Had a very large space, corner unit, for about 6 months with this facility. Another mistake. Maybe not as bad as the one on Avery Street (Public Storage). But one would think if you travel far enough away from downtown LA, you will get away from the Skid Row factor and the shopping carts all over etc. In fact, It looked clean and perfect enough to do the job. The parking lot seemed big enough to maneuver a truck around in, so it seemed that it would be easy to get in/out. Of course, STUPIDLY, did not check to see what the hours of accessibility were so we moved our furniture in there, locked the door, with two locks and left. When we came back over the week or weekend to get to the stuff, once again, everything is locked up tight after 6pm so FORGETTABOUTIT. You want to get to your stuff after a regular work day, You mean, the work day that most people have to do which is 9am - 5pm and then YOU, Extra Space Storage, want US, the customer, to fuck up our own livelihood so that we can bend to YOUR hours...... while, you work a perfect 9:30am - 6pm day and none of this is especially important to you because you don't have to access your things after work like most people do.... or on the weekends and push and shove your way into a parking lot that is filled with a lot of other people trying to do the same thing. So stupid. SO..... after a few months of this nonsense. We moved everything out. And on top of this, the MOST disturbing thing was to find that we didn't get away from the "homeless living in their storage units", at all. In fact, one day, there was a plastic bag with feces that someone had thrown into the hallway and it landed very close to our unit so the entire facility smelled like human waste!!!! So, I discovered, that there WAS someone sleeping in their unit overnight, POOPED, and threw this contamination away from THEM and down the hall and closed the door. The manager apologized, but at that moment I had already made a decision. MOVE!!!! read more

I thought there was mold in the place I was moving into, so I ordered a storage space to move my things into. Tyler was super professional and helpful, I was able to do it all over the phone, and internet. The prices were low too. 2 days later I got the lab results back and NO MOLD. I told Tyler I wasn't going to need the space after all and since I hadn't moved in yet he asked his manager to reverse the charges. I was so grateful, because I had signed the contract. every extra space storage i have rented frm nyto la has had the nicest most accomodating staff.... but i would give this location 100 stars if i could... just because of tina. she is a gem ... one of a kind.... an incredible asset to ex space storage ! she always brightened my day & showed genuine care & concern ... & not just on a business level.. unfortunately i had to recently consolidate to relocate... but i will definitely miss seeing .. talking laughing... & feeling evrything i own is safe & secure. and she's a great audience !! lol thx for evrything tina .... you have no idea how blessed you are. wishing you the best always ! :) read more

I found Extra Space Storage when my storage facility of 12 years lost their lease due to gentrification. When I walked into Tina's super clean office, I was greeted warmly and efficiently. She showed me around the facility, which was absolutely amazingly clean and well organized. So, I signed up immediately. Tina has been absolutely exceptional! Always friendly and always prepared, she treats each customer with respect and professionalism beyond what is usually seen, nowadays. I am extremely happy with my move to Extra Space Storage on La Cienega Ave.. The hours are much more flexible and I always feel safe and secure, even late into the evening. A very clean facility and responsive management.

I donno about other locations but there are rats in this location, your stuffs that you thought are very safe is totally not, all my documents and files got bitten and chewed by rats in this storage, those rats even chewed a hole on all my expensive equipments, shoes and plastic boxes. The only thing the staffs do is to put mouse traps or something in every corners of that floor but obviously its not working at all. Extra space storage didn't even respond to my complain. The only thing they do is to increase the price every around half a year... I am so going to move to another storage once I found a better place. Extra Space Storage sucks! read more

I got myself into a jam and Extra Space was able to take my on-the-spot request over the phone and got me a storage unit while I was driving there. The facility is spotless, and the staff are always on rounds to keep it that way. The crew is great. They go out of their way to be helpful at all times. Very easy, great experience with this storage spot! The process was simple, the employees are VERY friendly and helpful and there is always plenty of free parking that is very convenient to unload and load from! The location is great, especially if you need something in between the southern beach cities and LA and don't want to deal with LA traffic!
