I'm going on vacation as of this weekend and wanted to spruce up my look for it. I've never done extensions but have done perms previously and thought this would be a good chance to try it out. I booked a deal on LifeBooker and called to make a same day appointment and was able to get one in an hour. The shop itself is in a sketchy looking building right in the Herald Square area, literally steps from Penn Station. I walk up the stairs and was immediately greeted by the super friendly receptionist. She ushered me into the sitting area where I filled out some forms and Asuka came to greet me. She would be my technician. We spoke about what I wanted and she showed me the lash menu and we decided on the JC curl, 11/12 length, .15 width. Asuka showed me to the bed where she pulled back the blanket and I laid down. She proceeded to put some eye patches below my lower lashes and went to work. About halfway through, someone came over and gave me a foot massage. The procedure took exactly an hour, as she had promised. The lashes looked great and I was very happy with the results. I checked out with the receptionist where she gave me a small bottle of water and a chocolate, as well as cafe instructions. The service here is superb and pending the longevity of these lashes, I may visit again in the future (I will try to update in 2-3 weeks on results.) read more

This place is A+!! I walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome. The manager came and explained every step to me and also made sure I was comfortable since it's my first time. She helped me decide what would look good and natural on me. A warm hand towel was given to clean my hands and the eyelash technician came over and greeted me. For us, we do take care of our technicians, however, we feel that gratuity is based on service, and if you were in any way unhappy with the services that our technicians were giving, we would of course, not have said anything. If you were unhappy with the services given, we would have immediately have offered to remove the lashes, and not have taken the payment for the appointment either. If you were happy with the services given, given that we had already asked you 3 times prior as well, we felt that we had to stand by the hard work of our technicians. As much as it was a sensitive topic for you, it was one for us as well, and we try our best not to make these uncomfortable situations, however, as management, it is also our responsibility to be responsible for our technicians. As for our masseuse, before every massage, when we seat our clients, we remind the clients that we just ask for gratuity for our masseuse. Again, being as how it was not the first time that nothing was left for our masseuse, we again felt that we had to speak up for her. Our masseuse, like our technicians, work really hard to help our clients relax during the extensions, and has to see a minimum of 20 clients per day, and again, as management, we feel that it is our responsibility to speak on her behalf. I came to Extend Lash on a Sunday morning. I was a little apprehensive at first because the establishment is pretty new. I had gotten lash extensions at bling lash before and decided to try somewhere new because they no longer let you select who to do your lashes. I felt like how long your lashes last often depends on how meticulous your person was. This place definitely feels more luxurious and calming than bling lash. Upon first arrival, they have you read and sign a consent form that explains the procedure and a sheet on how to take care of your lashes. Then you get a consultation in the lash you get. I thought the consultation was also more attentive than the ones I've had at Bling Lash. My appointment was with Minki and he was excellent. I felt that he was very meticulous and gentle. This place is great!! This is the second time I've ever put lashes on and was a little concerned since the last time I lost many of my own lashes. My concerns were mitigated as soon as I spoke to the consultant since she suggested what was best for my eyes. We didnt do the tick curly eyelashes (which are the one i did before) because they were too heavy and made my own lashes fall off. she recommended the medium light lashes and they look so natural! They have a great customer service! I got a free (no strings attached) touch up. I wasn't aware that my cream eyeliner has oil in it, so on the first day i lost about 30 lashes. I called and they took me without an appointment and they touched up my lashes for free. she wouldnt even accept a tip. she reassured me that if I have any other issues, I could come back for a touch up I really love this place! will def go back read more

I got my first eyelash extensions ever today from Allison at Extend Eyelash Extensions and it was such a good experience! First of all, everyone was really friendly and the place felt really clean and calming. Then the consultation was very informative, with Allison answering all my questions honestly and in an easy to understand way (although it probably helped that I speak korean so disclaimer for that haha). The attaching of the extensions part was super relaxing so I dozed off, and before I knew it, it was over. Since it was my first time I got the 19 mm Silk lashes with the JC curl and they feel and look so natural! It really hurts me to be writing this review. I really wanted to love this place. A classmate does her eyelashes here and I thought they were so pretty. She told me she got them done at extend eyelashes and I was reluctant at first because of the price. When I found the living social deal, I saw no reason to not check out the place. I thought perhaps I found a new place to get it done. First, I want to say that this was my not first time getting my lashes. I take care of them and I do not wear any eye makeup while I have them. I usually get them done by a friend but she was busy, I needed lashes, and I've always wanted to try Extend Eyelashes. So why not, right? Secondly, I want to say, during my experience there, I loved it. I was wowed. The staff was friendly, and OH MY GOODNESS, I loved my foot massage. I felt so tranquil, relaxed, and comfortable. And here is the but. But the lashes didn't last. By the second day, I started seeing 2 hairs fall out from each eye. I was concerned but I thought it was probably just the 4. But then it shed more and more. Today marks exactly 2 weeks, and now I'm just really upset. I had to double check that I wasn't mistaken and it wasn't really 3 weeks. After the first week, I thought "maybe I'll get some refills". But now, on my left eye there's only about 4 or so extensions left. And on the right a bit more than that. I've had previous extensions that look like this after a month of wear. A month! But this only lasted two weeks. If you're going there for a foot massage and for friendly staff, go for it. I loved my experience there. When I left the place, I loved how my lashes looked also. But it didn't last long. I'm wondering if the technician used the wrong glue. I asked for strong. I got my lashes yesterday and I must say very pleased! The location is very convenient for me, right by Penn Station. The salon itself is very nice. I was greeted with a smile. After filling out the forms I was recommended to get the eye patch, which is basically what they put under your eyes while the procedure, instead of just putting tape which can hurt your skin, as it's very delicate around that eye area. I am glad I got the patch and for $10 it was worth it. And it smelled like peaches :-) I had Gianna do it for me. The bed you lay on is heated, which is awesome and you get a complimentary foot massage at the beginning. My appointment was for 6:30pm though I got there a little early and they took me right in. I was done a little before 8pm. My lashes came out fantastic. I had all my friends complement on it how natural it looks. So yes, I highly recommend this place! read more

We actually had a conversation about my lashes and she helped guide my choice based off of my eye shape. I'm much happier with the results and very impressed that Extend was willing to remedy this. --- Came here through a friend's referral. Never gotten extensions before. I showed pictures of my friends lashes, because it was exactly what I wanted and she told me they keep her style on file, so I should be able to ask for that. The technician just nodded and said okay and showed me the menu. She never asked for my friends name to look up the style, I guess figured I wanted a common style and pushed me toward a selection. Disclosed I was a newbie and was still not given real descriptions of the differences in style/curl/thickness. I honestly could not even tell you right now what style/curl/ANYTHING I have. Process was fine. I didn't get a foot rub as others have stated.... so idk exactly why I missed out there. What upset me most is afterwards and during/post paying nobody told me ANYTHING about aftercare. I had to ask the receptionist to please let me know since I 1) had never been here before and 2) said multiple times I've never had extensions. Let's start off by saying my natural lashes are stick straight. They have no curl whatsoever. Mascara doesn't even help. With that said, I've always wanted to get my lashes done. What better occasion than my birthday :-). I bought a Living Social deal for the silk premium lashes which came with a foot rub. The place is really clean, nice, dim, and super quiet. The staff helped me choose what kind of lashes I should get as far as the curl, length, style, and glue. I got long lashes and I honestly forgot which curl I got. The process took 1 hr to 1 hr and a half. Although some women were sleeping, I couldn't since it was my first time. It was a painless procedure. However, my eyes did itch a little at times, and the lash technician would use a mini fan to blow air to my eyes. I was very happy with the look. The lashes looked beautiful! The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I had severe eye irritation during the time I had my lashes. The establishment uses 3 levels of glue: sensitive, medium, and strong. The tech said I should use strong, so I did. If I go back, I would definitely use sensitive glue. Due to the irritation, which led to constant rubbing of the eyes, my lashes fell off extremely quickly. I had a full set of lashes for about a week. After that I looked crazy. Please note that the tipping is a little heavy at this place. Although the foot rub that came with the living social deal was "free", they basically only offered it if you agreed to tip the masseuse. Nothing wrong with that... Just sayin'. Plus, at the end of the lash procedure, they give you your bill with a little envelope with tip suggestions on it. These suggestions were all above $20, and the fact they do this makes you feel as though you'd be frowned upon if you give less. read more

I have had my lashes for about a week and usually I would have lost quite a few lashes, and not the proper way. With these Extend lashes I have had a swimming lesson, walked in the rain, and have not been the most gentle in general and still have not lost any lashes. I only lost 3 but they did not count because it was actually my natural lashes shedding which is supposed to be the proper way for the lashes to fall out. The place itself is cute and the people welcoming. The woman who did my lashes is excellent. I got the C Curl better silk lengths 11 and 12. She prepped my lids in a way that had been missing at other places. Then used an eye mask. Placed each lash with precision. It took about 80 minutes to place 170 lashes in each eye. I'm used to waking morning after my appointment with some lashes on my check. This morning there were none!! My lashes look fabulous. Got a foot mask for free too. I recently tried their services and was extremely impressed. They are located in a walk up office on seventh avenue very close to Madison Square Garden. Once you arrive you will need to ring a bell for entrance and walk up one flight of stairs. I was immediately greeted before I could reach the top of the steps.Once I entered their offices I honestly could not believe how beautiful the place was. I have been to several eyelash extension company offices and they are all very plain. From the outside I would have never guessed how nice the décor would be inside. Once I walked through the doors I was asked to fill out a brief form and then I was given a brief consultation about the style and length of the lashes I wanted. I was also given the option of using plain tape to hold down my lower lashes or under eye pads. I had plain tape used on me at other lash company's in the past so I chose the eye pads because I felt that they would be more comfortable. Once I clarified my choices I was escorted over to the technician who would be installing the lash extensions and promptly introduced (but I have forgotten her name-sorry). Once the lash extension process was started I was also given what felt like a paraffin foot treatment (I could be wrong - my eyes were closed) which was followed by a great foot massage. The bed was so comfortable I fell asleep during the process LOL. The beds are heated so snoozing is easy. I love the decor and cleanliness of the place. Very friendly staff and great customer service. If you are waiting for a technician, they provide hot towels, coffee/tea/water, candy and magazines to pass the time. Someone comes over with some options on what lashes to get including curl, length, and style (I chose the C curl with cat-eye look that goes from short to long) When ready, I was brought to a lightly heated bed (amazing in the colder weather) where they have storage bins to hold all your stuff under the bed. Got my lashes done last Friday. I was 30 min late to the appointment but they didn't give me any hassle. It's a new facility so everything was brand new and nice. The waiting area has complimentary chocolates and water. The procedure took about an hour and they have heat blankets so I fell asleep. Pretty relaxing it was. Updated review: First time I went there, the technician managed to clump several lashes together and it irritated my eyelid. Extend Eyelash reached out and gave me amazing lashes the second time around. They use mink lashes so the lashes come out really natural and soft. It looks extremely natural and it was what I was aiming for. The lashes fell out naturally after a 3 weeks and endured a lot of sweat, sleeping on face, and eye rubbing. Just make sure you ask for a senior technician when you make an appointment. :) read more
