I had my first visit to Extend Eyelash a few years ago around May 2016. I had purchased a living social deal. I recently saw them on Groupon and purchased another deal before my vacation. (The companies rules do not state that you can only use one voucher ). I made an appointment and arrived a few minutes early. No one was at the front dest when I arrived a few minutes later I was welcomed by a lash tech at her booth who told me to come on over. I hung up my coat and was ready to pick and explain what id wanted, when she asked me to lay down that shed already have my account pulled up. I explained to her that Id gotten my lashes with them 3 years ago and not only was that my first time getting lashes, but that I had a voucher for something specific. She refused and said that this would be best. When I was finished I went to the front desk to pay the lady at the desk began to tell me my total when I pulled up my voucher, she rolled her eyes and pointed to a sign that said vouchers must be shown before you begin. She clearly was extremely upset which I don't understand because she was not at the desk. My lashes came out great a lot of them did fall off the night after but some are still fine. I definitely won't be returning here due to the attitude and the lack of customer service at this location. read more

I got my lashes done here with a Groupon (around 80 lashes per eye) about a month ago (12/31). There's a $3-$4 charge if you use a Groupon or Living Social voucher, so keep that in mind. Also, make sure you're not late because they do get booked up and only have an hour time slot for each customer! This was my first time getting lash extensions. I was pretty nervous because I spent a good 2 hours researching a bunch of stores I found on Groupon and the reviews weren't that reassuring. I kind of just settled and decided this one would do. They have a cancellation fee of $30 (I think) if you don't cancel within 24 hours. There's a small sitting area when you walk into the place and complimentary water. They have you fill out this form/waiver before a lash technician sits down with you. I had Alice and although she wasn't as informative as I wanted her to be, she got the job done. She was super gentle with my eyes and actually finished within 40 minutes. At first, I thought it was because she had rushed through the whole thing, but it turns out she must've really knew what she was doing because my lashes looked so good when she was done! I ended up getting the JC curl, 11-12mm with some 13 mm's towards the end of my eyes. I've read the horror stories on here saying how lashes have fallen out on the first day and how they're completely gone within a week so I took extra precaution. You're not supposed to get your eyes wet for a solid 24 hours so, I kid you not, I wore goggles that night I showered. My eyelashes survived 2 weeks of me sweating profusely in Thailand, wearing eyeshadow every single day and swimming in salty ocean water. I'm pretty impressed. I would say maintaining your eyelashes is 90% on you. My tips to you are to: 1) Keep your eyes completely dry the first 24 hours. 2) Do NOT use any oil cleansers. I used a water based cleanser, cleaned my eyelids with it and my eyelashes were fine. 3) Make up wipes are fine. Just don't rub too hard on your lashes. 4) Try to sleep on your back! That way your eyelashes won't rub against your pillow as you sleep. 5) Don't be afraid to clean your lashes. I wash mine with water everyday and I brush them out with a spoolie after they get wet. It's been almost a month later and I'd say 1/2 of my lash extensions are left, which isn't too shabby. Hopefully this isn't a one time thing where I just got lucky with the technician, but I'm so glad I found this place! I'll be back. read more

Picking the right place is hard living in NYC when there are hundreds of salons. I picked Extend because my friend has been coming here for the past year. Her lashes last over 3 weeks but she still goes in every 3 weeks(reasonable price) and told me to try. (THEY HAVE REFERRAL DISCOUNTS) My first visit was spectacular, lashes were bomb and customer service was amazing, they really cared about how I felt about the service, which I don't get from many places. Used a Groupon for eyelash extensions in May 2018. I had naturally long eyelashes but wanted a natural look with more volume and length for my first time getting extensions. Pros: -Consultation with the esthetician about what you're looking for -Quick application (55 mins) -Great foot massage while I was having my eyelashes done -Eyelashes looked absolutely amazing afterward -Pricing is really good for NYC, even without a deal Cons: -Once the lashes started falling out (after a week), they broke off my natural lashes at the root, leaving me with short and stubby natural lashes. After a few weeks, I noticed bald patches developing (!) and went to get my lash extensions completely removed. -I had my lashes removed at another salon because I'm out of state and that esthetician told me the lash extensions were much too heavy for my lashes, which is why they had broken off many of my natural lashes. -I am now starting Latisse to hopefully grow back my natural lashes over the next few months, and will be wary of lash extensions going forward. read more

Great service and very fast compare to other places! It took my technician Asuka only 45 min to make my eyes look fabulous, plus you can get a pretty good foot massage while getting your lashes done, free of charge just make sure to tip, no one likes to work for free ;) The only thing that they can improve is getting longer lashes, they max length is 14, when I usually get 15/16, that's the only reason I won't give 5 stars, otherwise they did a good job and I definitely be back! read more

I started coming to Extend last month and since then I have come back twice for refills (the two week and three week, once each). I had never gotten eyelash extensions before so I admit I was a bit worried since I have sensitive eyes and also that I wouldn't have the patience to wait there. However, I am pretty sure I am hooked now. The results are amazing and I can't imagine going back to my normal, short lashes. My fiance says he loves them, and that's incentive enough for me to keep coming back. It's worth the time and the money in my opinion. It takes about an hour each session. I've been going to Extend Eyelash religiously since January of this year after having tried out three other salons in the city. The difference between this salon and the others for me starts in the customer service. Every employee has been extremely attentive and made sure that I was comfortable, knew what I wanted in terms of lash style, and in general just have warm personalities. The music is always amazing and makes laying on the table for 45 min-1 hour fly by (if I don't fall asleep under the blanket.) My lashes always last 3 weeks if not an entire month and I get complimented constantly on them and have told all my friends and coworkers to go. I was going to be in a wedding and decided to go here for lashes. I requested a dramatic look but I left with lashes that were just ok. (My friends didn't even notice I got lashes done) I gave the girl a $20 tip for her and the person that did the foot massage, proceeded to go to the front desk to pay for services. As I was walking down the stairs, one of the girls ran out and started yelling that I didn't tip the lady the gave a foot massage. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. I cane here for lashes based of my grouping and thus far have been satisfied. It has been a week and literally only three lashes have fallen off. That's pretty good compare to other places. Their service is impeccable. They are curteous and attentive. They took their time doing my lashes and even offered a complimentary foot massage. The only thing I've noticed is that if I tear the adhesive glue still stings my eyes. I was watching a sad movie and then my eyes stung. That was odd. I bought a Groupon three weeks ago. I loved loved my silk eyelashes. I got so many compliments. They lasted s long time. I felt so comfortable in that cozy space that I fell asleep during the process. And the foot massage was excellent. What a plus! No charge for the foot massage. Just a tip. Today I came for a refill ...full price. I wasn't crazy about the technician today While she was doing my eyelashes she yelled out loud. I was half asleep and my eyes weee taped shut. I was startled and asked what's wrong. She never answered. I was ready to jump off the table. Later the receptionist told me she probably dropped something. What a way to give someone a scare. This time around I wasn't too pleased with my lashes. It didn't have that cat eye look. I guess I was staring at my reflection too long in the mirror. The tech muttered something in her language in abrushed tone which I thought was rude. The minute I got off the bed she ushered someone quickly onto the bed. She even dumped my belonging onto the next bed. I felt rushed. I won't go to her again. What I do love about this place is the receptionist. She's very sweet , kind, and informative. She gave me an excellent suggestion of how to get more of a cat eye look in the future. Getting your eyelashes done is very expensive in general so I want a good experience. I've been getting my eyelashes done for about 5 years now and here at Extend Eyelash Extension for about 4 months (moved) adorable spot very welcoming and well trained staff. The place is clean and comfortable they even offer a complimentary food massage during your appointment. The lashes last long just try not to use oil based products on your face. This was the most I've ever spent on last extensions and the results were disappointing to say the least. The technician wasn't experienced as I was there for 2 hours and his first attempt was laughable - very sparse. I had to keep asking him to add more lashes. Then he added volume lashes to my right eye but not to my left eye so the results didn't look uniform across both eyes. I asked the manager three times if they could add some volume lashes to my left eye to even out the look and she was adamant saying that I didn't have anymore lashes to glue lashes onto. I came home and noticed tons of lashes (not even baby ones) that they could have added volume lashes to. I'm not coming back to this establishment. I am sad to write this review. My feedback from the last time remains exactly the same- the eyelashes look stunning, the complimentary foot massage is the best I have ever had in my life, but I will not be returning here. (Shoutout to my girl reina the foot masseuse ily) I had not gone back to Extend in about 8 months because the last time I went they upcharged me and what they told me over the phone was different from what they told me when I got to the front desk to pay. So when I got an email last week announcing their 30% off promo code, I called to book an appointment. When I just got to the front desk they would only give me 20% off even though from our emails back and forth they knew I was specifically inquiring about the 30% off deal. They said the deal ended at 2pm which is when I got there. They did not bother to tell me in advance that it wouldn't be 30% off even though they knew that's why I emailed in the first place. This place has ripped me off basically 3 times in a row and gone back on their word -- I figured this time around I'd give it another try because what are the odds they could try that with a coupon, but sadly I was wrong. This is also only a matter of $12 so if they cared about their customers and retaining them they simply wouldn't treat them like this. If you're the kind of person who likes being taken advantage of and throwing money out the window, this place is for you. Otherwise beware. read more

I've been in search for a different eyelash extension place since the place I used to go to had significantly increased their price. I really wanted to like this place. The service itself was great - loved the complimentary massage, location wasn't too inconvenient and the ambience was calming. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was promptly helped with my service. However I got my lashes and within the first day I noticed that eyelashes were falling out. It's been one week, and almost all of my lashes are completely gone! I have done eyelash extensions at more than 5 different places, but never have my lashes fallen off within the first week of getting them. I would expect my lashes to last for a minimum of 3 weeks if I'm going to pay for it! Would not recommend -go to other locations, this is just not worth your money. read more

I've been getting eyelash extensions consistently for the past decade, and have tried different salons in Toronto, San Francisco and now New York. I know what good looks like in terms of both quality and customer service. I came to this place on the recommendation of a friend, who swears by one Tech. In fairness to Minki, he does do a good job. The service at this salon is atrocious though. My first appointment went without a hitch. A bit slow and they did charge to remove the 5 or so lashes left from the previous place, but that's fine. The second appointment I specifically booked with Minki, but when I showed up they sent me to a completely different tech (Daniel?) who did an AWFUL job. They offered a free fix, which I came in for 2 days later- but that is still time taken out of my calendar plus cab fare there and back, and of course I'm still tipping both times - so this ends up being an expensive remedy. I explained during this debacle that my time is extremely limited and was assured nothing like this would happen again. Fast forward to today - I arrived promptly for my 11am appointment. The manager at the front desk informed me that the previous client was late so it would be a few minutes...my appointment (a 3 week fill which is supposed to last 40 minutes) ended up starting 30 minutes late!!! This is unacceptable. I told her again that my time is tight, and I had a meeting at 12:30. She apologized but blamed it on the previous customer. If a customer is that late, you should shorten their time, not encroach or inconvenient the next customer who comes on time. I told her that I would have to rework my entire day because of this and asked for a discount, and she said she wouldn't do more than a 10 dollar discount (original total was 110). Again, unacceptable. After such appalling service you should be offering at least a decent discount to make up for the time lost...9% doesn't quite cut it. My appointment ended up being rushed, and the lashes aren't as full or consistent. I'm disgusted. She tried to say she'd give me another 10 dollars off for my next appointment - there will not be another one. For their prices, it is not too much to expect better customer service and respect, as well as consistent quality. I would avoid this place at all cost -for what they charge, there are plenty of other places in the city you could try (I certainly will be). read more

I came here for the first time in 2015 before my wedding through a Gilt deal and have been coming ever since. I had never gotten eyelashes done prior to that and really only get them done now when I have an event or a long vacation coming up. My lashes from here usually last four weeks before they look visibly patchy. I went once to another place in Brooklyn and never went back there because my lashes fell out so quickly. The entrance to this spot is a little weird (it looks like you're going into a fortune teller) but inside it's totally normal. They give a foot massage if you want while you're getting the lashes done. Usually the massage is good but a few times it was meh. I almost always fall asleep while they are doing the lashes and then wake myself up by snoring a little. Embarassing. read more

Trust the other reviews on this one. Very nice people at extend, but your lashes won't make it through the first week. I was so embarrassed by everyone pointing out how many lashes I had randomly on my face or on my glasses. I'm talking three and four at a time. I had them applied with the strongest glue, I know proper lash care, and I got 10-12, nothing long or heavy. To their credit that have tried to bring me in to fix it but at this point, it's week 2 and I don't have a single lash left. Great foot massages! read more

I was bamboozled! I've only gotten my eyelashes done at Extend Eyelash one time prior to my second visit. The lady that checked me in didn't ask me what I wanted to get; she assumed I wanted what I had gotten previously. I asked to see options however she talked me out of seeing them. Now it's time to pay and she hits me with the price of $130!!! I didn't recall paying that price before so she looked me up and said that I paid $90; I was given a 30% discount I guess. So now it makes me think she didn't want me to see the options because she knew I wouldn't pick a set of lashes for $130!! So if you decide to go here, demand to see the prices before getting any services done. Trust me, you don't want to feel swindled like me. read more

I've come here three times now and I can confidently form an opinion. First time, I had a GiltCity for 100 silk lashes. I asked or 11,12 & 13 length but the woman didn't listen to me and the tech applies 12,13 & 14. As a result, my lashes were extremely long, thin and spidery looking (their lashes are far thinner than other places, so 100 lashes here look much more sparse than 100 lashes elsewhere). It didn't look good, so I decided to come back in a few days for an extra 30 lashes which was $25. Once the extra 30 were applied, my lashes looked much fuller and better but still very long and obviously fake. However, I liked the place enough and it was very close to my apartment, so I returned for a whole new set - this time remembering to purchase a 130 lashes Lifebooker. Here's where the cons begin. (By the way, they post vouchers on several deal sites but do not say anything about being or only new clients. That's why I came back with another voucher). (1) I didn't get what I paid for - and they didn't tell me. I paid for 130 lashes and only had 100 applied, and the tech never informed me until I realized it myself and asked. That is straight out dishonest. Even when they shorted me, they wouldn't refund me for the lashes they didn't apply. I get that I didn't have enough lashes but it was their job to tell me earlier or refund me. (2) They lied to me about the price of the voucher. At long last, the older woman at the receptionist desk reluctantly agreed to give me a $6 credit. She said that was the difference between the Lifebooker voucher for 100 and 130 lashes. FALSE. I looked online when I got home and the difference is $10. (3) They hit you up HARD for tips - insisting you read their signs and basically demanding it. Most customers will tip well, esp. if we use a voucher but a tip is a tip for that reason alone - it's gratuity not mandatory. (4) Also they apparently cash in the vouchers the day of your appointment, and insist on taking credit cards to make appointments. I can understand the CC practice to protect against last minute cancellations but not redeeming the voucher before the service is done. That's a way easily do less lashes because you've already paid and they've already redeemed. Which is what happened to me. Oh and the foot massage is not free and the lady comes at the very end of your service as you are done. Again gratuity is demanded, so just call it what it is - a $5 foot massage. The lashes themselves are fine and last up to 3 weeks, but it's not worth being ripped off. Plenty of other places to get eyelashes done from. Won't be back. read more

I had a terrible experience with Extend. The actual process was fine, The place is clean and I really enjoyed the foot massage (although they hound you for tips after- so it's actually more like a semi-forced paid foot massage). However, my extensions were all gone and I am not even at my two week mark. Normally they should last for three to four weeks. Also, I feel it has severely weakened my natural lashes and now it looks very sparse. Ive done lashes many times before and I know how to take care of them. Luckily I purchased a groupon, so it was discounted. They are really strict about tips though so you do end up paying more than you expect. Don't let the glowing reviews fool you like they did for me- lots of 5 star reviews have been updated after they received a complimentary service from the salon- so initially their experience was not that great either. As I mentioned before I've had lashes on multiple times and am very aware of how to properly care for them. It's interesting that you felt my lashes looked fine for the two week mark. I'm sure a at your salon the amount of lashes that fell within two weeks seemed fine. However for somebody like myself that has gone to other places and can compare that is not "normal' and they should not look like that at the two week mark. You also mentioned the "spring season" as an excuse. It is spring now and I'm on my 3rd week of an amazing set from LASH FOREVER. Still looking fabulous and very satisfied. Ladies, again if you're in between selecting a lash place choose lash forever. Their application will last waaaaaay longer. I've been back about 3-4 more times for refills, and it's been fantastic. It's honestly strange to see an eyelash extension place so well run. A lot of places have good technicians, but due to either language barriers or lack of organization, they just don't feel as well run. You'll rarely have an issue getting an appointment of your choosing at Extend. The girls at the front desk are incredibly nice. The technicians are all very sweet women. I will say that my most recent refill wasn't up to the standard that I expect. I had a lot of eyelashes fall out very, very quickly. My eyelashes were in contact with water the first 24 hours, so I'm not really sure what happened there. If the problem persists, I'll be changing salons, but for the time being, I believe it's a one-off bad experience. read more
