This was a very disappointing experience. Between traveling to the location, waiting for my appointment, and returning home, I lost nearly two hours of my day with no service provided. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but canceling a confirmed appointment after the customer has already arrived and waited is unacceptable. What made the experience even more disappointing was the level of customer service. The front desk representative was unprofessional in handling the situation, and the mechanic was discourteous. At one point, the mechanic stated that he would not perform the job, which was both surprising and frustrating. I wanted to bring this experience to Groupon's attention so that it can be shared with the business owner. I hope they take steps to improve their scheduling practices, communication, and customer service. Customers deserve to have their time respected and to be treated professionally. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to return to this business in the future.

The wheel alignment was paid upfront so when I dropped the keys off in the overnight drop box I asked for them to provide me with the oil change pricing before preforming the service so I knew how much money I would be out of pocket. I was shocked to be told that I was charged $75 to tell me the reason for the check engine light. That cost was never disclosed upfront and no where online did it indicate that you would be charged for that. Be sure you have all pricing in writing up front before considering this company.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED-TRANSMISSION SERVICE-POOR SERVICE--AND SECURITY ISSUES…read more I had a very disappointing experience at AAMCO Transmission located on Prairie View Road, KC and Lee's Summit Road in Independence, MO. Both owned by Chad Raymond. I took my auto in for service and the results were not only unsatisfactory, as the main issue was never repaired, but additional damage was done while at their shop. It was verified that a hose was left loose and dragging the ground, skid plate bolts were lost as well as skid plate, exhaust was damaged and the transfer case was leaking and I was told it was repaired and it was not. The owner suggested I take my vehicle to the Independence location, which I did. Two days later, shockingly, I was informed my vehicle was stolen from their lot and they had a sign indicating they were not responsible for accidents or for theft so they were not covering it. My vehicle was recovered by police the next day. Surprisingly, there was no forced entry and it was not hot wired according to the police report. In addition their security camera failed to show anything. I was charged $5031 for the transmission which was never fixed but in addition to other repairs and items stolen from my vehicle, towing and impound fees, I was out $6,258.54. I also drove a total of 866 miles for all the service visits. I reached out to the owner asking that my $5031 be refunded at a minimum however communication was lacking and there was no customer support in resolving any issues. The only thing the owner, Chad Raymond said to me, after my request he call me, was "I didn't steal your car!" and "It's a ------- world full of ------- people." I also reached out to corporate with no follow up or support. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income this was a devastation with absolutely no resolution. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO OTHERS BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I WOULD HOPE THEY WOULD TAKE STEPS TO IMPROVE BOTH THEIR SERVICE QUALITY AND SECURITY MEASURES TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO ANYONE ELSE.

I told them how much higher they were than their compeitor and haggled a bit on the price. He said he'd talk to his boss and call me back. No call back, so I called and said I'll pay their price. I decided it was worth the extra money to get it done same day. I show up 5 min early and I'm the only person in the lobby. No one says a word to me or even looks at me. After a couple min, I say something to the guy in the lobby so he knows I'm the guy there for the appt (he already knew). I sit there for another 15 min while he makes phone calls and carries on with business like there isn't someone there for an appt. Needless to say, after 20 min of sitting there, I left as it was obvious they were doing me this way on purpose. If you didn't want my business say so. Having me waste an hour of my afternoon was pretty uncool. Felt like I was in JR High all over again. My wife went to pick the car up and they refused to give it to her because it "wasn't put back together" and apparently the guy who took them out wasn't there. Suddenly, with us agreeing to the "ransom" they had someone who could install spark plugs and our car was ready to be picked up the same day.
