We usually call ahead for an appointment with Elaine, but there were several walk ins that were seen within 15-20min and some with no wait at all, so even without an appointment you can get seen quickly. My haircut took 20-25 min, but it will depend on how much you request to be cut. Make sure you communicate what you want upfront, as they don't do too much confirming while doing the cut (aka asking if you like this length after a first cut). Again, no frills but it gets the job done and is very affordable.

When I told her about this terrible hair color she said she was sorry. but she was too busy to fix it. Then several hours later she called me and told me that I could come back after 8 p.m. (I live 45-60 minutes away) and she would fix it after cooking dinner for her husband! This person does not understand English! She also does not understand how to highlight hair! I showed many pictures of what I wanted and she said she could do it. Clean environment although it seems that none of the photos from their website are actually theirs? If you do not speak Chinese, BRING PHOTOS! You should bring photos anyways but it will greatly increase the chances that you'll end up with a haircut you like. If you want to be extra prepared, use Google Translate to describe what you specific want from the photos. I provided a photo but also let my stylist know that I'd be willing to listen to any modifications he had for me, hence why the cut is longer than the inspo pic. I'm relatively happy with my hair. I wish there was an option for slightly more time (cut took about 50 mins, scheduled for an hour). My hair is a bit bulky/thick so I would've liked the sides and maybe bangs to have been thinned out a bit. I definitely could've asked but didn't know if it would have been done in the allotted time. Overall, I'd probably be willing to come back!

When I noticed the cotton swab box covered in hair clippings and thought about how the clippers were probably not sanitized, I became really worried about the risk of infection or disease. After quickly finishing the haircut, I asked the staff if they could provide an injury report stating when and where my son was hurt. The owner's first response was, "I won't charge you, okay? We have cameras here, and I have insurance. I don't have time to write a report." At the same time, another customer, a middle-aged man getting a perm, started verbally attacking me. He called me names like "bitch" and said things like "I'm your dad," which were extremely insulting. He also mocked my son, saying, "Why is a BOY crying over such a tiny cut?" Then he defended the owner, saying I had no right to make business difficult for them. (I don't know the relationship between the customer and the owner or why he was so angry about the situation between me and the shop.) I asked the owner and staff several times to step in and stop the man's verbal abuse, but the owner just said, "Don't say that" gently to the man and told me that you can call the police. The man was their customer, and there was nothing he could do with their customer. Meanwhile, he continued working on the man's hair. In the end, I wrote the injury report myself, which a staff member signed. After paying with my credit card instead of cash, I left. There was no apology or acknowledgment of what had happened the entire time.
