I've gone in many times to this location. Mostly for tire and oil changes. But I've gone in once this past May to get my alternator inspected (car kept shutting down while driving after five minutes). I was told that my battery was the problem and I would've had to buy a new battery from them. And I asked if they could check for an oil leak and they found no oil leaking after they had put a very expensive oil in my car. I went to another car shop and they looked at my car and inspected it thoroughly and found oil leaking ALL OVER my engine AND my alternator. But I was going to be charged for a new battery, while having to keep getting things replaced. And recently this October, I went to get my AC and heating replaced because the blower stopped working. They were going to charge me 2,134 dollars to get EVERYTHING replaced. I went to a different shop, got the blower replaced, and it will last my car at least two years now without any problems. Only go hear if you want to replace tires , oil, or renewing your state inspection. Other than that, go to a different shop. read more

Do not use this place!! My 17 year old had his oil changed here at the end of May on his way home his check engine light came on. I called Mike and my son brought his car back in they put the filter in wrong and had to fix it. My son went back on yesterday to get his oil changed and they told him the couldn't get the bolt off and he would have to make an appointment. They were the last to touch his car but still refused to take the blame for their actions!! If this is how they do business don't waste your time! read more

Normally I change the oil in my family's vehicles but on this day, I was looking for a place that could change the oil in my 15yr old som's car quickly due to me having to run a lot of errands. literally one of the worst places to go too !!! the one on ambassador in lafayette louisiana needs to shut down asap .. lets start with how my tires have a warranty on all 4 of my tires and these people made me pay for my tires even though i had a warranty on my tires !!! second i went there for a oil change they did the oil change and forgot to put the radiator cap back on and i drove back home , on my way home i see smoke coming out my car had to stop at o'rallys pop my hood just to see my radiator cap missing and coolant spilled all over my car now im dealing with a messed up oil leak i drop my car off tuesday i called back thursday just to hear the person who was gonna gix my car was off when he told me call back in 2 days !!!! on top that these people only put oil in my car and ran a diagnostic test and charge me 206 dollars and told me the fixes i need on the car would cost me 4 thousand dollars !!! like how could yall tell all that when all yall did was a diagnostic test on the car ????? read more

Took my car there for service and was told it would be done quickly. Turns out "quickly" was a couple of hours. I normally go to a place that checks everything when you get service and sadly they didn't check half the things the other place checks. I understand that the price is more expensive because you are supposed to be in and out in a reasonable amount of time but to have to pay the high price and the extra long wait is just not worth it to me. read more

It was not a great value. I did not see an option for the Johnston Street Location. I went to Express Oil Change, 2964 Johnston Street, Lafayette, La 70501 for an oil change on 6/13/2020. A technician, Scott, told me that I had an oil leak from my oil pan gasket. He said he could use dye to know for sure but that he was nearly positive that was it. I told him that I trusted his professional opinion (My mistake for trusting someone I thought was a professional). He grinned and agreed to write up the estimate. The estimate was for $392.41. He told me that by my next oil change it would need to get done and to call at least a day in advance so they could get the part and schedule an appointment. I told him I needed to see when I could bring it in again and call back. I called back the following Tuesday, 6/16/2020 to schedule an appointment. I spoke to the same technician, Scott and he scheduled my appointment for today at 9 a.m. and agreed the part would be there waiting for me. Upon arriving this morning, I was treated as an inconvenience and told that there were a bunch of other vehicles and when they figured out what they were doing they would get to me. I reminded them that I had an appointment and was told this would be a 2.5 hour job. I called back at 1pm as I had not heard from them and was told by Tyler one of the managers that they had just gotten to my car and there was some sort of miscommunication because there was no oil leak but a leak in a seal near my transmission. They then quoted me at almost $700.00 for the work. I was then put on the phone with James another manager who apologized but basically told me there was nothing they could do for me but apologize and do the work for $700. I was also told that the original technician when questioned about the original estimate lied about what I had stated claiming that I got an oil change at another location and that THEY had given me the estimate. This is unacceptable. The way I was treated from the moment I showed up this morning, to the lack of communication throughout this establishment, to the bold faced lie by the technician. I have gotten my vehicle serviced at your establishments many times before this one but I will be taking my business elsewhere now and in the future. read more
