Went into this establishment to get a orchard tea, the man behind the counter said he didn't have any ans said he was too busy and walked away. So I asked him if he had any of the other teas and he said no not right now too busy. Then asked him so what you are saying is not too bother you and he said yes. I proceeded to tell him so you should post a note on the door that you are too busy so people don't bother you, he said okay. I have to admit donuts are trending everywhere and with that comes a stiff price for a fat pill. Sure I have no problem jumping on board and going for that delicious picture perfect gourmet donut and satisfying yourself. It's nice to resort to a clean neighborhood donut shop selling the basics and displaying a nice assortment at a affordable cost. Express Donuts is exactly all that. A super clean store with family behind counter ready to fill your orders or make you something warm off the grill. What I found was a staff very polite and courteous making sure you're well taken care. I dropped in on a Sunday and was lucky to find Blueberry donuts on display. I got a mixed standard dozen that will probably last till Monday morning. What makes this business unique is that it's only open till 8pm and they bake as needed during the day. Hence the reason why you won't find left overs the next day. Yes, everything is served fresh and being in this business, they know what sells the most and what doesn't. Beverages - All the basics like orange juice, milk, water, sodas, teas and coffee. Seating - Very little seating inside but just enough for a handful. 4.5 stars. I love this little mom-and-pop donut shop. The owners and their son are always polite and friendly. Express Donuts serves your standard donut shop fare, but it's fresher and of better quality than most. Their ham-and-cheese-with-jalapenos croissants are excellent, as are their tiger tails. On the weekends they offer tasty blueberry donuts, which are a must-try. I've deducted 1/2 star for the fact that if you arrive late on the weekends (which can be as early as 9:30am), you'll miss out on your favorite donuts. Once they're gone, they're gone. They're not open 24/7 and they don't crank out huge batches of fried pieces of heaven, which probably helps them maintain their high quality. What a fantastic customer experience! Came to the shopping center to grab lunch when my husband spotted donuts. I went in to grab us each one and left with a half dozen... They looked so yummy! I had the worse experience!!! My Husband and I came here for breakfast we both got turkey and cheese croissants ( i was craving them for days-I'm pregnant) so i ordered 2 for myself. I was anticipating the first bite to find myself disgusted!!!! Almost throwing up! The inside was completely raw dough!!! I opened it up and was shocked to see that it was pure yest!!!!!! Yuck! I told the lady over the counter she put them in the over 10mins. Gave them back...and still pure dough! I just threw them away, didn't even bother getting my money back. I don't know why this place only has 4 stars. It should have 5. This little donut shop has been here for years, and it's the best. It's a family owned business, and I love going in there and seeing a family work together. The donuts are delicious, and you can't beat the prices. This is the only donut shop that still offers a dozen donut holes for ONE DOLLAR! This place is popular, and it's one of the only donut shops in the area so a lot of people walk or bike here. If you don't get here early, like most other donut shops, don't be surprised if you can't find something specific. We came in at 8:30 and they had everything from donut holes to ham and cheese croissants. The line was never ending so I'm sure people who slept in might come in and find a more limited selection. Went in the early afternoon around 2 pm. Very limited selection, pricey, terrible service. They charge extra for paying with ATM/Debit. They also charge extra for the sprinkle donuts. I paid $9.00 for half a dozen. NEVER going back again! Nothing special about their flavors, selection or quality. I have visited this establishment 6 times before giving this final review, and 4 times I have left empty handed, once they still didn't have what I came for but owner accommodated, and only once I was able to leave with what I visited for. It is very challenging finding a donut shop that offers turkey and cheese croissant vs the standard ham and cheese. Sometimes I wish I just ate pork so I can grab a quick savory breakfast easily, but that is not the case for me. First time I came here, I saw the great reviews photos indicating that they sell not only turkey and cheese, but also turkey jalapeno and cheese. I came around 10am on a Sunday morning and they informed me that they were all out of both. Okay, so maybe I came too late on a Sunday to be looking for this... I came multiple times after as I mentioned above, even before 7am, and they still don't have it! It gets really frustrating when I keep having to leave empty handed, and I didn't want to give a poor review without giving this place a fair chance. Finally one early morning I came and there was no turkey jalapeno and cheese but the owner offered give me jalapeno on the side so I appreciated the gesture, but for me I have yet to try what I wanted from here. I constantly contemplate whether I should add an extra 10 minutes to my morning commute to work to SEE if they have my potential breakfast, when so far their track record is horrendous. Regardless, I still want to keep giving this place another chance. I was looking at the photos and noticed a sign that shows blueberry donuts on weekends. I wanted to bring blueberry donuts to my place of work on my last day (7 days from now) so on my way home today I decided to stop by YET AGAIN to inquire about special ordering. The boy working at the shop says it's too early to special order and that we can do so even the day before. I ask about ordering blueberry donuts, and he says that they cannot. I am absolutely irritated with this store and their limitations!! How can you continue to run a business when you never have anything or limit them?? It's that time when I just had a craving for an apple fritter after work. It's around 6:30am and no one is in the store. The older lady behind the counter is yelling at someone in the back when I come in but that's ok. Try to order fritter and then go to pay with card and she tells me $4 minimum. I say ok do you charge for under $4 a fee. She repeats $4 minimum and points to sign. I look in wallet and of course not enough change because most places take cards. I say well I don't have cash can you just charge fee and she stares at me, shrugs her shoulders and says oh well! I was shocked and just left. That was very rude and I won't be spending any money in there in the future. Drove down the street to Donut Maker and they had minimum but was friendly and just charged fee. All of it is up to par with the typical donut shop. They have fresh donuts to serve daily and at great price points. So, you may be wondering, why the review? More so, why 5 stars? Two reason. Ham and cheese croissants. It's a simple enough concept. Bake a croissant with white cheese and a piece of ham inside. It's a twist on your everyday ham and cheese sandwich (pun intended). This place has hit a home run. They have the best H&C croissants in the market. It's baked fresh everyday as you would expect. They even have variations of it. I would recommend the jalopeno version for the daring at heart. The second reason, the service. I could stop right there and let your imagination take the reigns. As a matter of fact, go ahead. Close you're eyes and imagine what good service looks like. That's exactly what it is at Express. They serve it out fast and fresh, always with a smile of gratitude. I'm pretty disappointed I LOVE LOVE this place, however I went tonight before the scheduled closing time and they were closed. This is the only place that has the doughnut I like and I looked up what time they were open until and it says 8 so I got there at 7 and they were closed and lights were off. I have been visiting this donut shop since I moved out here in 2003, and to me they still have THE BEST donuts out there (sorry Krispy Kreme)! People always act surprised when I talk about how good their donuts are. Most people don't realize you can make a bad donut, and that's something these people have never done. The husband and wife team who run this small business are very nice people, and you can tell they believe in making high quality donuts. Their son is now a part of the business and he's just as nice as they are. But back to the donuts. They make the best glazed donuts, hands down. My mom and sis love their plain croissants. This is the only donut shop near our home so we go here often. However, they always seem to run out of donuts by 8am, and what is left is not a very good selection. They need to make more of the ones that go the fastest. We're to a point to where we go out of our way to go to another shop that has a better selection!! My all time FAVORITE donut shop ever. When I moved from Rancho Cucamonga my heart was broken because the donut shop is now completely out of the way so I am unable to go as often. The donuts here taste magical. I loved the mother, father and son who owned it. They were so sweet and always remembered me considering I've been loyal to this place for so long.
