The employees are courteous and helpful and the facility is fine but the prices are a bit high! I started at $199 for a 10x15 ft unit, in 2016. The rate has increased every 6 months. We are now paying $357! I hadn't planned on storing our furniture for so long but I can't change that. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.....When I moved I noticed A LOT OF THINGS MISSING. So I filed a claim with the insurance that extra storage makes you have while Your renting but they are useless. If you have experience the same thing please reach out to me..... I'm speaking to attorney once I have enough people that have rented from this facility with the same problem. The first couple increases I was like okay whatever...but now I'm like okay this is getting ridiculous!!!! Stay away from this dump!! Went with my step-dad to help them move there stuff out of there and into their new home. When we got half way through their things we saw RAT DROPPINGS AND PEE EVERYWHERE on their things. The rats also were chewing through boxes and some dining chairs!! When my step-dad went to the office to ask the lady to come take a look, she said she was with a customer and would be right out, fine. We continued moving the items into the truck, and surprise surprise, the lady NEVER came out to us. In fact, she passed by 3 TIMES on her golf cart, looking and giggling. This place is INFESTED with rats and is a rip off SCAM! read more

So far so good. Got a 5x10 unit they are very clean. Was recommended by a family member. The only reason why I'm dropping it from a 5 star rating to a three star rating is because the price on my unit has gone up two already! Don't know why, maybe because they don't want people there longer than a year and they increase the price in order to kick the customer out. I don't know, but it should be the longer you have your storage unit and are always on time paying your bill it should go down a little! Upon further research I have conducted my bill has gone up $20 in the short time I have owned it, that's ridiculous! Might have to look at a different storage unit company. read more

We needed storage really quickly in October. I don't remember her name, but she was very helpful. She was very patient with us and showed us around a handful of units and assisted in which size would be best for us. Also, she knew exactly what fit our budget and found the right unit for us. We were only there for about 3 months, but I felt the place as a whole was very clean, friendly and safe. Thanks for helping us out and I'm sorry this review took forever to get out! Let me start by saying if I could give zero or negative stars, I would. I rented two units that were side by side but separate. All seemed well and fine until one day I cleaned out one of the units and went to return the key and inform them I only need the one unit. That's when I am told that those units are a package deal and I cannot rent just one of them. They tell me I will continue to be charged for both! How ridiculous! To be clear, there is NOTHING linking the two units together. They are simply adjacent to each other and no different than any other storage unit they have. Bottom line is these people are total scam artist. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Now my account has been sent to collections for refusal to pay for an empty and un-used unit. I intend to take this "debt" to my grave. You'll never get that money Extra Space Storage!...Never! read more

Cindy and Nick at Extra Space Storage in Manteca made a tough situation easier for my fiance and I, so we're delighted to have done business with them and would like to recommend them to others!! In short, we drove some personal and household stuff up from Southern California for a relative who was relocating to the Manteca area from the East Coast. We rented a unit at ESS in Manteca for one month and sent our relative the key via certified mail. That gave him 30 days to retrieve the stuff at his leisure. Everything worked perfectly and that's largely because of the staff at Extra Space Storage in Manteca. They listened to our needs and worked with us to devise a plan that would work for everyone. read more

Office staff at this location are awesome. They always seem happy to see their customers, super friendly, very helpful. They are very professional, yet treat their customers like old friends. My first time using a storage unit and they answered all my questions without making me feel dumb. Also made sure my gate code worked and that I actually knew how to open and lock my unit. The facilities seem to be in a nice area, and are always clean and quiet. No riff-raff hanging around. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is because after only 4 months storing my stuff there between leaving my apartment and moving into my future home (currently being remodeled, thus delaying my move), I just received a notice that my rate is being raised for no apparent reason, so that's kind of sad. Otherwise they would have my full recommendation. read more
