I went yesterday to inquiry about a storage unit and to see how big is a 5x10 unit. I young lady at the front desk was very friendly and super helpful. While the facility is nice and the employees are friendly, the PROBLEM is the price increases! I have been there a little over a year and am about to receive another price increase. It turns out they increase the price every 6 months. My rent has gone from $429 to $463 and will now increase to $526. This is just ridiculous! It's not like they are increasing any services, in fact the secure entry has been out of order for months! I will be looking for a new place that doesn't take advantage of customers who need long-term storage solutions. read more

My complaint here is they take advantage of you financially once all your stuff is moved in with AUTOMATIC price increases 2 times a year! These are $10+ increases each time. So, stored my stuff in 2 units for more that 2 years. Price kept going up, and up. So at the beginning of July I turned in my notice to vacate more than 15 days before vacate. I vacated 1 unit with no problems. However the second unit, they continued to bill me, without my knowledge, and sent me to collections. I inquired about it over the phone and was told they did not know I had moved out. I found out later that the person that told me they did not know, was actually the person that took my final payment, so she straight lied to me. I actually came back to the office and spoke with the person that actually accepted my vacate notices, and she claims she only sees one of the notices. So she either did not do her job or someone deleted the second notice. Well it seems that someone deleted my records, and it was the person that was supposed to close my account, who's name is on the receipt. Liz, the local manager there at the facility called me, and asked me a few questions, and told me she will make sure it gets straightened out. I thanked Liz and we are on our way to getting this resolved. She also told me that person and 1 other, no longer work there, they were terminated. So I am changing my review to add 3 more stars. Except for the delay in response, the multiple price hikes, and the botched exit, it was OK having my things in storage there. read more

William and the manager Liz were very helpful from the moment I walked in! I had previously booked a reservation to go back and secure the unit, but due to timing, I wasn't able to make it until a few days later. However, they were very understanding and we're able to accommodate my needs. I stated the size and what I needed and without hesitation, William immediately took me for a drive to view the units! (Of course upon availability). The place looks very secure, and best of all, it's drive in! So you don't have to carry stuff from all the way out in the parking lot. I got this unit for my mother to use, and considering she's old fashioned, I know she'll love the security and how safe she'll feel in there too! Plus, you can send Amazon packages too! I would not recommend having a unit here. I was very excited about this place! It seems good when you first set up, but I've had multiple frustrating experiences. First of all, their janitor is always parked in the most important parking spot with his large car taking naps, or resting. It's fine that he rests, but not in the parking spot where I need to park to unload items. I have directly told the office multiple times and they don't do anything about it. I am there multiple times a day loading and unloading my belongings. It is very inconvenient. As well, on multiple occasions I have almost stepped on injection needles. This is not directly their fault, but I have reported it and they've been left and not cleaned up, for 2+ days at a time. this is out of their control, but there are some other tenants who happen to show up when I'm there and watch me very closely. I have had multiple friends notice this happening and they've said something to the office as well. I feel unsafe, unwelcome, and not taken seriously at this storage facility. I don't think there's a business sector I despise more than self storage (with airlines and healthcare coming in a close 2nd and 3rd) and Price Self Storage helps lead the way. Better be careful of those move in specials folks and ask when and how much it will increase. Mine started at $99 and within a couple years I was paying close to $300 with no end in sight! I've never seen anyone increase rates so much. You can expect yours to increase every 3 months likes clockwork. Not even apartment buildings can get away with that amount of increase and they house real live human beings. Oh and you'll get screwed on the way in needing to buy a lock that you'll only ever be able to use at their facility and on the way out unless you remember they require a 15 day notice from the contract that you signed several years ago. Do yourself a favor and go online to MakeSpace where they come and collect your stuff and rates never increase. I've never been so happy cleaning out my space with a green MakeSpace truck following behind while giving the final finger to this atrocious place. Stay away!! read more

I am completely and utterly in shock and appalled at the poor customer service that I received today from this company. I had called in and wanted to know The prices of how much it would cost to store my furniture in one of their units for a single bedroom. The woman I spoke to was completely rude and unprofessional, and had the nerve to hang up the phone on me! She had asked me a couple questions, how long I needed the unit for, what I would be storing in the unit, which I had informed her what I was going to put in there and the length of my furniture stay. There was in fact, a question about a promotion of first months rent free and how could I get it? For some reason the employee was so sprung on me getting that specific promotion, even though I only need the storage unit for a short amount of time. I couldn't get my answers from here, there was some back and forth with her, and at one point, I said don't worry about the first months rent free promotion, all I wanted to know was how much would I pay out of pocket if I just bought a month. She proceeded to argue with me, and didn't understand that even tho I'd like a month free it wasn't about that now, I just wanted pricing and for some reason it became a confrontation with her over the phone. She then proceeded to tell me, you know what I don't think our place will be a good fit for you or us so have a great day, and this lady and the nerve to hang up on me. This is not customer service friendly and who you should have working your phone system and treating your customers. This is how you lose business, I was literally standing inside uhual storage next door comparing prices when all this happened. You guys need to do better and I hope you retrain your employees how to speak to customers. I have never been treated so poorly. I have time stamps and screen shots from my first call, and will be following up with her manager when they are in on Tuesday! Lucky I did call back, I got another woman named Courtney and she was a sweetheart, and answered all my questions and she deserves a raise and recognition but the first woman? I was very picky on where I was going to be getting a storage unit for my experiences with storages have not been very good. I've been broken into before at Public Storage which seems to be pretty common for some reason. I was even going to try them again, but when I went to three locations and the customers and employees were not happy or recommending them, I ran away! Lol plus they say $1 move in special, but literally none of the locations I picked were available for that sale. They post the promo for the facilities that are in questionable areas and far away. I suggested several ones, but there were no promos for the nicer areas and the cost was double in comparison. ugh Then I saw PRICE SELF STORAGE!! They were able to let me make a reservation online AND THEY HAD A REAL PROMOTION OF THE FIRST MONTH FREE! All I needed was a cylinder lock and 30$ to move in.. I ended up paying all together $39 to MOVE IN that day!! I was also given a tour and even helped by the staff to move my stuff into my unit! That helped out tremendously! Also what I like is that you can use the ramp to drive your car all the way up to the second level so you don't have to go through a MAZE to find your unit.. you can drive literally right up to your unit which is secured by three separate gates with your personal code and a steal garage door closes up on time as soon as it gets dark. So far so good! Super clean facility too! Usually you have to clean yourself and lay down a tarp on floor with no open containers or anything's without wrapping . This was different, I'm very happy with my new setup and the first impression for this unit! Also I like that it is temperature regulated facility that allows for more control over temperature and you don't need to worry about your stuff going bad or smelling musty! Thankyou for your excellent customer service and support in moving me in, they also stayed later on past closing to make sure I received the proper knowledge about the paperwork I was signing and physically saw my unit and helped me move in it!! Absolutely the worst. Poorly managed by incompetent trolls that only want to take your money. Put in wrong account information and couldn't access the property for a month as my pin was set incorrectly and blamed me for the mistake. Initially offer a great 1st month deal then sporadically raise every other month or so by $10 bucks cause the Manager/Proprietor says location demands it and he can do what he wants. I've been using their services for almost 3 years, I came back to LA just to find out that a rat or rats ate all my books, towels, bed sheets and boxes, I've been paying for a protection plan that doesn't cover rodents, if a plane crashed on the building that's cover but something more common like rats is not... I made a complaint to the person in charge and she pretty much called me a liar, not only she was extremely rude, she tried to blame me, she pretended I was lying until i showed her the pictures and her reaction was even worst, "we don't have rats here, and we are not responsible for your damage" BTW, The rat is pretty much alive, it came out of my unit as soon as I opened it. read more

Ok, so this place is in the hood, but whatever. The manager (shes no longer there) Debby, was really helpful when I forgot to pay my bill... for 2 months (I went on vacation and totally spaced it). When I returned they were about to auction of all of my shtuff and she was cool enough to get an extension so that I could come in and pay the balance. Then 6 months later, when I attempted to pay my bill online the amount that was due was much more then I actually owed. I called and spoke to Ryan (manager) and he corrected the amount within hours, I paid my bill and didn't accrue the late fee- Thanks Ryan!! :) The negatives about this storage unit (aside from its location) is the fact that they raise the rent every couple of months and more then a handful of times when I've gone to the property, my freaking code doesn't open the gate- SUPER ANNOYING, especially when the office is c.l.o.s.e.d. My last and final gripe is that the units don't have enclosed ceilings, they have a wire grate over the top which lets in TONS of bugs, dirt and other randy sheeot. BOGUS. If you ever rent a space here, make sure to cover EVERYTHING with sheets. read more
