Express Hair & Nails. I keep on passing by this salon and really wanted a balayage, or just to color my hair. From my experience with going to someone who says they can do your balayage but for cheaper, there's usually a chance it will turn out to be more of a highlight style rather than Balayage. Knowing this, I decided to take a risk. I came in Feb 20, and shows her some picture examples of what I wanted. She said she could try her best! I decided to randomly ask her if she had some photos of her hair coloring work that she did recently and decided to change my mind that I would be fine with it not really being a balayage! I expressed to her how one of my important concern and she reassured Mesa I have attach the results and mentioned the dates in the caption. For $100, this is definitely good! She's one of the few ones, there that she can color hair. March 15, I stopped by again and am excited with how it turned out. My hair overall is in good condition still! Not melted or anything, but just dry, which is normal for when bleaching hair and coloring. After my Feb 20 session, I went ahead used leave in conditioner and stuff and my hair was fine again! Keep in mind that when the picture was taken, it's already kind of dark and also poor lighting. I went ahead and attach videos to show it in a different lighting! If you're on a tight budget and trying to get your hair colored, go ahead and try Teresa out! If you're skeptical about it, then do not hesitate to ask and see some of her work! I don't usually leave negative reviews but this had to be said. My mom and I walked in and she was seated right away which I thought was a good thing but now I know why they weren't busy. She got a full set and it's so uneven and bumpy. My mom was too shy to say anything but she left very disappointed. Will not recommend or come back to this place. read more

I came in and Teresa was the one that cut my hair. She asked what I wanted and I asked for a skin fade with a side part. I am really happy with the work that she did. It was exactly what I had asked for. Vibe was easygoing and she really took her time with the cut unlike some barbershops where I feel they rush the work to get to as many clients as possible. She even added gel and styled my hair afterwards, see pic. I've been to other barbershops and this kind of cut would run 2-3x more. Unbelievable they can keep their prices this low in this day and age without compromising quality. read more

I went in asking for a simple cut, the lady called me into a chair, and rushed my haircut for no reason, she was constantly rude, didn't understand the assignment because she messed up my hair for trying to rush it asap, and then didn't even return my thank you, customer service was awful, the haircut was terrible and i feel like i got scammed out of my money because i'll have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE!! Although the ladies were very nice and the prices seemed great, I ended up going to another salon two weeks later and getting the color corrected to what I had wanted. I must warn you on the gel manicure... They had informed me that the gel price was for color only, no manicure. Not what I'm used to but, Okay, well, let me just say that my color started peeling a few days later. Oh, and they only have about 5 colors that they mix up. My Mom's nails came out streaked with two different colors. Teresa was the one that did my hair. She was very respectful and helped my dead hair look young and silky again. I had my hair bleached and she offered the conditioning treatment to help restore my hair's shininess. I gladly obliged and the results were amazing. I would definitely come back! The prices of all their services were reasonable as well! If anything, I feel like I robbed them because the service they gave was better than my previous place (which was also way more expensive for a mediocre job). I would definitely come back even if they raise their prices a little because it was well worth it. The employees deserve more than the price makes it seem. I just came here again and requested Phuong since she did a great job last time. And oh boy, she did an AMAZING job on my hair. I didn't have anything in mind 'cept that I wanted to have short hair without a lot of layers. I made silly requests such as starting the layers too high and all, and she corrected me that my hair's thick so it'll look poofy, which is true. Thanks!!! Without that correction my hair would've been an afro by now! It just shows how much she cares. I haven't had short hair in a while, and this is like a total change for me. A good one. I really love my hair and will come back in a few months for another one. Side note: She worked at this place for 13 years. THIRTEEN YEARS!!! Holy dang. With that much experience, it just shows how great she is with hair. I don't know why she's working at a place that charges so cheap for her efforts. read more

My cuts are always fresh here. I usually call first to see if Philip is busy. 15 minutes later, my hair is fresh and I'm on my way out. If they sound rude on the phone, just know that Vietnamese people are not phone people and their need to get off the phone is to tend to their current customer. Never coming to this place again, lady didn't even talk with me, she wasn't time consuming she did everything so quick, originally every time I go to a spa they make you feel welcomed unfortunately this location was bad. I was getting a pedicure done and the lady looked as if she didn't wanna do it, she had scrubbed my foot and had me put it on the floor BARE foot she didn't even put a towel to lay my foot on. Friend's review: I decided to come here to do my hair for one reason: price. Cant beat the price of $60 for highlights and a cut in the greater LA area. And from what I heard prior to coming here, they're not just cheap, but they do it well. There must've been about four or five hair places within half a mile of this place, and this one probably looked the least fancy. Hidden away in a little plaza, there was nothing fancy about it, but the quality of service and what they do with your hair definitely says otherwise. The whole experience lasted about three hours, but about 40 minutes of it was waiting time. Minus one star for that, but it was an honest mistake.. the person who cut my hair had given the wrong time of the appointment, so I ended up showing up 35 minutes before my actual appointment time. And for those who have colored your hair before, you know it takes a while.. especially highlights, because they pick out about five strands at a time to apply the color. The lady who did my hair, Tina, was very nice. I will make sure to find her again when I go back. Completely patient with me as I chose what color and style I wanted. I came out of there pretty satisfied with the way my hair turned out, cut and color. Overall, a good experience. Typical for hair-cutting, but good for the price. read more

Philips is an Amazing guy, i've been going to him for 2 years now. He's perfect and so friendly. He trims my beard and mustaches so perfect, better than most stylists and he gives the best hair cut in OC. I will post a video if i might be able to of when he was straightening my hair, i got a curly hair he straightened it for when i was going to see my wife overseas. He also waxed my shoulders and the hair was not growing back for 4 weeks. That was amazing. I will always go to him and i highly recommend him. read more

Horrible customer service. Came for a one inch trim and left with a 4 inch cut. I asked my for my hair to be washed prior to the cut since my hair is wavy/curly and she refused. After seeing my hair I asked for a refund or the manager/owner and was denied both. One woman played the role of manager only to find she was lying. This place sucks! I went in for a hair color ( I have never colored my hair bfr) I took a picture with me to show the stylist the color I wanted and she did not even come close to the color that I wanted. When I showed her the picture of what it was supposed to look like she realized it wasnt the same color. It was passed their closing time and I askd the stylist what it would take to fix ... she didnt know what to respond and I proceeded to tell her I would come back the next day so she can fix it. She got upset and told me she chose the color I showed her and it was not her fault it didnt come out how I wanted it bcuz my natural hair color was darker than the one I chose. All I said after that was "you are the stylist, you were supposed to make it happen" (keep in mind I had never colored my hair before) So I continued to tell her I would return the next day since I was being considerate that it was passed their closing time. When I show up the next day she acted very rude and said she would charge me an extra $40 to fix it. Then I got really upset. I cant believe they wanted to charge me extra for a mistake they made. She argued with me in front of the other employees and customers. I left and looked for a different place to do my hair. It is really disappointing for me because I live around the corner from this place and now I have to go drive farther to get my hair done. Such a shame. read more
