time to be respected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At my previous salon, if a tech was running late, someone might start polish removal or at least offer a beverage. Here, I was just told where to sit and that "she'd be here soon."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have long, natural nails and usually just get gel polish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tech complimented my nails (which was nice), but then insisted I try dip powder to "make them stronger." I politely explained that I've always done gel and it works well for me, but she kept pushing it even after I said no multiple times. It felt like she wasn't really listening to what I wanted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]During my service, the techs (including the one working on me) in the salon were having conversations in their native language. While I absolutely respect that, it made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially as the client sitting there with no idea what was being said around me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then, before I had even paid, the tech asked if I'd be tipping in cash. I always tip, but being asked outright like that felt presumptive and rude. A tip is something I give to show appreciation--not something that should be expected or brought up before checkout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Finally, I booked a $37 gel manicure and was charged $40 with no explanation. It's not a huge difference, but when pricing is clearly listed, I expect it to be accurate. I have been looking for a nail salon locally in Los Gatos that does a good job with longer acrylic nails. The team at Fresh Nails did not disappoint. I, like many of us, have been the victim of uneven and clunky acrylics and was pleased when these turned out both even and not unbearably thick. I believe my nail tech was Moon. She was both super kind and good at her job. I have also just had foot surgery on my foot and got a pedicure and they respected that I couldn't have any type of contact with the scars on my foot and did a great job avoiding them. The overall vibe of the nail salon was very clean and comfortable. There have been quite a few turnovers with owners of this specific nail salon location, but I can confidently say that the staff at Fresh Nails were very professional and knowledgeable. The pricing was fair and competitive for Los Gatos nail salons. Overall, I'd recommend you give Fresh Nails a try if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere with good service and quality results. read more

DO NOT GO to this nail salon. I had my nails done here while visiting for a work trip and had Gel X nails done. The next day i returned home to los angeles and en route my nails were falling off left and right. In 3 days they ALL came off. Those gel extensions are supposed to last at least 2 weeks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the store and spoke to the maanger and even sent her photos and she REFUSED to giv eme a refund. Absolutly ridiculous HORRIBLE customer service. She insisted i fly back and get them redone when I told her that would be impossible as I do not live there and had no plans to return.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am so upset. they were $100 and ive never felt so taken advantage of by a merchant. I also called my bank and tried to get them to force them to give me a refund for faulty services but FRESH NAILS refused to cooperate and apparently federal law protects them if they refuse. sadly this place is a HEALTH HAZARD waiting to happen! (acrylic sets at your own risk...they may look visually pretty in the photos but your health and safety need to be top priority when getting a professional service and at this place, it is not) this may seem harsh but this is a really serious issue that speaks to their ability to care and prioritize your health and safety. I went here to get a new set of acrylic nails. I had my old set on for nearly 5 weeks and my first red flag should've been her saying I could just do a fill. I knew that they needed to be removed because I surpassed the appropriate timeline in order to do a fill safely (nails can get cracked if you fill outside the 2-3 week window). so I asked for them to be removed and redone. she basically ripped my acrylic nails off using an acrylic extension piece and it was painful! While she was ripping one of the nails off, the tool sliced into my nail bed (about half the length of my nail) and made me bleed. it hurt a lot. I now was left with a cracked sore nail with open nail bed wound. she barely batted an eye which shocked me. I assumed she would've said she couldn't continue the service, which is the only ethical solution in this case. I asked if it was even safe to put a nail over a cut like that and she brushed me off as if I was overly anxious and said it was fine that "so much worse has happened to other people and she put an acrylic nail over their nail and it was fine"... NO this is NOT fine. if you know anything about health precautions for acrylics you would know you're never supposed to put an acrylic nail on a cracked nail bed/open wound. it can be very dangerous. I even said "isn't it going to hurt a lot putting those chemicals on an open wound?" and she basically said yes it will but it's fine, nothing to worry about....what the hell. [[HIGHLIGHT]]she started dismissing my concerns over and over acting like I'm being kinda dramatic. while she left for a few mins, I did some research and my concerns were 1000% valid. what she wanted to do was unsafe and could cause reactions, infections or worse[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told her to not do that nail and just do the others. she kept trying to pressure me into doing that one too. subtly gaslighting me and making me feel like I'm concerned for nothing and I'm overreacting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]i had to tell her no multiple times before I finally just said I don't want any of my nails done and to leave just them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]she felt bad which I do feel sympathy for and I considered not leaving this review but I think it's very important to note especially if you wanna get acrylics done here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] on a side note: (I got a gel pedicure and had no issues, it came out great!) but the behavior and lack of consideration for my health was unacceptable and honestly a major red flag. from what she said she made it seem like she's done this many times before, that is unacceptable and an infection or more severe issue waiting to happen... my nail is going to take weeks to grow out and heal and it's sore and painful as I type this. and I won't be able to get an acrylic set for a few weeks at the minimum (I was getting one for a special occasion and now I'll have sanded down bare nails). safe to say I'm never coming back here I hope they take this seriously as constructive feedback and get reeducated on health and safety practices so this does not happen to anyone ever again. in the very least she didn't charge me anything for my nails, and again the gel pedicure was good and no issues. I'm sure this place is okay for other services but be wary about the acrylics or extensions read more
