I brought him my 2017 VW CC after a really difficult insurance situation and explained that I wasn't looking for perfection or a full body shop restoration -- I just wanted someone honest who could help make the car look and function meaningfully better without unnecessary upselling or cutting corners. He spent several hours carefully working on both the rear quarter panel damage and an additional front dent, and the improvement was significant. The rear door now closes properly again, the panel alignment is dramatically better, the rear bumper is finally sitting back in place properly again, and the car overall looks much more presentable than before. What stood out most to me though was Anthony's character. He knew I was dealing with a difficult financial and insurance situation and still went above and beyond to help me out on pricing while putting a tremendous amount of time and effort into the work. That level of honesty, compassion, and craftsmanship is rare these days. Anthony is clearly someone who takes pride in his craft and genuinely cares about people. I have a beloved car. A metal stadium chair fell from its hook in the garage rafters onto the car bonnet. OUCH! Lucky for me there didn't appear to be paint damage. I also had a small door ding next to the driver's door handle - the calling card of someone who really had to work at this since I generally park in another zip code to avoid such things. After recovering from my initial shock and horror, I set off looking for paintless dent removal. CityDent showed up on Yelp with its 5 star rating. Anthony is a most professional guy. His communication is impeccable and it's timely. He has a shop so he's not in my garage (mobile repair has its benefits and also ties one to the house for the duration of the fix). His estimate was very reasonable. And he schedules like a real business pro. Tomorrow is my date with dent-free destiny. A return to autobody perfection. I wanna love this guy. I'll be back tomorrow to let you know if his skill and the outcome are also an 11 out of 10! Keep your fingers crossed... Back again and the car is home. Anthony ran into a snag that wasn't his fault. Unfortunately, the hood has a welded support underneath rendering the dent inaccessible to his tools. Whereas most cars have a gap between the hood and support, this 4,000 pound sports car is built like a miniature tank. Wherever Anthony could get purchase, apply pressure and achieve leverage against the dent, he did, but a small dimple remains. He did everything possible to make it right and the scrapes from the stadium chair impact have been buffed away. The vexing door ding was completely eradicated. You should know that Anthony didn't want to charge me at all for the hood repair, the major portion of his estimate. In his words, he didn't fix it so he wouldn't charge for it. Of course, in his attempt to fix the dent to the greatest degree possible, he'd worked on the car for hours. His no charge was unacceptable to me. In the end he charged me only for the door ding, and I left a 100% tip. Was it disappointing? Of course, it was. But it couldn't be helped, and my woes are significantly less. I was extremely upset after finding out someone had dinged my door not once, but six times, on my new car. I spent hours researching shops offering PDR via Yelp and collecting quotes.
