The price was fair and Mitch was very helpful during the whole process. The movers that I had, Esau, Thomas, and Shawn were all incredibly friendly and efficient. In fact, they were the same guys my mother had for her move only 7 months prior! These guys got to my original location early and were careful, as well as intelligent, instead of being the stereotypical yes men that I have seen movers be in the past. For 6 hours of work (the travel time to Brooklyn was the biggest part of the move), everything I packed survived the move. They even put my mother's bed back together prior to them leaving for Brooklyn. That was very nice of them. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for future moves, even if it means coming to Brooklyn to do so.

I called them and two other companies. I got all three estimates and made a decision. I decided to go with all jersey so I called back. I was then told a mistake was made and my moving day was on a peak week making it over $100 more. Now where I come from when a business quotes a price there is no take backs. I didn't add or ask for anything more so that initial price should be honored since the mistake was made on their end. No dice. Was basically told to bad we will just book someone else that day we are and busy and shit. So pissy I went to my second choice. They had booked my day by then. No all jersey had me over a barrel. I ate the extra money. Moving day arrived and the guys showed up on time. They straight killed it. Well oiled machine. Wes was the lead guy and he managed the pack and move like a pro. Moved from NJ to Myrtle the staff was nice enough . My furniture was placed in storage for a few…read moremonths . The movers were not bad guys and did their best while moving my furniture from NJ home to storage. The furniture was delivered to Myrtle on time however three to four issues arose. My Ethan Allen entertainment center was broke and I was informed by the representative at sea cure to repair and send claim in that was done and they paid me the 120.00 it cost . Next was my Jennifer convertible love seat that was in pristine condition. This piece was ripped at legs and had several burns on side . I called the representative he told me I didn't have full replacement insurance and the claim would be paid at a pro rated amount . The estimate to recover was 350.00 without material . I then called the same representative and he told me to call him after claim was settled and he would try make up the difference which in my opinion would be offset of about 500.00 total for material and recovering of sofa. I get a check from the claims department paying me 180.00 for the love seat. I then call the representative to negotiate in good faith the difference as per his instructions. He sends me an email explaining how I didn't take full replacement and with his discounts I'm actually up money . In my opinion This representative should have been honest and upfront. Why tell a customer that he would make up difference if you never had the intention of negotiating. I gave my furniture to his men in good shape and I can't use it. Last the top of an antique finial broke and the driver of truck glued it back . My home and possessions are immaculate. Last my piano screws were missing and they rigged it with round top screws so now my piano doesn't close flush . Not a bad group but some of my nice furniture was broken and or not usable with no option of being made whole . Last email I got was an accusation saying that by posting this review I'm trying to extort money . The truth is that the representative acted in poor faith as a business owner . Paid a lot of money for less then white glove service . I understand the exposure in a long move and most of my possessions were fine . But not happy with the love seat sleeper outcome .

After moving from one apartment to another at a distance of about 1 1/2 miles they wouldn't take things off the truck until I gave the movers a huge tip for the movers. There were three guys and they wanted $500.00. My wife was pregnant at the time and they had no problems hassling and bullying us about the tip. I almost called the police but decided to pay. 4. Unusually large amount of things were broken. If it was porcelain or ceramics (including family heirlooms) it was damaged. If it was wood it was dented. When we mentioned this to them they didn't give us the time of day. We couldn't of had a worse experience. Correction for some reason Yelp says my location is San Francisco Calif. I'm actually in Kew Gardens Queens (New York).

We fed them, gave them a nice tip and they even rode our electric bikes up and down the street (didn't ask if they could do that) and I said nothing. A week later we are setting up both tvs and none of them worked even though they worked perfectly fine the day before the move. It has taken 8 months trying to contact then and filling out the damage items report only to hear the owner Derek say that his workers denied that they ever dropped the tvs so they were not refunding the damaged tvs. We had to buy new ones and they assumed no responsibility. This company is great if you want ghetto bottom of the barrel movers but I would avoid them like the plague!! They are the worst!!!

This immediately felt odd and unnecessary. He came over late in the evening, which made the situation even more uncomfortable, and he gave off extremely creepy vibes. I do not recommend this company if you are a woman and would be alone with this man in your home. While there, he pushed me toward choosing the cheapest option for him, the one dollar per pound replacement coverage, which barely covers anything if items are damaged. I initially signed a different option, and he told me to cross it out and re sign where he told me to. This was a huge red flag. The next day, we had to sign the same contract again with the actual movers. I still do not understand why Paul needed to come over the night before, especially considering the move had been booked well in advance. It felt unnecessary and unsettling. After evaluating our apartment, Paul selected the truck size himself. He chose one that was too small and then blamed the issue on our street being too narrow, despite previously saying a truck would fit if neighbors moved their cars, which we did. Because of his poor planning, not all of our belongings fit, and we were forced to rent a U Haul on top of everything else. To make matters worse, the movers broke a glass door pane. When I raised the issue, Paul lied and claimed we asked for two hundred dollars off the bill, which is completely false. My only request was to speak with our landlord to coordinate replacement of the broken glass. Overall, this felt like a scheme rather than a professional moving service. Between the unnecessary late night visit, the pressure to sign specific paperwork, the poor planning, and the dishonesty afterward, this experience was stressful and uncomfortable. Buyer beware. P.S. I booked a full truckload to be on the safe side. The Hunks who arrived said I'd only be charged for a half truck if that's all I used. What a nice surprise! I did end up using the entire truck, but still. I appreciated their flexibility. They donate meals to hungry families with every job booked, and also donate to organizations who could use furniture. It's not often you find such a conscientious organization. Highly recommend!

I found american movers online and OMG what a difference. Adam was so kind and was able to send us a contract in minutes, provide a COI in like 48 hours and confirm a move date that was less then a week away! Amazing!!! Pedro, Julio and their guys were fast careful and efficient! They worked really hard and provided such a great service. They moved our stuff to their storage facility too and I'm looking forward to them moving it in to our new office, now that it's ready! So happy we found them!
