ADVICE: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! If you value your belongings I suggest renting space anywhere but this facility. Multiple units were ransacked and anything of value that could be stolen was and/or destroyed. Extra Space Management and Legal Dept take zero responsibility for a rash of break ins with both units and vehicles that have occurred at their facilities but this location in particular got hit hard. And whats worse is they throw the blame back at the victim. This occurred approx. 12 months ago so if you have not visited your unit I suggest that you do!! And if you did find it burglarized and they acted like they knew nothing well guess what they know a lot!! And to top it off allegedly "Via previous employees and community officials they all say it was their acting Management at the time. They also know the cameras were cut so the police officers were unable to do their job as much as they would love to help out the victims!! SHAME on you Extra Space Storage for not taking responsibility and doing the right thing by people that trusted in you!!!! They state that they are NOT responsible for items in their Storage Units. So do yourself and favor and go to one of the many many Reputable Storage Facilities on this Island!! read more

A few months ago my car was vandalized and needed a place to leave my car while traveling to the mainland. I had been there before with a friend who also rented a unit and enjoyed the experience he had when renting out his unit so I decided to return the day of my incident. I worked with Brisa the manager and her lovely assistant who were friendly and helpful through the process and left without any worries since the place seemed clean and secure. Prior to my return. I called to make sure we f the hours since my flight arrived my d day and wanted to make sure I would be on Time to pick up my car and as expected, my car was in good hands and they were not only friendly and helpful but they remembered me and that made a world of difference. I highly recommend this place for your storage needs and this awesome team !!!! read more

Today I rented a storage space at the Hulikoa Extra Space location with Maya assisting me with my logistical questions after I'd signed the contracts. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful with a good since of humor. Also, when working with the call center to set up the agreement w/ the mainland asst., Mariah, was excellent as well, very professional. She let me know about the Senior's discount and everything I needed to know to select the right space for my needs. It was a pleasure working with both assistants. If I could give more starts I would. Liz helped me greatly and had the nicest personality. I went in with a couple moving issues and she showed me a unit, took her time but was succinct in her answers and questions. I have been on the islands for 5 years and she was inthe top 3 of nicest people that i have gotten to talk to. If anyone from my businesses needs to store anything, they will go to see her. This Extra Space Storage facility is in a convenient location, just south of Kona's airport by about 4 miles. I've been renting here for the past three years, and have been very satisfied with the management and the overall condition and security of this facility. The overseeing manager, John, has gone out of his way on a number of occasions to help me with storage unit changes and questions. Im very appreciative of that. Easy access, very well maintained, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Very affordable, and I feel my "junk" is overly protected with the electronic security as well as the on-site live-in: for I feel very safe going to my storage unit during early/late hours (when the office is closed), even though this location is at the far end of an industrial area. read more
