Amazing work, and amazing attitude. Gerald is definitely a master at what he does and is so humble about how he does it. I started off as pretty conservative about how I wanted my hair to be worked on and coloured, and now, I pretty much let Gerald work his magic. It started off with conservative high and low lights, to an undercut, then strategic colour streaks, and now a full head of bleached. He is always making sure I'm comfortable by checking in with me periodically to make sure I was okay with the length and the texturing-it's something I truly appreciate because rather than just cutting and asking me at the very end how I like my hair, he made sure I was completely satisfied and happy throughout the whole process. Expreme is client friendly. Gerald offers a variety of entertainment choices along with refreshments and snacks. It's beautifully lit with ambient lighting - I care a lot about that because I don't like stale looking studios. It's funny because we just laughed about it the other day when we compared his studio with and without the ambient lighting. He creates a relaxing atmosphere that will let you either relax, catch up on shows, listen to music, or just have great conversations. I've been getting hair cuts/perms/color treatments from Gerald since five or six years ago when I first met him at a well-known salon. I had a coworker who had this super cute short hair style that really suited her. I had to ask her who cut her hair, and that's how I found out about Gerald. After a while he then started working for another salon where he rented a booth, I followed him there, and now, he has his own private studio, of course, I followed him again! Not only is he excellent at what he does (anything related to hair), he's an awesome communicator. He listens patiently and explains in great detail until I understand. I used to be very clumsy when it comes to hair. My hair always bothered me because I didn't know what to do with it. It was frizzy, and there's a LOT of it. (I admit I was lazy too). But Gerald changed all this. He taught me how to blow dry, how to maintain my style, how to take care of the color, which products to use, how to choose a good blow dryer and brush that fit my needs. He never holds back giving me styling tips, which really work wonders. He also cuts my husband's hair too. Hubby is very picky and he goes to Gerald faithfully. Gerald is phenomenal and very talented! When I first walked in, I was very nervous because it was my first time getting color in my hair and I didn't really know what I wanted. I asked tons of questions and he was very patient and answered all my questions. I showed him a couple of pictures of what I envisioned my hair to look like. While he was dying my hair he gave me lots of recommendations on how to maintain the color and the do's and don'ts. He even showed me the proper way to blow dry my hair and how to evenly apply the moisturizer to my hair. I learned so much about how to care for my hair that I didn't know before. Gerald has an eye for detail. He measured the hair dye to make sure it was the perfect shade of purple and blue. He took his time to make sure he dispersed the colors on my hair evenly. What I really love about Gerald is that he is not pushy, he listens to what you want, and his execution was just perfect. Gerald is very passionate and takes pride in what he does. I love my hair.
